Poison was having a marvelous time wandering the swamp. She would veer left or right depending on the wind, and truly enjoyed pouncing on unsuspecting critters...though that turtle that one time had been not so fun....now she was meandering through a northern section in search of some kimeti to talk to. Trees were great to talk to, but Poison needed someone to actually respond, and trees weren't so great at that.

"Hello." A voiced echoed in the swamp. Out from the mist came a large buck, head held high, and cloven hooves gently leading his way. He lifted his legs high, then set them firmly into the soft earth as he walked closer. Swamp insects dispersed as he walked into a patch of low-lying ghost orchids, giving his presence an unnatural feeling. Though his intentions were good, his appearance often said otherwise, and this ultimately became his downfall. He halted, sinking into the much slightly, splaying his hooves to catch his stance, and watched intently.

The air lifted around them as Blooming Heat spoke. "Hello, friend. Why are you here alone?" He kept his stance still awaiting an answer, but soon found himself relaxing around the female. He immediately felt rude for frightening her and wished to make it up; he dipped his head easily finding a shiny pebble. He picked it up gently in his dexterous lips and presented the present to her in apology.

"I have been following the night star to my destiny..." He looked to the underbrush wistfully. He returned his gaze to the waking earth and spoke softly, "Alas, I have not yet found what I am looking for." Answering her next question he responded in a matter-of-fact way. "Actually, you are the first other I have met."

He smiled for the first time as the female bounced. "It is possible," he started, his expression returning to normal. "that we will both find what we are looking for." He paused and went into deep thought. His eyes focuses on nothing and everything at the same time, pulling him deeper into his trance. He blinked. "Maybe... we are both looking for the same thing..." he suggested.

"I think now," Blooming Heat looked to the sky. "We should follow our souls." He inhaled the muggy air, sweeping with the breeze Poison followed, and dusted with the star he chased, he smiled. "Whatever it may be that we are looking for, I sense the journey may be long." He looked down to her confidently, continuing. "I am ready for this expedition, but are you?" he inquired, raising his ears in question.

"In pure honesty, following your soul is something learned by oneself, and differs between beings. I may follow my soul differently than you and others. Though our path may be the same, our journey there will differ." He contemplated. "The difficulty," he moved his head to one side. "on the other side, can and will range as well." He paused to look at her; an intensity he once saw in his reflection before. "Think of it as a waking Naming Dream; each differs, but they all fall under the same category. It will be up to you to determine your path..." Blooming Heat seemed to be elsewhere in thought; Thorny pond...? he thought to himself. That sounds so familiar... but from where? Is this Déjà vu? He snapped out of his trance when Poison Gloam spoke of Glowing. He smiled coming back to reality. "The distance is not a concern; of course I will go with you to retrieve your friend."
