Tsuabme was wanted her family back, well to be more specific she wanted her boys back. A few were back but not all and Tsu wanted them all back. Even thought the den was full with Ban'ma's cubs and Mau's cubs Tsu still missed her own cubs. Most of the girls were with their pads and the few boys that were back were at their own den with their own banus.
With this feeling riding her petite shoulders Tsu wandered down to the lake, wanting company and yet not wishing to look for it. Ban'ma and Mau were out as were the cubs and Achal so it was really just her at the den and the silence was hunting her. Shaking off her odd feelings Tsu waded into the water just enough to get her paws wet and stood staring off over the rippling waters thinking about how her family had grown and changed and how she herself changed once she learned the truth over the disappearance of her own mother.

Ruqayqa had been excited since waking up. She had asked her daddy if she could go to the lake if he watch over her and she had been given the okay. She wouldn't be wandering far, just to the water. At first her steps were hesitant, the cub feeling sort of weird not having someone walking along side her, but she was walking relatively close to normal by the time she was approaching the water.
Pausing briefly, Ru glanced back towards the den and around to see if anyone was coming to fuss at her for not having a chaperone right there with her. She didn't like getting yelled at, or yelling, period. Seeing that no one was on their way to chew her out and send her back to her family's den, Ruqayqa straightened herself and sort of trotted the rest of the way. Smiling brightly at her own little achievement, the cub crouched at the edge, lowering her head to have a bit of a drink. She paused. Oh! She wasn't alone. There was a mostly blue female standing in the water with quite an introspective look on her face. Ru thought she might have seen her going to and fro on occasion. Hm. Would it be best if she left her to her thinking or should she introduce herself? After a moment of quiet debate, her mind had been made up.
The cub cleared her throat softly and smiled. "Hello there. Is the water nice?"

"Hum?" Tsubame was drawn out of her thoughts by a young voice. Turning she saw a young brown banu. "The water? Yes its quite nice." The blue lioness smiled down at the young cub. She was quite cute and very polite it seemed, then again it was always a good thing to learn early on. "Did you come down for a drink or just to play little one?" Tsu gave a quick look around but did not see a adult around and worried a bit that this young cub wandered away from her den, although it was not likely that any harm would come to her this deep into the pride's lands. "My name is Beybanu Tusbame by the way." She smiled softly and took the few steps out of the water so she was once again standing on dry land.

Ruqayqa nodded at the answer she was given. She looked over the calm, glassy surface of the water, rather enjoying the play of the light across it. "I thought it might be." She chimed with a little smile before looking up to the blue lioness. Ru gave a little laugh. "Maybe a little bit of both, but I don't want to be gone too long. I don't want to get fussed at for not having a chaperone right here with me. I did ask my Papa if I could come over here so long as he watched from the den. I got the okay, so I am being watched over..." She let herself trail off a little before perking up again. "It's very nice to meet you, Beybanu Tsubame. I'm Banu Ruqayqa. If I may ask, why were you in the water? Did I interrupt a swim?" Ru dipped a paw in the water before lifting it and shaking the water off.

Tsubame smiled down at the little cub, she was quite charming. "If you get in trouble about not having an adult around you can always say that you did, after all the last time I checked I was an adult." She laughed trying to get the young cub to relax a bit, and wondered a bit as to who her father was and if Tsu herself was overstepping her bounds. "Its nice to meet you too Banu Ruqayqa, you may call me Tsu if you would like after all my name with the formality too it is such a mouthful." Tsu smiled again and answered Ruqayqa's second comment. "Its quite alright asking me questions. I was just letting the water tickle my toes, I didn't really have the urge to go swimming." She mimicked Ruqayqa's motion but rather then shaking off the water Tsu watched as the water droplets fell back into the water creating ripples as the crashed back into the lake's surface.

