The ghostly figure slinked through the shadows of the terrain. Bright optics peered from the winter foliage before he emerged. The shadows dragged from bod as he appeared into the moon-washed opening. He looked up to the sky, to see the clouds formed around the moon each lined with a silvery thread. Didarabocchi sat there, his brows mixed with frustration. He had been in these Woods since his early youth and still he has not found this rumoured wolf.
He was lean and well muscled from traveling, if one looked hard enough the ridges of his ribs could be seen. He stood there reflecting on the weeks that had gone by his search in vein. There was no point in returning to his homeland, which was now ashen and barren. The two-legs were sure to move in fast and build their dens. The male felt the vibrations in his throat as a low growl was emitted.
It couldn't be helped. He decided, the two-legs were coming no matter nothing could've stopped the impending doom. Not even the wolf could drive back the flames that devoured the foliage and prey. He had little to nowhere to go so he headed South as there would be no refuge on the beaches of the North where the sky and water was endless. He glanced around testing the wind.
He couldn't sleep, not now. The wolf was soon back on his paws and he began wandering throughout the woods. He passed by the large trees that had overcome the test of time. He continued walking until he looked down and found tracks. They weren't fresh, but they weren't old either. Without a second glance he continued his travels.

(( ^_^ I'll hop in with Nessa here if you don't mind. heart ))
Nessarose was currently trotting through the forest down an old worn deer path, a way of clearing her thoughts she'd picked up long ago from her father. Out here, under the stars, with the silvery moonlight drifting down through the branches of the trees, Nessa could truly find herself, center herself, and recharge her emotional reserves for the next day. The sound of her paws on the ground was a steady drum, and she let the rhythm serve as her mantra, lulling her many thoughts out of her mind.
Ambling through a swath of dark shadows, a scent hit her nose, and her ears pricked up absently. She didn't meet many wolves at night around this part of the woods. Curiously, on a whim, she decided to follow the smell, and investigate its source. In the evening, her night-sky colored coat let her blend in effortlessly with the shadows, the cream color of her lighter bits washed into a colorless gray under her form. Despite her own ample camoflauge, Didarabocci was all but invisible in the night, and she saw no sign of his body until she was but a few yards away from him. even then, all that was clear was a ghostly outline. She could tell where he was simply by the way his coat blotted out the stars behind him, and by the light that reflected off his eyes.
"Hello there," She said when she saw him, and paused in the night. "Out for a midnight stroll?" Her tone was friendly if not a little cheeky, but truly she was a little unnerved. It was slightly eerie, speaking to just a trace of a wolf.

((And Kouji, if this is acceptable, yes? biggrin ))
Not very far off Nessa's mate had come in search of her, merely desiring to share her company and make sure that everything was alright. By now they'd sucessfully recruited three wolves to help their cause, Zedikiah, Jaxom, and Duhka and Lancaster, the wry fox. Kouji could sense a growing uncertainy in his lover, however, with each new individual they met and "signed on".
He could scent her, following her trail, but kept his pace leisurely. He would not reach the other two just yet.
