You can honestly play SH 2 and not get confused
bc it's not about Alessa- just about a dude looking for his wife
SH2 is probably the scariest, other than SH3
But dont play SH3 until youve played SH1
bc you play Alessa/Cheryl in SH3 and it follows up from SH1 High Prophet Of Regret Ah well, looking to get em either from play n trade in town here.. or online...

Silent Hill 2 would have to be my favorite. It was so scary and such a mindf*ck. Not to mention James is really the only main character that kinda deserves to be in Silent Hill. I still love him though. Lastly but definitely not least! It was Pyramid Head's debut! The REAL PH! Not all these lame imitators from the later games. Anywho, that's my reasoning behind my choice. (well a summary of it anyway...)

Silent Hill 2 for sure. I think my favorite part was wandering around lost the first time I played it, made the game hella creepy being stuck wandering around the town.
Although I must say, the "STUDY, DAMMIT" poster in SH1 makes my day every time I see it. xd
