It had been a few days since he had grown up and Anoki finally decided it was time to get to know this school he had heard so much about. The young Mew had yet to go inside the building, having avoided it almost instinctively from the get go. It didn't help that the only time he was ever in a building he had witnessed Kazuya hurt Caellum and chuck him out a window. Even now, as he glanced at one of the Arcana buildings he shuddered just a little, wondering if Kazuya would be in there hurting people. Although Anoki was certain that hurting others wasn't all Kazuya did, it was so far the only actions that had been witnessed by him and so it made him very leery around the Persian. But as it is with all optimists, he remained sure that eventually the gijinka would turn his ways around and would be friendlier in the future. If only Anoki knew how to make that happen.
As Anoki stood in front of the building a small glower formed on his slender face. Now that he was there and had decided to attend class, he really didn't want to. The Mew wanted very much to float around outside, disregarding whatever happened within the complex because he didn't really think it concerned him very much. Slowly Anoki straightened out his clothing, making sure everything was just so before he opened the door and peeked inside as his tail flicked out of curiosity and anxiety. No one seemed to be around, and that put the friendly pokemon off just a little. Where as everyone? Shouldn't there be...people inside a school?
Mew did not realize that in schools or dorms people go to rooms to learn, and so he floated back away from the door more than a little confused. What was the point of the building if there was no one there? As he glanced up toward the windows, he vaguely wondered if perhaps there were people higher up. It made sense, after all, since he had seen Kazuya, Deimos and Caellum in a room up higher before. But which window to pick? There were so many! The young pokemon floated around, his ears perked as he listened for sounds of life within the building and a point of entry that would get him to quickly meet new people. Or that could at least point him in the right direction of where to go, since he hadn't really bothered to look at any class schedule there might have been for him.

To say that Aizen was pleased to wake up early in order to get ready to head to class of all godforsaken things would be one terrible lie. The Unown would rather wake up late and stay in bed, ever some comfortable in the warmth and maybe have Ray fetch him coffee and his books if he was around, but no, there was a multitude of damn rules preventing him from doing as much. To top it off he just failed to understand why those good for nothing teachers couldn't settle with letting him study on his own time like he wanted. On the other hand he could practice his favourite sport while on class and his classmates never failed to amuse him seeing how they were all such interesting individuals.
Thoughts aside, the alarm clock that had already rang a pair of times was still looking over at him from over his nightstand, ticking away the minutes passing. He really had to get moving. Forcing himself up and out of bed he only allowed himself a small groan of protest as he stumbled over to get dressed. It quickly became apparent by the neatly folded garments and the lingering smell of freshly brewed coffee that his trainer had visited earlier while he was still sleeping. He had even left him a note behind telling him to be careful and not cause trouble for everyone. Ray was ever so considerate... although Aizen couldn't quite promise he would cause trouble for none. Stirring up turmoil was certainly a rather entertaining hobby.
Slipping inside his outfit and being too late to have any coffee he made his way to the door and closing it behind him he marched on down the hallway. No one was in sight, a most relieving fact seeing how he wasn't quite awake yet and not in the mood for idle talk. No one? He blinked slowly having just witnessed something incredibly pink pass him by from beyond the glass panes. He stopped in his tracks and peered outside trying to determine whether it truly was there for that fleeting moment or his eyes were just playing tricks on him. Moving closer to the window he assured himself that he hadn't lost his mind seeing how the thing truly was there and it appeared to be just yet another student pokemon. One he hadn't seen before.
"Whatever..." he sighed having lost all interest now that he knew what it was. Even so, he didn't feel like going to class just yet and lingering there for just a little longer was rather tempting.

Although Anoki was avidly searching for people did not see the Unown, he had heard the sigh and his ears immediately swiveled towards the noise as he paused in his floating. It took the Mew a few seconds to decide if it was an at all familiar sound before he slowly turned himself around and tilted his head quizzically in the direction he'd heard it from. Carefully he floated in the appropriate direction, his tail swishing in the air behind him even as a light breeze lifted the material at his back and his hair so that they drifted behind him. Sure that no one could see him just yet as he didn't see anyone he giggled at the thought of how silly he must look with such long and flowing clothes when he floated.
As he glided through the air he stared into the windows looking carefully for the person who must have sighed. They had to be close, he knew if he was able to hear it, so he moved slowly and with his hands shielding his eyes from the early morning sun. The sight of his reflection in the pane of glass was enough to make him giggle again before he finally located the window with the person. With his face close to the window he grinned and waved at the boy, shouting through the glass in greeting not caring how bizarre he might have looked. Besides, if he was in class and not hurting anyone then surely he couldn't be bad!
"Hello! I'm Anoki!" The young Mew raised a slender hand and pressed it against the glass, not really sure how to get into the classroom through it without breaking it - or without the other pokemon opening it for him. With a wide grin he quickly added, "Can you open the window so I can come in?"

