Star found himself in his favourite spot after almost absently mindedly roaming about for hours on end, day and night but to Star it was all the same really but he must admit he much preferred the night. Any how his favourite spot lay close to the northern boarders within the area known as the Greater Neverland Hills, it was also close enough to the Timeless River that on a still day the sound of crashing waterfall, which announced the entrance of the river into the territory, tickling your ear alluringly and it always made Star smile though of course it was a rare thing if he wasn't smiling so perhaps it was better to say his smile broadened. It was upon on of the larger hillocks that Star liked to perch himself for it gave him a good clear view over a lot of the spreading territory beyond and at night as an awesome advantage point to gaze upon his good friends, the stars.
He finally sat himself down, wiggling his butt to get comfortable and apologetically looked down at the grass knowing the gods which nurtured the soft blades of dulling emerald would have to work a little hard to straighten them out once he rose. He sighed contently to himself, he loved this time of year though they all had their merits he concluded he loved autumn the best for he derived a childish amount of pleasure from walking through the Hundred Acre Wood at this time of year, the autumnal goddesses working their magic and turning the leaves into a multi tone of oranges, red, yellows, browns and golds. What gave him even more pleasure was burying deep down into a large pile of fallen leaves and waiting for a unfortunate victim to haphazardly stroll by, at which point he'd leap from his place of hide and growl playfully at them. Oh some their reaction, he chuckled to himself now just thinking about it.
His vision fogged then and he shook his head to clear it though when it didn't clear he shrugged and delved into it's swirling invitation, the vision was short and informative which was rare for a vision of his but he shrugged and a smile tickled his maw as he had been informed his beloved Oathkeeper was on her way here, knowing it the best place to find the old wolf. He waited patiently, though puppyish a great percentage of his time he was also oddly patient, old age gave you that he supposed as well as the freedom to act like a pup when there was no other entertain to be had and what harm had he ever caused from his antics?

The time with the pups had been heartwarming for all of its . . . well, strife-riddled younglings. Oath had never imagined the fathers' own competition would sour their pups so, and a frown was marring her countenance as she walked. Perhaps it was time to try and reason between Hero and Winner . . . It was beginning to get out of paw when even prejudice was begotten from father to son. The Realm was a pack of researchers and those who sought knowledge, and one of their main principles was not to engage in conflicts. Civil strife should have been part of that . . .
But Oath wanted to think this wouldn't escalate. A talk with the fathers, maybe speak with the pups on an individual basis and, if all else failed, bring in the likes of Spellbinder (whose cold stare would be enough to cow a few of them at least), or their own family, or perhaps put more distance between dens to allow them all time to cool off. KK wasn't a wolf she thought could truly settle this, to be honest, and her father well . . . He still needed his time. Oath could only pray that Pumpkinhead or his mother not add to this already festering wound between the two families. He would need a different approach entirely . . .
Caught in such musings, by the time the shaman looked up and saw she was not alone, Oathkeeper wasn't quite surprised to know so. Star Seeker had an odd way of appearing when he felt he was needed, either due to his visions or gut instinct. Despite the troubling thoughts at the forefront of her mind, Oath's frown melted into a little smile as she greeted her old mentor and friend. "Autumn is your favorite season, I remember," she said, trying to push her thoughts away to something more conversational. "Have the stars been chattering about it?"

Star's grin broadened and he rose from where he sat, looking quickly down at the ground and apologising for a few broken blades of grass under his breath then quickly closed the gap between him and Oath then nuzzled her fondly, 'Oh Oath my love where have you been, I've missed your company?' There was a momentary pause and then he continued as if the missing and desiring and explanation really didn't matter at all, 'Oath you are such a sweetheart, remembering these trivial things about me, you must still be smitten with me but I'm afraid you must forget all about me, my heart belongs to Spellbinder now, I keep telling you that.' He pulled away from her and sadly shook his head, then his eyes twinkled with a playful light knowing this all to be a fun sort of game between them.
His tone changed slightly, as if he was now talking to himself though he was actually answering her question, it seemed as though he only really indented to tell himself this, 'I think the stars are sulking with me,' he looked up at the blue sky knowing they were there somewhere beyond the sun's rays, 'they have been hiding behind the clouds for the last few days.' He began to walk off then continuing to talk to himself, 'I think it's because I've been playing in the woods for a few days, the canopy is so thick where the best leaf piles form and I can't see the stars to talk to them you see, so they probably think I've been ignoring them.' He turned then, a genuine look of sadness tainted his eyes, his voice full of honest conviction, 'But that's just not true! I love my stars.' He focused on Oath then, 'Perhaps you could have a chat to them for me, tell 'em to come out from behind their clouds and talk to me, I miss them dearly.'

"Ah . . . of course?" She flushed slightly in spite of herself, but indulged Star Seeker with a smile nonetheless. A puppy crush and nothing more, but the seer enjoyed his teasing, and Oath knew it was al harmless in the end. "I'll sit and see if maybe I can coax them out for you."
Star was eclectic, yes, but soothing to her in his own odd way. He was one of the few older than her and who dated to even when the pack was still forming. Much as Oath played maternal figure to most others in The Realm, it was good to know there was a mentor figure for herself.
"Spell, was it?" she asked as she joined the seer, amused as she tilted her head skyward. "Hasn't she told you time and time again to 'bugger off before your manhood becomes nonexistance'?" Or something to that effect.
