It was a very cool morning out at the dog park, and Jezebel was a tad disgruntled to be out of the house in weather like this. Still, she was bundled up heavily in her favorite coat and her hooded cloak, holding her wand in a gloved hand.
She was attempting to control and lift sticks and whatnot to throw for Jeff to chase. The motion wasn't hard - a simple point to select the item in question, a flick up to lift it, and then a quick flick back and forth to throw. Well, it'd be much more simple if she didn't have to actually channel her will and magic into the wand to make it do those things. Her grip was stiff and her hand motions jerky rather than smooth as she had to struggle to force the stick up off the ground and moving at all. Jeze STILL hadn't mastered throwing it, her motion too slow and steady, instead just making the stick fly forward and hang in the air.
All the same, Jeff was running and chasing after the floating sticks, jumping up at them when they hung above his head. It was getting to the point where Jeze was raising them higher when she failed at flinging them, just so he had a challenge to jump at. The problem with that was that if and when he caught it, she had to struggle to keep it aloft.

Carina adjusted the fit of her woolen scarf over her mouth as she walked into the fenced off area that was the local dog park. She didn't have a dog of her own but the rules didn't say you had to own one to come here. Which was a good thing since Carina needed to use this place for research. She'd recently started to try and actually train and teach Purple and it wasn't going too well. She knew what she wanted him to be and what she wanted him to do but how to get there was another thing. If she could watch people with their own pets she might get a better idea of how to make the lessons work.
Purple was more than a pet but well Carina had to admit that the Nutbar wasn't really much smarter than a dog that could talk. Not that he even talked that well most of the time.

As Jezebel was looking for another stick to pick up with her wand, Jeff's attention was drawn to a new person who'd entered the fenced in area. It seemed this person didn't realize you should probably be a little more careful when dogs were out to play, and he immediately rushed over to show her of her error, jumping and sniffing at her.
This, of course, drew Jeze's attention and she blinked, rushing over to put a hand on the pup's collar. "Down, Jeff, down! What have I told you about jumping people?" she asked, pulling him back with a ton of effort and looking apologetically at Carina. "Sorry about that. He likes to meet people."

Carina just laughed, she'd been startled when the dog had rushed at her but he hadn't seemed to mean much harm. "It's okay, at least he's friendly," she replied with a smile. Then again Purple was friendly and tended to greet people by trying to find out if he could eat them or anything they owned. She still remembered the time he tried to eat that metal boy Gera. " Am I allowed to pet him?"

Jeze looked between her pup and the other girl. "Depends, do you mind dog slopper and fur all over you? Cause if you don't, go ahead. He's a good boy, but Jeff's starting to shed and he just loves giving kisses." she explained, scratching a little at his ears. He needed baths a lot these days.