When he realized that the vividly pink pokemon was heading back in his direction, Aizen felt the impulsive need to withdraw from the window and head off in some random direction; but he didn't. He didn't run, mainly because he was bored and still felt sluggish and secondly because he thought the other looked so much like a child. Children were so much fun to play with, so pure and innocent and gullible... maybe he'd just make another toy out of his morning after all. And there was also this faint feeling, like he could relate with the other pokemon at a rather basic, primeval level. Maybe the other's origins were just as ancient as his? It would be interesting if it were so.
Yet, his interest quickly turned to a sour feeling of irritation as the boy just beamed friendly over at him asking him to let him in. He caught himself thinking of declining by simply saying 'no', but for another time he didn't act like his urges commanded him to. As much as he'd love to study the expressions of defeat and letdown on the cute boy's face he knew better than to allow impulse to control him. It was most often far more lucrative to wait and time everything right. "Sure..." he said, flashing the other a smile of his own. Yet, it was a different smile, more closely related to a deceitful smirk rather than a happy smile, even though his expression was as lighthearted as it could be. No one could guess his true thoughts, no one but himself.
"Anoki, hmm~?" he chuckled, sliding the window's pane open with one hand. "I'm Aizen." he introduced himself extending his one free hand in the other's direction in an offer to help him in.

Anoki did not notice the deceit hidden behind the smile he was flashed from Aizen, instead he returned the smile quite happily with a friendly one of his own. The Mew drew his hand back as the other moved to open it, floating himself into a sitting position and carefully pulling the long, flowing material of his outfit up so that it would not snag on the sill as he floated over it. With another flash of a smile and a short giggle of his own as a hand was offered to help him in, he floated himself into the room careful to avoid bumping in to Aizen or anything else. Once within the room he resumed a standing position, still floating a couple of inches off the ground and turned to face who he hoped would be his new friend. Flashing his typical grin, he added, "Nice to meet you, Aizen!"
Not accustomed to the idea of a classrom, the young Mew found himself distracted as he looked around the room, doing a full circle in place as his tail twitched in amusement. So this was what the classroom looked like. Somehow, it seemed smaller than the one he had seen his friend Caellum thrown out of. Perhaps that was just because he was bigger, now, then he had been then. Vaguely Anoki found himself wondering if Kazuya was anywhere around, before his eyes fell back on Aizen. Turning a very light shade of pink in embarrassment he gave a musical laugh, "How are you?"
The Mew was not a shy fellow and felt very comfortable around new people, though perhaps he should not always be. It was a lesson he had yet to learn, though and until he did he was perfectly content to be the friend of everyone he came across until they threw him out. Although, even if they tried, he would give them flowers to make things better. Because after all, flowers always made things better.

Once Anoki had finally managed to glide through the window, ever so graciously like a princess, Aizen tried to study him just a little better. If he didn't know any better he could have easily confused Anoki's gender to be female, what with his acting all cute and innocent and bubbly and those impractical long pink garments? Speaking of the latter; the reason that would make anyone go through all the trouble of even getting dressed that way was completely beyond him, not to mention having to move around in it. And there was the floating... such a blatant demonstration that was. While it was within his own strength to hover as well he never chose to make a display of it; why gather so much attention when you could go by unnoticed?
Then again he had to remind himself that he had more closely related Anoki to a child rather than a grown up ever since he as much as got a glimpse of him. Maybe it wasn't so strange a behaviour for a man-child.
He gave no reply to the Pokemon's kind reply of it being nice meeting him. Instead he sneered, placing both arms on his hips, bending over as if to inspect him from up close. While he could have done this without the blatant violation of the other's personal space, he just felt like it. On closer inspection Anoki... was pink, sure enough, but it quickly became apparent that he was oblivious to the other's true nature. The small cat-like ears and the long, thin tail combined with the bright coloration vaguely reminded him of something but at the same time he just couldn't place his finger on it. But on the same time he shouldn't worry; all he really had to do was ask him when the time would be right to ask personal questions such as that.
And then came an all-predictable question, an almost overused ice-breaker. 'How was he', truly? "Nnnn..." Aizen found himself grumbling unintentionally. He felt almost as if he was still half-asleep, but at the same time he felt tired, lacking all strength to do any physical activity even though he kept pushing himself around to go to class, he didn't feel like straining himself mentally to sit through the lessons, he was craving sugar, he was irritated at Anoki's spontaneously friendly attitude- "I'm... fine, yes." he replied, his sneer from before turning into a more friendly expression as he pulled himself back to straighten his posture. "But that begs the question, how about you? It is rare to find someone as late for class as I." he went on, trying to move the subject of the conversation away from his current foul mood to avoid slipping up and giving himself away. "Were you skipping out or are you just late?" he paused, thinking of more questions to string up with the previous ones to aid him as he fished for more information. "Speaking of which... I haven't seen you around before. Are you a new student?" not that he was one to talk about being a newcomer, of course.

It caught Anoki a little off guard when Aizen had invaded his personal space - not so much because the man had leaned forward to peer at him, that was something Anoki didn't mind since he didn't really see anyone as having a personal bubble up unless it was his literal bubble that he could create. Instead it was the sneer on the other's face that confused him. It was an expression he hadn't ever seen before and the closest he could come to relating it to someone or something was Kazuya or when Deimos had been upset. The fact that Anoki thought of Kazuya while he was being inspected should have made him more suspicious of the other gijinka but instead, he mentally waved the thought away and put on his friendliest smile. At least this way the new Pokemon he had found wouldn't think he was unpleasant or unhappy. Maybe that would help cheer him up, some.
