Admittedly, his first fight hadn't gone so well. Glaucophane wasn't used to losing, whether as Ashton Stormwill, his natural identity (mostly because he kept bullying the same nerds over their money over and over), or as his current corrupted incarnation (because he had only just started his duty and had intended to bully citizens over their starseeds... once); he'd have soon to come to terms with the fact the world was a dangerous place no longer just for the weaker, but also him.
Which was very ironic, now that he had become some kind of literal superhero. However, not only was he only one superpowered individual in an ever-growing sea of stronger and more experienced superhumans, but he was very obviously on the Dark Side, which tends to make you a target for the good guys and other competitors for world domination alike.
His only real problem was to keep thinking the Negaverse was the America to the England that was the Moon Kingdom on a 4th of July, and therefore, the good guy. You couldn't blame him for remember both one important event of his history classes and a bit of Nega-propaganda he'd been told months ago.

In consequence, all he knew was that he'd become some kind of badass soldier and that, maybe, if he gathered enough starseeds, he could imagine that a few of Charonite's cells would have been proud of him. Maybe. Thankfully, he didn't know enough of the previous General-King to understand he was more likely to turn senshi first.
Speaking about senshis, as he walked his momentarily-defeated self back home, he saw a very suspicious form on top of a building. That was too interesting to turn down. The night hadn't ended yet. His lips formed a large, stupid grin, as he tried to jump on top of the fast food. Glau knew he could, but he failed at first as he barely avoided the wall; he managed to stop right in front of it, stopping his momentum with the help of a conveniently-placed garbage can. Okay, okay, he needed to be careful. He shook his head, brushed the bits of pseudo-chicken nuggets off his spiffy uniform, pretended he had not just made an awful ruckus, and leapt again in direction of the roof.
Little did he know he was about to face one of the strongest sailor soldier alive, and her guardian cat. Well, not so much the cat as the sailor soldier.

One of the strongest senshi alive...

...who still had major issues with being on the top of buildings like this.

What the Lieutenant couldn't hear was the conversation going on between senshi and cat. "'Do a lil' trainin' ya said. 'It ain't anythin' ya can't handle' ya said. Does this look like somethin' I can handle?!" The senshi's hand was holding onto the edge of the roof access door. Though she was obviously feeling very apprehensive about the situation, she prevented her gloved hands from trembling in fear. It was a sign of weakness.

"You know it is faster to travel by rooftop. You need to get over this unreasonable fear of yours. It isn't an airplane. It's a rooftop. You can jump and land fine. All senshi can!" The feline was the voice of reason in this instance, but still somehow sounded sympathetic.

The blonde senshi pointed to the atrocity that was the feathered wings attached to her rear. "Ya see these?! They aren't fer flyin', last I checked! I ain't a bird, cat!"

The tailless feline, who was usually very attentive when others were talking seemed to rather suddenly glance away. Her pale green eyes were practically looking directly at the nearby Lieutenant, even if she hadn't spotted him yet. It was not difficult to sneak up on a guardian cat if one knew how they worked. Yet, most did not, so in turn, she was able to notice when the new company seemed eager to join the party.

"I suggest you stop complaining, Iris. A lieutenant is nearby. Man up and deal with this... and remember..."

The senshi, now identified as Sailor Iris, groaned slightly. "Yeah, cat, I know!" She didn't need to be reminded. "No Revenge yet!" Rolling her eyes, she then paid attention to where the feline was looking.

"Come out so we can get this over with..." The yellow suited figure formed a loose fist and almost seemed to take a fighting stance. Almost. It definitely wasn't any sort of formal stance, if anything.

Have you ever seen those video games characters being made to repeatedly run into the same wall, over and over again, with no sign of desire to give up?
It was starting to look a bit like that.
On the 3rd try, Glaucophane managed to catch the edge of the roof and stayed several seconds in that uncomfortable position, with just his arms and his head popping out to see his next opponents. When you suddenly gain superhuman jumping powers, it can be hard to control where exactly you'll land. The Negaverser caught his breath before he could do anything else.

As he watched the girl with an extremely girly outfit, he had that strange feeling he hadn't consciously noticed when he fought Chaonis. He couldn't tell why, but it felt like there were several senshi at once in front of him. But Glau had not been introduced to power signatures, and only raised his head to make sure she was alone. Well, there was a harmless-looking cat, and he heard the voice of a younger girl coming from... somewhere.
“Okay, so you wait a second... and I'll get back to you”, he said, panting, before dragging the rest of his body on the roof. While he was making that effort, he didn't shut up: “I am Glaucophane! And now... is your chance to fight like a man. Wheeze. Yeah, man up, whoever said that.”
Tired? Maybe. Bruised? Maybe. Covered in nuggets bits with old ketchup all over his boots? Sure. But he was not going to turn away from a fight. He was an equal opportunity kind of guy, and hoped she would at least try to defend herself.
“I warn you, just because your friend is invisible don't mean I'm gonna let myself get ******** up by her.”

The cat smirked a bit at being called "invisible" but she was not about to correct him. Instead, she merely sat her haunches down, as if settling in to simply watch for now.

He had no idea who he was challenging so boldly, and ********* was not about to give him any clues.

Nobody could accuse Sailor Iris of biting her tongue when it came to saying what she was thinking. For the first words that came out of her mouth at the challenge was simply "Yer a dipsh*t." No explanation to why he was a dipsh*t. Nobody ever explained why someone was an insult usually, they usually just up and and insulted the person. Why should she do any different?

