Sasha had told her about the meetings and peaked her interest. However, Ellette was nervous. She trudged slowly behind Penterino, clinging to his hand as they approached the building. "Will he like me, Papa? What if he doesn't like me?" Penterino stopped and knelt down, pulling the little girl into a warm, comforting embrace. Pulling back he brushed back her silky curls and smiled at her. "And what's not to like, honey? You're a perfectly sweet little girl. I'm sure your dad is gonna love you just fine." The words brought her a small comfort, and a little courage. She smiled at him and nodded, hugging him back tight before he got up and led her inside. Stopping by the front desk, the fawn smiled as he lifted the tiny elflette into his arms to see over the desktop. "We're here for our meeting? Ellette to see Rudolph."

The grand buck had once again been brought down for a meeting with one of his two children from the Mixers Laboratories, and was presently standing in a nice warm room, enjoying a fire and something from a rather fancy looking feed trough. Nearby, Apoxi was seated on a stool and grinned over at Ellete and Penterino.
"Hey there. This is Rudolf, of course, as you probably guessed. I'm Apoxi, as you might remember and I'm here to translate for him." she explained, pushing her hair a bit out of the way.
Penterino nudged his daughter forward, "Go ahead and introduce yourself, honey."

Spurred on by her father, the girl curtsied and wrung her hands anxiously, looking up at the magnificent stag. "H-Hi, D-Daddy. My name's Ellette." A shy smile spread over her features as she moved a little closer, nose glimmering with anticipation as she waited to see how he would react to seeing her for the first time. The resemblance wasn't nearly as strong as her brother's, but that nose was unmistakable if anything to confirm their link.

The deer looked down at her with his eyes firm, not hard and cold but obviously weighing her behavior and how she was. After a time, they seemed to soften, and he leaned down to nuzzle her a little before nodding to Apoxi to speak.
"He says you look like a very fine little girl and he's very glad to meet you, Ellette."

The girl was elated to find such warm acceptance. Gently she squeezed his muzzle and released him, relieved he liked her as much as she liked him. This caused her to visibly become more forward, that cheerful smile glowing as brightly as her nose. "I'm so glad to meet you to! I have so many questions, Daddy! I hope you don't mind...It's just so good to see you."

He nodded, a seeming chuckle coming from him as he looked down at her with good humor. He gave Apoxi a motion once more so she could translate again.
"He'd love to hear your questions, little one. He'd be happy to tell you anything he can."

Nodding back, she gently touched her nose and inclined her head slightly. "W-Well, has your nose ever gone out? Mine did a little while ago! I got sick a-and I couldn't get it to light up any more. I was so scared...It's so dark when it wasn't lit!"

Rudolf listened to her story before nodding a bit and flicking his tail some.
"His nose goes out when he's sick or has done or helped do something bad, even without meaning to." Apoxi explained, "You're a little one so yours might go out more when you're sick. Don't worry so much about it, just try to be a good girl and stay healthy."
Rudolf made another nod then. "Oh, and eat lots of soup. It's good."

That seemed logical enough, after all, he was a lot bigger and stronger - so his nose had to be more powerful, right? Content with the answer she moved on, this time giving way to the child-like admiration for her famous parent. "Daddy, how do you fly? And do you really wear jingle bells when you do? Every time I hear them I think of you and it makes me so happy!"

Rudolf thought for a bit before having Apoxi explain about the magic of Christmas Spirit and what makes reindeer able to fly from the northpole, and all about how yes, he did wear special magic jingle bells when he rode with the sleigh.
The deer nuzzled her head a bit, and made a comment about hoping she was being a good girl since Christmas was in the next month or so.

Ellette leaned into the nuzzle, closing her eyes as she enjoyed her father's attentions. "I've been good!" she offered, elaborating a bit further as she remembered how large her family was. "We all have, I think. Sasha hasn't bitten anyone for a whole week, and Belle made us gingersnaps! Mimosa sleeps a lot, so I think she's been good, and Caruso..." It was there she hesitated, looking up with concern at her dad. "Daddy, if someone is bad, but meant to be good, what happens to them? Caruso isn't mean. He's just...different. I don't think he's bad on purpose."

Rudolf looked a little confused as to how to answer this, but after a while Apoxi spoke his response. "He really doesn't get to make that decision, but Santa's very forgiving about kids who are different. Especially on gaia."

The thought was comforting. Ellette smiled wide and hugged her father, nestling in against his velvety fur. "Thank you Daddy, I know everything will be alright now! Though - I hope I get to see you again on Christmas... Oh!" Only then had the thought dawned on her, the child inclined her head slightly as she ventured another question, "What can I get you for Christmas?"

Rudolf seemed to laugh again, "You don't need to give me anything little one. I am quite happy knowing you and the others have a happy christmas. That is all I could ever need." Apoxi translated for him, keeping in time with his laughs and nuzzles.

The girl giggled and stroked his muzzle whenever he nuzzled and finally took a step back, grinning wide. A brilliant red radiated off of her nose, happiness reflected brightly. "Thank you...for everything, Daddy. I know I won't get to see you again...not for a little while. Would it be ok if, maybe...Daddy, can we take a picture together? That would be the best gift I could get. That way I could remember today and how happy I am!"