Of course, once Aizen grumbled and pulled back, his own curiosity took over and he peered closely at the other, clearly violating Aizen's own personal bubble as he did so. The young Mew's tail twitched a little in amusement and interest as the other spoke, and he vaguely recalled he still had the candy from Rai tucked away in garments. A thought that popped into his mind when his mind wandered to Hector and how Caellum was always so abrupt with people, but Hector always offered lollipops in what seemed a peace-offering. This thought quickly distracted the Mew as he tried to divide his attention between listening to Aizen and fishing around in his clothes for a bag of candy. Maybe that would clear up the sneer and grumbling!
As the questions turned to him, Anoki's face lit up as he located the bag of candy and deftly tugged it out and held it up with a quiet, "Aha!" With a grin that showed both amusement at his own childish behavior and was impish in its appearance he laughed while pulling the string off that tied the bag together, "I don't really go to class. I don't much see the point..." Quickly the Mew's thoughts turned to how naive he was and he added with a shrug that admitted he knew of his faults, "But I probably should. Especially sociology class."
Tilting his head slightly, Anoki held out the bag of candy with a raise of his eyebrow as if to inquire if Aizen would like some as he mulled over if he was a new student or not. Since he hadn't ever been to a class he supposed he qualified as one and he had only grown old enough to even attend them recently. So that must make him 'new', even if he had been around and talking to the older students before anyway. With a thoughtful nod he voiced that thought out loud and turned it back to the inquirer. "Yes, I suppose I am new!" His brilliant eyes flashed brightly as he leaned forward a little and added "How about you?"

To say the truth Anoki managed in his own strange manner to somehow unnerve Aizen a little. His constant happy attitude, and even worse, his smile made leeching for information on the other's emotional state much more difficult than he had anticipated it would be. And he couldn't possibly conceive a way that the other could be just as sneaky as he was. He looked far too pure and innocent to. Then again he recalled of the saying not to judge a book by it's cover. But where he to allow such thoughts he'd be running in circles coming to no conclusive end. And to top it off, having just shrugged off his confusion, he was overwhelmed by a second spell -of displeasure this time as the other did just as he just had, leaning dangerously close to study him in return. He quickly brought his hands up to fiddle with the pendant hanging from his neck to keep his hands busy in a desperate struggle not to push the other back and come off as incredibly rude, if not scary; and one should never scare off possible sources of amusement.
He quickly became distracted, halfway interested in what Anoki seemed to be doing, rummaging through his clothes for something. He felt satisfied with being right about those tons of cloth being impractical like that, but said nothing of the sort to the other. What he was more interested in was what the other could possibly be looking for all of a sudden. "To tell you the truth, you're doing the best one can." he chuckled after hearing the other's reply. Okay, so maybe he approved of the little guy. If nothing, he appeared to resent class just as much as he did. That was a slight sign of a rebellious nature, and as long as he wasn't the one on the receiving end of it he was just fine with others expressing it. They made perfect gullible pawns if they didn't have another use already. "I... resent having to go." he went on, his smile not fading at the slightest. "I'd much more prefer to sleep." his expression dimmed at those words and he scowled, turning his head to the side to face away from Anoki and out of the window. He wanted out, if such a thing was possible. And he had thoughts of escaping may a time up to now, but every time he'd try he'd be caught sooner or later. Just how many Unown-turned-humans were out there besides himself anyway? None, of course.
"So, you're interested in sociology?" he made his dynamic comeback, turning to face Anoki with a smile on his face for another time. And what was that? Maybe there was just a tiny piece of that smile that begged to be true. No, it wasn't because he thought of the other any better than in the past ten minutes; it was just that he found it interesting how such a little thing could be interested in this field he liked to call his own. And he wanted to analyze why. Were he to be true to himself he had to admit that Anoki was at least interesting enough a subject to study in depth. He was getting the feeling he would see him more from now on, so he might as well try to be friendlier. "I guess that makes two of us, then." he beamed. "Humans... are such interesting creatures... don't you think?"
And then Anoki just had to go and deal a finishing blow by offering candy; and when he most needed some sugar too... Just, what was he anyway? Godsend? Thank Arceus and all that. He accepted the offering gladly, making a small nod of the head to show his approval of the other's actions. And it just turned out that the other was new as well. It was a relief to know he hadn't just completely missed spotting someone who was there before him. That, and it also made him feel more 'at home' with the course of action he would take. He just had to settle this down as a necessity. Once he had established himself as 'important' for the other he'd be as far as he'd like to go for a first step. "I have no right to call myself anything but new as well." he admitted, lowering his eyes as he thoughtfully placed the candy in his mouth. "As I already told you, I've been regularly skipping class, even though I had been around for a while now. I guess I'm not what you'd call a model student unless the subject interests me enough." he tapped a finger against his lips thoughtfully and shrugged. "Maybe we should skip class after all." he proposed.

