It's self-explanatory. It is a school for vampires. Some humans attend the school as well. The teachers are all vampires. None of the humans know the vampires are what they are - vampires.

The vampires aren't too thrilled about having their food in the same classroom - possibly even the same dorm room - as them. Some of them can't resist the smell and give into their temptations, but most of them can control it.

Alicia doesn't remember her human life that well, it was so long ago. She grew up in Europe during her human life. She doesn't remember who changed her. She woke up one morning as a monster and that's all she remembers. She ran away from home immediately, not wanting to hurt her family. She isn't proud of her past and the number of people she killed. Ever since 1498, Alicia has been living in the US. She has been adapting to life in the Americas over the years. She is very social and has a lot of friends.