"Hm." She began with a bright smile. "I suppose that is true." She gave a little laugh of her own when Tsu laughed, already her posture noticeably relaxing. Ruqayqa blinked and nodded. "Alright. I shall. If you like, you can call me Ru. Most tend to do so." The fact that their nicknames rhymed pleased the youngster greatly. She curled her tail about her paws and watched as Tsu mimicked her own actions. "That sounds like fun, letting the water tickle your toes, I mean. I think swimming is okay, but I haven't done it yet. I want to get a little bigger before trying on my own. Although, I suppose, a teacher would be easier than me trying to teach myself. Who taught you, Tsu?"

Tsu smiled, "Alright Ru, so what shall we do?" She laughed at her own little rhyme and tried to come up with more but couldn't think of anything better then 'to' which just wouldn't work. "I find I'm a poet and I really didn't know it. But it just doesn't fit so I guess I should quit." The adult giggled like a little cub at her own silliness. "Rhyming is all fun but I really am quite done."
She laughed and with a shake of her head focused back on what Ru asked about swimming. "Sorry about that, it seems once one beings it is quite hard stop. Now about swimming, yes its always best to have a teacher when learning after all many things can go wrong. I was luck enough that one of the rare times I had and adult around I was taught to swim." That memory was from so long ago Tsu had almost forgotten it.

The cub laughed delightedly at all of the rhyming. "You're wonderful at rhyming, but you are right. It's all in the timing." She wiggled at her own little attempt, beaming up to the blue lioness. Ru shook her head and sighed as her laughter was worked out of her system. "We should stop."
"No, no. It's okay. No need to apologize. It couldn't have been helped." As the conversation shifted back to swimming, she dipped into a crouch and gazed out over the glimmering water. I thought as much. I wouldn't want to do anything reckless that could get me hurt or worry my family." She nodded. "That is lucky. I'll just have to see how things work out for me. I do want to learn, but I won't be impatient." Ru shifted her gaze to Tsu. "Do you like playing in the water? I've seen some of the bigger cubs and even some of the adults playing in it. They seem to enjoy it."

Tsubame smiled at Ru. "Don't worry about it I'm sure if you ask you can find an adult to teach you after all it is something you should know. You could always ask your father." Tsu wondered briefly about Ru's father but since she couldnt tell by just the cubs markings she shruged it off. More and more rouges are joining the pride so its not surprising I don't know that many, she thought. "Play in the water? Well I enjoy it for the most part but I can't say as I play in it." Tsu tried to think of a time when she had actually played in water and could not. Most of her memories of water were her lounging by it or in it, alone always alone at least until she came here to the pride with Achal. Now she lounged by the lake or in it and there were normally others near by even if she couldn't see them. "I guess I just never felt the urge to play in water, just to enjoy it." Tsu smiled sadly as she looked out over the calm water.

Ru angled her head as she thoughtfully considered Tsu's suggestion. He wouldn't be too busy hopefully, because she was fairly certain that nothing in the slightest could go wrong if her papa was there teaching her. She smiled. "I'll have to ask him when I get back." The cub looked up to the blue lioness, her brow furrowing slightly at noting the faint sad smile that the other wore. She gave a reflective hum before a light filled her eyes as an idea occurred to her. "Oh! Oh, what if, after my papa teaches me to swim, maybe you and I can come out here to play in the water? It won't have to be for long or anything, to see if you'd like it just for fun. It could be nice, huh?" Her expression was hopeful and happy at the idea. She shifted excitedly where she sat. The idea of playing with her new friend, even if she was an adult, seemed like a nice one, even if it wasn't exactly the most practical. After all, Tsu was a beybanu. She may be busy hunting or taking care of her Pad and his other banu, or cubs even. "Could we make time for it sometime, Tsu?"