Anoki was perhaps too naive and uneducated to notice that Aizen was at all unnerved by his proximity. His bright eyes flicked over the necklace he had noticed the man playing with only briefly, not really taking note of what it was or what it might stand for before they returned to the other's face. A small smile touched his face as he bobbed his head in a pleasant affirmative as Aizen chuckled. Maybe he wasn't such a bad guy after all, at least he could laugh. That thought put Anoki even more at ease as he held the bag of candy and raised his legs so that he was sitting cross-legged in mid-air. The posture did him well as he could rest his elbows on both knees, making balancing the bag of candy in one hand while the other searched through it that much easier.
His lips twitched to one side as he rifled through the bag, a pleased grin touching his face for a second before he curiously tilted his head, not really sure why someone would prefer sleeping to things. As Anoki attempted to unwrap the candy with one hand, he glanced around the room and noticed no one else had arrived for class yet. Perhaps Aizen was on to something. At least sleeping would be less boring than sitting in an empty room - though floating through the forest would be better than either of those two options. Unable to resist the question as it flew into his mind and out his mouth, he raised an eyebrow, "Why would you prefer to sleep?"
Another pleased look appeared on his face before quickly disappearing as he successfully unwrapped the piece of candy with the one hand and popped into his mouth and waved the now free hand about the room, "And why come if you resent it so?" As far as the Mew was concerned, if he didn't want to go to class - he wouldn't. It seemed like it should be as simple as that, shouldn't it?
The fact another smile had returned to Aizen's face made Anoki happy, even if he wasn't the cause. He nodded slightly, though all he really knew about sociology was what he had learned from Caellum. Anoki wasn't entirely sure this was a topic he should broach with someone who had likely attended more classes than he, since he knew his definition probably wasn't the most accurate one. If anything, it was Anoki-fied. Though Aizen's own seeming enthusiasm for the study intrigued him and he flashed a wide smile of his own back, "Yes, I like sociology. Though, I think everyone is interesting, not just humans. Don't you?"
Certainly much of Anoki's time was spent floating around in the forest, so he enjoyed observing the animals just as much as he did the other gijinkas and humans. And so the question was innocent enough, even if his own intentions with observing people and animals were more to learn more about them and to make friends more than anything else. At the nod of approval he grinned before digging for another piece of his own. He made sure to hold the bag at such an angle that if Aizen wanted, he could grab another piece with ease. After all, the bag was large enough and he had a whole other one tucked away too, so sharing wasn't something he minded in the least.
As Aizen spoke an almost sheepish grin appeared on Anoki's face. The two were very similar so far, he thought, though the other was definitely less nice than he was. But Anoki figured with time Aizen might learn to be really nice and friendly. His charms had worked on Caellum and somewhat on Deimos after all, so it couldn't be so hard to be friendly to someone similar. Besides, Anoki wasn't exactly a model student either and he knew it well, though he figured the Squirtle he knew best would likely berate him for that fact if he were to find out.
Not a fan of being stuck indoors, Anoki quickly bounced out of his sitting position when Aizen suggested they should skip class. His tail twitched in excitement as he pointed towards the window, "That sounds like a very good idea! Should we go out that way or....?" Since Anoki hadn't seen the new person float yet, he wasn't sure if he minded hopping out of a window. Especially since the Mew had yet to meet anyone who just randomly floated in and out of windows like he did.
Suddenly curious, he turned back to Aizen and scratched his head, "And where should we go? I usually just go to the waterfalls...."
That was another thing Anoki wasn't sure if others shared. His love of nature. Being a person that loved to please others, he let his sentences fall so that Aizen could voice his own opinion on where they should go and do, so that he didn't seem like a domineering person. Especially since he was anything but.

Aizen quietly observed Anoki sit in mid-air and heaved a mental sigh he didn't let out. Maybe he was just particularly weak that morning or maybe he got sick and it was taking its toll on him, he didn't know, but he didn't feel like loathing the other's company anymore, which was rather surprising. Or maybe it wasn't his fault but his trainer's; Ray's cheerful disposition rubbing off on him. He should remember to keep a safe distance from him for a while if that was the case, not really willing to risk his personality's softening.
As for Anoki's question... to say he didn't have expected it to arise eventually after he had so easily slipped up moments ago would be a mistake. Any normal person would at least notice the strangeness of his statement and like most children, Anoki would of course ask for more information with all the naivete that drove him to explore the world and know new things. But, to speak or not speak the truth in return was another story. Were he to lie, he would be under the risk of his story being either too obvious or too strange but were he to say the truth it would mean he'd be allowing somebody else one inch closer to his reclusive inner self and as far as he was aware of he'd never allow anyone to as much as sneak a peek in there. Why, the image he projected was all they'd ever need after all. People form impressions about others based on the persona each of them projects and the principles by which they judge what is acceptable and good and what isn't. "Why, don't you think dreams are wonderful things~?" he smiled in the end. Half the truth wasn't a full-fledged lie, now, was it? "Surely, you've had dreams you didn't want to wake up from, right?" he went on, expression unchanging as he uneasily fiddled with his necklace once again. "You can go anywhere, be anything you want, do absolutely anything without someone holding you back telling you what to do and what not to do, you know?" why was he talking so much, yet again?
