Me and a couple fo friends have noticed a weird thing about band kids. If you get more then one in a room, they tend to think or act similar. We've turned this into the Band Connection Theory, which is pretty much that. If you have more thenone band kid in a room together, their minds fuze and they think the same.
This has been backed up by many experiences i and other band kids at my school have had.
For instance, afterschool on Wednesday I was walking down the stairs and saw another band friend of mine. I called out her name, but at the same time, the tenor sax section leader, who i didn't know was even behind me, caleld her name. We called at the same pitch, same length, and exact same time, without planning it.
Then, just yesterday we had a test in anatomy. I share the class with the head dm, and one of the tenor sax players had to come in during our class to ake it because she had missed it her class period. We were all told our scores after class. All three of us got the same score, 27 out of 41. I don't know which questions we got wrong, so I don't know how far this weirdness went. I don't think we missed all the same questions though, because otherwise the teacher would've held us after class, at least I think he would.
then multiple instances of synched hand-raises, walkign in step in the hallway, and desk-drumming the same song at the same time without planning it.
So has anyone else had any experiences liek this that would back up this theory?

WELL, lemme tell you a little somethin'.
In my last period (Eng) I have like 5 other band kids (in a class of like 10...). Two are percussionist, a trombone, me (trumpet), a flute, and a sax. We all started humming the show and actually did the whole thing (even with visuals xD) before our OLD OLD OLD teacher even noticed.
We also walk in step if we ever walk with each other. If one person starts singing like the snare part to a cadence, another will join in with the bass part etc.
I was walking with another trumpet to one of our classes when we called out for another one (Who happened to be with our Section leaders) We all said each other's names in the same exact way :O

There's always one or two horns I know where I can just look at them, and we'll know exactly what the other person is thinking..... its weird... for example, I was playing assist. principal on a piece in orchestra and there are these odd muted parts where the part needs to be broken up between two people (because it's impossible to get your mute in and out that fast) and we both just mutually agreed how to play the passage without talking about it and without having our director tell us or having it written on the page..... I know a lot of it has to do with common sense and we both have experience breaking up parts, but its weird when you're on the same brain wavelength like that with someone.

I will forgive but I won't forget I walk in step with a lot of my friends. We'll just be casually walking down our hallway and I'll glance down for a second and smile. Then they look down and we just randomly burst out laughing.
We're very...er... Interesting...
And I hope you know, you've lost my respect.

Oh yeah this definitely happens. Though I guess for us it's mostly inside jokes that everyone remembers simultaneously.
I remember one of our games the ball kept falling off the tee every time the kicker placed it there for the kickoff...we all shouted "TEASE" at him at the exact same time. (In our band we say "tease" instead of "as you were, sir") Poor guy looked so confused.

Update on ,y connections: Me and my friend want to eb drum major. I kinda hope we both get it next year. Mostly because me and him ar eperfectly in sync. We cant get otu of step. We will be walking,a nd automatically get in step, and when we try to ge tout of step, we just get back in. The other day we decided to test simultaneous conducting. He started, and I joined in. He sped up almsot 100 bpm, and I matched him perfectly withotu hesitation as if he were keeping a steady tempo. He slowed down really slow, and i was still right in. And we canboth keep a steayd tempo and can match a tempo at random, like if you say to go at 120 bpm, we can do it no problem, in sync, 60 bpm, got it, 83, got it. Turn on ametronome and we will be matched perfectly.

I noticed that at football games, We usually all scream in the same pitch and try to keep a constant tone. Even the deep-voiced dudes yell the same pitch....in a lower octave. LOL