Still maintaining her loose stance, she added "It ain't me ya gotta worry 'bout manning up. Ya better not p***y out, Glaucophane!" A large grin spread itself across her face. She really did need an outlet get out all of her rage over her recent motorcycle accident. What better way was there than to pummel a dipsh*t into the ground?

"Hurry up Grannie... I ain't got all day!"

The very next instant, Glaucophane's imposing self, or so he liked to think, was standing in front of Iris. His grin betrayed not only his confidence, but also a strange appreciation of the situation. “Oh, so you do wanna fight? Great. I think I'm gonna enjoy this.”
Underneath the superficial layer of garbage, the dark blue uniform hinted at an elegance and nobility that Glau completely lacked, as demonstrated by his posture changing to match the senshi's.

Suddenly, he had an idea. He would try to do what he had always been doing in similar cases. “Alright. Let's do this s**t the proper way. Fists only. I'm not using my weapon if you don't use your fancy s**t. I won't hit your boobs if you don't hit my balls. And don't complain if I damage your bow and stuff.” Well, that was straightforward. And for some reason, he expected his enemy to accept and not change her mind halfway through the fight.

"Ya say fists only, that means no kickin' an sh*t, right?" She looked at the Lieutenant with a wary eye, even if that grin of hers still remained on her lips. It wasn't the first time she had been challenged by the Negaverse. In fact, she remembered Sailor Tisiphone rather easily, who had also made plenty of rules to the challenge she made. And in the end, the b*tch didn't even keep her word.

Scheat...

The blonde senshi already assumed this Negaverser was going to be like the rest. He'd find a way to backstab somehow, even with the terms on the table.

"Only a d**k who can't fight needs t'rely on bustin' balls," she scoffed before hacking up a glob of spit and spitting to the side. "I ain't got any intentions on usin' anythin' but my fists, dipsh*t... so let's get this started already!" She was tired of waiting. Not even waiting for a response, the tall yellow suited girl swung in fast with her right, already aiming for this Lieutenant's gut.

From the sidelines, all the cat offered was a simple "Just don't get lazy and keep your wits about you!"

He chuckled. “Who the hell do you think I am? Of course that means no kickin'. Duh.” Right after speaking, his expression shifted to a more serious one. This time, he wouldn't screw up. It was disconcerting seeing a girl acting in a much manlier way than some guys he knew, but that was not necessarily a bad thing. Far from it.
Then, ********* commented.
He turned his head. “Did that cat just ta-”
Iris' fist connected with Glau's stomach rather violently, as he'd lost his focus. First lesson: senshi can be bloody strong. Second lesson: forget the goddamn cats.
He struggled to breathe again fast enough. More air, dammit, he needed more air.
Fortunately, he found the energy to hold his left arm defensively in front of his chest while he threw his right hand towards Iris's cheek. The rush of adrenaline allowed him to forget the first blow she'd inflicted, but how long could he keep up before his last strength was drained?

The cat remained in place and watched as the Lieutenant more or less got the wind punched out of him for a second or two. His partial question spoke volumes to the spotted guardian. She voiced her opinion in two words.

"Fresh meat."

Ah, that felt so good to get out some of that aggression of hers. She heard a very slight wheeze escape the boy's lungs. For being such a big talker, this guy couldn't take a hit very well. At least, in this case, the first hit. She grinned for a moment at her accomplishment before bringing her lips down to cover her teeth the moment the Lieutenant swiped back at her. Her reaction time was pretty good, but it wasn't perfect. She moved her head in the same direction he swung in, but she still managed to feel him clip her square in the jaw. There would have been more force to the punch if she hadn't moved with the motion. If anything, it was simply revealing to the salmon-haired boy that Sailor Iris was no rookie when it came to fist fights.

The blonde moved her jaw from side to side, as if checking to see if there was any damage. "Eh... not bad." She bounced slightly in place, as if she was finally taking this whole thing seriously. Shifting her weight from her whole foot to merely the balls of her feet, she looked the Lieutenant over. "Show me more like that and maybe you'll stand a chance 'gainst me!"

Once more, the girl swung. However, she used her opposite hand this time, and instead of swinging low towards his stomach, she swung higher as if to return the favor he had just done for her by punching her jaw. You never swung to the same place twice until later in the fight, when it was less expected.

Once more, ********* spoke the truth, but Glaucophane blocked these words from his mind. He had enough on his hand right then, with the blonde senshi proving to be quite competent. He wasn't even willing to talk too much, which is saying a lot; maybe he would monologue when he had the upper hand...
This time, he raised his arm in time to parry, and took a small jump on her right side. He had set his own rules, and he was willing to respect them...
… the Nega attempted to throw a hook right in her ribs. One thing he knew is that a well-placed blow there could seriously hurt.
His eyes stared briefly at Iris's own, accompanied by a smirk. He was determined not to confirm the cat's words, even though he was really a kid thrown in a war with a tank whose manual hadn't been handed to him, the tank being his improved strength and agility. And his opponent's tank was superior to him, both due to experience and Eternal status, but he ignored that, and still acted like he seriously had a chance.
He was only starting to discover what it was like to fight for his own life, and not just for fun.

Glaucophane's fist made contact, but not with the ribs like he had hoped. Instead, the blonde's forearm was between the two of them.

There were hits you took, and then there were hits you blocked. That was one of the mistakes a rookie could easily make was to attempt blocking every hit, tiring themselves out and then missing a block to a rather crucial blow.

With a slight push of her arm, she attempted to shove the opponent's fist away again. With her opposite hand, it had already balled up into another fist and was swooping up from below in an effort to give a basic uppercut. Unfortunately for the Lieutenant, the Senshi had decided to finally get serious and was starting to pick up the pace of their little brawl.