The next question was much less difficult to answer, however, which helped to ease the strain he was placing himself under until then. He had no reason to hide why he didn't like going to class. He figured that there really wasn't one soul that didn't know at least some of it. "Let's just say... I made some sort of promise." he started as his fake smile from before widened into a forced grin that was obviously there to contain all of his negative feelings and keep them from being expressed. "But even though I have to come, I dislike a number of things about this whole affair. First of all I'm tired of being treated like an idiot. I've studied more than they teach on my own time and yet they insist on me attending those clearly mediocre lessons." he shrugged, his expression softening a little, as he realized he might scare Anoki if he kept this up for long. "And of course, I don't like associating with people I didn't choose to associate with myself. It's always nice until someone decides to bother you for no reason at all.". Aizen paused yet again, biting his bottom lip thoughtfully. "Don't get me wrong." he chuckled "I don't expect other people to understand where I come from. I've been... alone for most of my life, so things others consider normal are anything but that to me." finishing he took a moment to wonder if his words would estrange the other Pokemon in a way. Oh well, it was the one thing he was completely honest about. They should try to at least accept this part of him as it was.
By that statement alone, Aizen decided that he was going to be keeping his eye on Anoki for that matter. To think everyone was interesting... was he including beasts and plantlife and even- "If you consider our sort to be different from humans then, yes. I believe we're a far more interesting kind than humans to watch, if nothing because one can also observe how the primary nature of one being overlaps with its newfound human qualities. he placed both hands in his pockets and turned to face the window. "I'm not sure I share the same interest for Pokemon or other lifeforms, however. Their social behaviour is mostly structured on an instinctual base, so there is little to perceive besides what is directly expressed." he brought himself to a halt, turning to Anoki to see if he could follow with what he was saying. Sometimes, if he was letting himself speak people stopped understanding what it was all about after a little while. Seeing him smiling like that was surely reassuring, however; not of the fact the other could understand him, but more of the one he could get used to this. It would be okay, if nothing for a short while.
And were he ever so glad that the other agreed to skipping out with him. Now he had good enough an excuse to -literally- jump out of the window and go make himself satisfied somewhere else and he would surely grasp it right away, no reason to delay such a joyous event, after all; not to mention Anoki looked just as eager. "We can use window, sure enough." he nodded, sliding the panels open for another time. The fact both of them were capable of levitating was a relief. They wouldn't have to walk the halls, they wouldn't have to accidentally bump on people, and there certainly was no fear of them getting dragged back to class for no reason.
As for where they could go... Aizen would have certainly preferred a trip to the nearest gathering point for people so he could simply stand aside and watch them, but since his trainer had been around in the morning he was undergoing the risk of suddenly coming face to face with him and he knew quite well that he wasn't going to ever hear the end of it if Ray caught him out of class. After all he was the one who made him promise he would go. The reason why Aizen agreed to it was a mystery.
"The waterfalls...?" he finally asked, retrieving himself from his thoughts to pay attention to what Anoki was saying. He had been in this school all this time and he never really got in the trouble of going as far as the falls. "What do you do at the waterfalls?" he wouldn't really mind grasping the opportunity to go if Anoki didn't mind returning to that place for yet another time.

The young Mew did not mind being observed, in fact, he hardly paid any mind to it at all figuring Aizen must be curious like he is to enjoy sociology at all. Instead, his tail flicked idly back and forth as his mind wandered to a variety of things. Often at the top of the pile of thoughts were Deimos and Caellum, and his curiosity at who else he might find within the halls of the school if he were to attend more often. His thoughts also often flitted to Aizen and why he had been standing, staring out a window - and why he hadn't come across him before. But as Aizen spoke once more he turned his attention to the man fully, not wanting to miss a word that was said for fear of missing some key detail or other that might better explain just who this gijinka was.
Slowly Anoki tilted his head and caught himself before he started to nod along as he listened to what Aizen said. Dreams could be wonderful, sure, unless they were nightmares in which case they were horrible things. So far, though, the seemingly carefree Mew had had few dreams of either the too incredible to wake up from or the too horrible to stay asleep variety. Instead, his dreams seemed to be more his mind trying to work out what had happened during his day to day life. Such as when he had seen his good friend get tossed out a window after being struck repeatedly by Kazuya. Or his confusion at Deimos' behavior towards him - or even Hector and the lollipops and his sparse interactions with the kind Rai. For reasons unknown to him, he went over these at night, as if to see if he could figure out why things had gone the way they had, and to better the experience the next time he saw the person. And so the Mew shook his head slightly, his eyes showing his confusion clearly at the last of it. Anoki had had no one to tell him what to do or not to do and so he floated in and out of people's lives freely. Or had up to this point, it was a way of life he hoped to continue, because he enjoyed being so free about things. With a very small smile he held his arms out wide and shrugged, "I've never had anyone to tell me what to do, really, so I haven't had those kinds of dreams or that kind of yearning..." Though there was just a hint of sadness in his voice that reflected the fact he almost wished he had someone there to help guide him at least it was quickly erased as he smiled a bit brighter, reflecting on the fact that he could transform into anyone and though he was tempted to add that to the conversation, something warned him against saying anything about it and so he didn't.