Tsu wondered again who Ru's father was. It seemed like Ru adored her father much like her own cubs adore their father. "Ru who is your father if you dont mind me asking?" She really hasn't quite learned the art of subtly but that didnt really seem to matter since she never really said or asked anything offensive.
"I would love that Ru. When you can swim I will play with you from sunrise to sunset. Most of my cubs are a bit old to play with me so I would really enjoy it." Tsu smiled thinking of the times when she watched her own cubs play in this water, she felt a slight twinge of sadness. They really were almost grown up the only good thing was she still had Maua's and Ban'ma's cubs to play with. Tsu looked down at her little friend. "We can make time for it Ru. We will."

She blinked up at Tsu. "My father? Why, my poppa is Pad Nywele," The cub answered with a bright smile. "Why would I mind you asking? We're friends so we should be able to tell each other things." Ru nodded honestly, cementing her statement.
The little brown cub practically bounced in place at Tsu's answer. "Yay! I'll ask my poppa if he'll teach me right away. I hope he can. I don't know if Momma would be up for it..." She sighed softly before perking back up for the blue lioness. "I'm glad, Tsu. We'll have the best time together. I know we will." Yeah, she looked forward to having an easy afternoon, playing in the water with her grown up friend. It made her feel kind of special. Sure, most cubs had friends around their own ages, but Tsu was a beybanu. That was certainly something!
"Hm. Tsu, do you think I could visit you sometime. I want to meet your family too."

"Pad Nywele?" Tsu was surprised although she really shouldn't have been after all he was a good Pad and it was only a matter of time until he had cubs. "I've met your father before with my son when he was your age. And it was more of a figure of speech dear, it was polite to ask." She remembered that day and wished she had more of them. Just her cubs and herself exploring the pride's lands and those that lived in it.
Tsu smiled down at the bouncy cub, apparently her plan was a hit. "Well thats great but why would Momma not be up for it? If she doesn't know how to swim then your Poppa can teach her as well." She laughed softly at how fast her little friend went from bouncy to worried to back to bouncy, ahh to be a care free cub again. "That we will. I am sure of it Ru. I can't wait." Talking to this cub, becoming friends with this cub, was stirring urges within Tsubame that she didn't really understand, wishes that her own cubs were that age again.
"You are welcome anytime Ru. I know my family would love to meet you as well."

Ruqayqa nodded, her expression approaching something close to delight. "Yep, that's my poppa." When Tsu continued, the little cub listened intently, making an 'Oh, I see' sort of expression when the elder lioness finished. "I'll have to remember to use it in the future then. Was my poppa much different when your son was my age?"
Her cheeriness seemed to diminish a little at the question posed of her. She offered something of an odd little smile and spoke simply. "I look a lot like Poppa, but she still loves us." The 'us' being her siblings and herself, namely those that took more after their father. "And I don't know if she swims. I've never seen her...But, I'll be sure to ask Poppa to teach me soon so we can play together! Oh, it'll be the best, Tsu! I just know it!" And her perkiness seemed to have come back. The talk of prospective play dates with her new friend seemed to be quite effective in keeping her from falling from her bright mood for too long.
"I'd really like that. I'll have to ask Poppa if I can visit soon. I want to meet everyone!" Ru gave a light laugh. "Do you have lots of family in your den? Would I get a chance to meet your kids or are they off on their own," She paused before blinking up to the blue lioness with a smile. "If you don't mind me asking?"

Tsubame smiled, "Not that I am aware of Ru then again I haven't talked to him since then. I've only seen him in the distance." Life moved on so quickly and it was surprising how fast time seemed to pass.
Tsu didn't understand why it would matter if Ru looked like her father or not, why it would affect how much her mother loves her but since it obviously affected the cheerful cub she didn't press the young cub. "I can't wait." She smiled down at Ru. She really couldn't wait to play with Ru in the water.
Laughing Tsu did her best to answer each question in turn. "I'm sure you will. Yes I have a very large family. Well most of my cubs are either on there banu quest or are with their own pads but my sister's cubs are still around and just about your age as well. And no I dont mind you asking."