Anoki didn't mind that Aizen was doing so much talking, in fact, he rather enjoyed it. As far as he could remember, this was probably the most in depth conversation he'd ever had. That made him happy, and so he listened intently as Aizen continued to speak. His head tilted slightly as the man's smile became a grin and he couldn't help but wonder how Aizen really felt, to have such a plastic grin on his face. Somehow he felt bad for the other Pokemon, though, to have to sit through lessons that bored him didn't sound very pleasant at all. Although Anoki doubted the lessons would bore him as they would be very new and interesting to him, he was bothered that the people in charge of the classes wouldn't let Aizen excel. Or at least challenge him somewhat. Wasn't that what teachers were supposed to do?
His compassionate nature made him reach out a hand as if he meant to pat Aizen on the shoulder before he pulled it back, not wanting to touch the man without having gained permission first. Anoki's large blue eyes narrowed just a little at his consternation on Aizen's behalf as he said, simply, "I'm sorry the teachers won't challenge you and your learning, it is kind of silly that they won't. You would think they would want to challenge those that need it so they might excel and go beyond what initially thought possible for them." Anoki would be the first to admit he didn't know the real story behind Aizen's dislike of classes, and that he wasn't even completely sure that Aizen was being honest about the teachers giving him mediocre lessons, but it still upset him just a little that people would let someone who was clearly intelligent squander that away for no reason at all.
Still thoroughly intrigued in what the other gijinka was saying, Anoki idly reached another hand into his candy bag and unwrapped it expertly with one hand before popping it into his mouth. He chewed on it slowly as he nodded along to Aizen's words. Gijinkas were different than humans, at least on some levels, as they were not purely human. "Yes, I think we are different than humans, if only on certain levels because we are genetically different than they are." That was at least one thing Anoki knew for a fact, otherwise they would look exactly like the humans and not like a mix of Pokemon and human. As Aizen turned to look at the window, so too did Anoki, though he remained slightly behind the man and shook his head slightly that Pokemon or other life forms such as animals were any less interesting. Anoki wasn't entirely certain Aizen could see, that, though and so when the other Pokemon turned around he shook his head once more and voiced his opinion, floating just a little closer as he did so. "While animals and pure Pokemon are more instinctual than we are, I think we can still learn much from their behaviors. They have to communicate almost solely through body language and facial expressions," here he paused and gestured towards himself and Aizen, "We however, have the luxury of words to vocalize what we want or need, for the most part."
Thinking back on the birds and other animals in the forest, he idly ran one hand through his long hair as he continued, "For example, when wolves go on the hunt they must communicate with one another what they want to do without the prey knowing they are there or that their intent is to kill. Once the chase is on, the wolves must act as one to down their prey and take food home to their families. The fact they can do that without words and so successfully is incredible to me." His cheeks turned a light pink as his eyes glanced downward and he admitted with only a hint of embarrassment, "Even if the need to hunt and kill to eat is instinctual, the way they pull it off is incredible."
Once more his cheeks turned pink as he realized just how much he was talking, when he had meant to be listening. Though his embarrassment soon turned to unabashed glee when Aizen agreed they could exit out the window. Almost immediately Anoki floated himself toward the window and was ready to float out before he suddenly realized he didn't know if Aizen could also levitate or if he was just going to jump. Glancing at his well hidden arms he surmised he could possibly hold Aizen in his lap if need be, though it was certainly not the first choice he would take. Slightly unsure, he hesitated, "Can you...float too?" He knew the question was a tad late, but he hoped it wouldn't upset the other man.
Anoki was quickly distracted, however, when Aizen asked about the waterfalls. With a wide grin and even wider eyes, he happily explained, "I like to go to the waterfalls and observe the animals, or just sit and think." He leaned in just a little towards Aizen and added with a wink, "And sometimes I go and fall asleep there, because its so pretty and peaceful and when the sun is out its just the most perfect spot to spend time at!" As his excitment threatened to boil over, he suddenly remembered that not everyone liked water and waved his hands in the air as if to toss the idea out the window, "But we don't have to go there if you don't want to! There's lots of water so you might get wet and if the weather turns bad we'll be without cover so you could get really wet and messy..."
Not wanting to rattle on and scare the other gijinka off, he let his words trail off as his eyes lowered a little and glanced toward the ground as he tried to contain his exuberance for his favorite spot. Secretly he hoped that Aizen might enjoy the place, but he wouldn't make the man go there if it wasn't a place he wanted to go to.

For someone like himself, to consider somebody else to be endearing of all things, was a rare occurrence. Yet, there he was deeming Anoki just that. He didn't know what it was just yet, but maybe he could stick along and judge from there. And as much as he'd like to claim he was able to decipher his behaviour he really couldn't. At first he had appeared to be such a spaced-out individual, or so Aizen had perceived, yet he sensed some depth out of the corner of his eye, laying dormant, maybe waiting for its chance to shine. Aizen wished that he, too, could be just a little more carefree at times, yet he found himself lacking the energy to, almost as if his current state of being had drained him completely of the will to fight back at it. Even worse, he didn't want to even consider admitting as much to himself.
The weight of his situation threateningly lingered over him, reaching out to tap him on the shoulder and laugh in his face, ye the Unown wasn't going to sit and listen to it. Instead he returned his attention to the other to listen to what he had to say, as a reply to his previous words. And upon hearing those words he felt a most resentful urge build up inside him. Never had anyone to tell him what to do; this, too, used to be him, once upon a time, yet those wretched humans just had to step in, fulfill their damn curiosity and maybe take him captive along with them. For what? Research? To hell with research. A spark of violence ignited in his head begged to build itself into raging wildfire -not that the boy deserved to witness his anger, no. The frustration was towards his trainer, the one he grew so close to; just like all those little domesticated idiots. How could he ever had allowed himself to fall as low? It was at least preposterous. Why did he allow this to continue? When in the world did he surrender, and why? What had those humans turned him into? He had to stop this the soonest possible and he was going to start by joining Anoki in this crazy expedition. And 'crazy'? Why crazy? Just because others had expected him to stay locked in a box? "Lucky..." he finally said with a rueful smile, realizing it had taken him a bit longer than usual to give his answer. And for a reason he could barely understand himself, he reached out a hand to, probably pat Anoki's head; probably, because as soon as he realized he was going to he pulled back. Funny, wasn't it? Sometimes the person you know the less about is yourself...
He was rather relieved by the fact that Anoki didn't seem overly bored by the focus of their conversation. Surely, it was rather hard to actually find someone with who he could actually talk. Most of the people he knew were either too dumb or downright muscleheads. Where had all the good men go? Seriously now. Yet he felt like laughing when Anoki said he was sorry; which he did, in maybe the most whole-hearted manner he had for a while, even though it was just a contained chuckling laugh he tried to suppress. Trying to regain his composure, yet failing, he muffled some words along his laughter. "Why, Anoki! You don't have to feel bad in accord of lesser beings such as that!" holding his breath in order to calm down he straightened his back and sighed. "Their inability to discriminate between each of their own students' respective needs is their fault and their alone. Nothing we can do about it, hmm?" he paused, flicking a strand of hair out of his face. "Except maybe ignore them just as much."
He nodded in agreement to Anoki's words about the differences between themselves and humans. Why, after all, he might just be one bright fellow as well. First impressions are not always everything there is to someone, he decided. Then maybe it wouldn't hurt so much to ask. Maybe Anoki, having seen more of the outside than he had, clearly so, and having experienced different things, had a different angle on what was on with them; their kind. "On that matter... why do you think those people-" he hesitated. Was it too strange a question? Then again he was certain he didn't give off the air of someone who wasn't strange, if only a little. "Why not leave us be?" he decided to phrase it a little differently than 'why do you think those people experimented on us to turn us into this?' if only, because it rang off, even to his own ears. Having a second opinion would be nice; other than 'humans are just cruel beings like that'. And on the other hand, he was utterly fascinated by the way Anoki thought. His love of nature, and creatures they could hardly communicate with anymore was profound. He couldn't quite understand yet, but he felt as if it was important. Maybe by being around him he might just realize what it was that made Anoki speak so excitedly about it. It made him want not only to hear more but also witness it for himself. "I believe you." he smiled. "Maybe someday you can show me..." the closest he had ever been to a wolf, as a matter of fact, was through the pages of some book about canines he remembered reading.
Aizen nodded at the other's question. It was only normal since he didn't have wings. And he wasn't sure anyone would be quite as suicidal they'd want to jump from that height. "Even though I am under the impression you can levitate under different conditions." he spoke climbing up on the windowsill. "And... hmmm... that place of yours sounds beautiful." he spoke, looking over his shoulder at Anoki floating next to him. "I think I'd love to see it. I've been boxed inside for quite some time..." he raised his shoulders. "Though you might want to lead the way. I'm not quite used to the outside.". Having spoken those words he pushed off the place he was seated and let himself fall. The free fall felt wonderful, he thought to himself, especially since it had been a while ever since he last had an opportunity to dive. He closed his eyes, concentrating, to lift himself in the air; not wanting to risk collision with the ground or any other airborne student he failed noticing, and made his way back to the window.
"All set."

Anoki floated with a concerned look on his face while he waited patiently for Aizen to respond to him. The gijinka seemed to be taking a much longer time than normal to reply, and it worried Anoki that he had maybe said or done something wrong. His worry pulled him closer to the other man as he debated on what he could say or do to try and alleviate whatever problem he had caused. The young Mew wasn't sure just what he had done, but given the sudden quiet and melancholy of his new found friend, he could only assume it was his fault. Before he could speak, however, to inquire as to what was wrong, Aizen finally spoke up in reply. The one word response confused him even more, since he actually had considered Aizen to be lucky that he had a trainer - he assumed they were all good and took proper care of their Pokemon, and it surprised him that someone would dislike that person being there for them. With a very faint blush to his cheeks, Anoki dipped his head just a little and shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know if its lucky to not have a trainer..."
And silently he added to himself "or anyone else to share moments in life with".
A small grin touched his lips, however, when he saw Aizen's hand reach out and then pull back. He had just done that himself, only moments before and it amused him that Aizen would do the same. They seemed to be more similar than he had thought, and that made Anoki very happy. At last, someone who appeared to be on the same page as he! Though he would also love his talks with Caellum, who taught him so much and watched out for him, and Hector who always had a lollipop or two for the Mew to taste. The laughter Aizen gave Anoki made him laugh, too, though he wasn't really sure why they were laughing until the other man started to speak again. To better understand the words that came with the laughter, Anoki leaned forward and swiveled his ears so they were aimed more accurately to listen well. His head tilted to one side at the mention of lesser beings, and one hand reached up to tap his chin in thought.
Were humans lesser beings? He wasn't sure that they were - they had created human bodies for Pokemon after all. But then again, they also couldn't do things like the Pokemon could - such as float or use powers based on the elements. He smiled, even though he wasn't sure he agreed with Aizen because at least he was happy, and that mattered more than the two agreeing on everything. The Mew gave another small laugh and nodded in agreement for there was really nothing they could do, if the humans wouldn't pay attention to the needs of their students. Anoki found himself curious as to whether or not the humans did that to other humans, or just the gijinkas they had created, though he spoke nothing of that thought to Aizen. "Aside from talking to them to try and convince them that they should pay better attention to the needs of their students, there isn't really anything that we could do about it."
Of course, Anoki wasn't even sure yet why the others spent time in the classrooms - he hadn't found a good reason for it yet, and Aizen's words made him doubt the purpose of the school setting all the more. The next few sentences Aizen spoke, however, surprised the Mew and he absentmindedly tucked the candy bag back into his sleeve, patting both down and straightening them as he thought over what had been said. It was a strange question to be asked, and he wondered what Aizen had really been planning on asking. The question seemed like the purpose had been different at first, and he sighed as he pulled his thoughts together into a coherent answer. One he wasn't sure would appease Aizen's curiosity - or his own. "To be honest...I am not sure why they didn't. Maybe..."
Anoki paused, then, not sure where to take his response. Why hadn't the humans left them as Pokemon? The only possibilities that came to mind were ones he was almost completely sure Aizen would find unsuitable. And the memories of Kazuya and Deimos, who both seemed to dislike the humans to some extent and were always angry or hurt still haunted him. Their injuries and anger towards the lab, specifically, lead Anoki to suspect experimentation and evolution were among the primary reasons for the humans to have created the Pokemon and human hybrids. But he didn't know why they would do that, or what could have caused them to decide to give it a try. So instead, he put a hopeful smile on his face and smoothed his face from the worry and thoughts he had been having before he continued, "Maybe they just thought it would be easier to have companions that could speak to them, rather than just making noises?"
As if the thought had inspired him, he continued a little more confident and definitely more rapidly, "Kind of like how...I like to watch the animals because of how they can interact with each other. But if I didn't study how they move and what it means, I wouldn't know what they were trying to tell me when they talk to me because they can't use words. They just make...sounds."
His brilliant blue eyes grew just a little sad at that realization - he really couldn't understand the animals as well anymore. The loss he felt was profound, for as a Mew he had spent most of his time with animals and other Pokemon, having never really felt the need to be around humans. With a shake of his head that made his pink hair flow around him, he turned optimistic and happy once more, extremely pleased by the thought of getting to share his love of nature with someone, finally. "Yes! I would love to show you the animals and nature! It is so peaceful and relaxing and fun to be out and about!"
At first Anoki was puzzled by Aizen's talk about levitation, and some worry was apparent on his face as he watched the man climb up onto the windowsill. Anoki knew he wouldn't leap if he couldn't float, or at least, he sincerely hoped that were the case. The image of Caellum getting thrown out of a window floated to the surface of his memories as he watched Aizen jumped before Anoki could respond, and he quickly floated to the windowsill and grasped it as he stared after Aizen. A slender hand clasped his chest over his heart as he caught sight of Aizen floating back up toward the window.
Thankful the man could float and happy he hadn't been hurt, Anoki moved to throw his arms around Aizen without a thought, just wanting to hug him because he was relieved he was all right. "Don't do that! I was scared you were going to get hurt!"
He squeezed Aizen tightly before floating back from him a stern look on his face for a brief moment as his lips curled back into a relieved smile. Not quite wanting to let go of him, he kept his hands half outstretched before moving back into his cross-legged sitting position not even a little embarrassed he had just throw his arms around a man he'd only just met in a hug, "I don't mind leading the way to the waterfalls."
With a wink and a mischievous smile he added, "If you think you can keep up!"
Anoki giggled just a little as he waited for Aizen to move so he could float out and lead him to his favorite spot in the whole area. At least the day was going well now, and he had made a new friend too!
