Note :: Im still not 100% sure if her fear power is right ? Willing to tweak it if needed.

AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Name: Ziyah Karenlya - She made up the last name after awakening as a ghost.
Nicknames: Zy
Gender: Female
Age: 16

Faction/Race Ghost ---> Wisp

Personality: Ziyah is a prankster - nothing makes her happier than a well-executed prank, usually at the expense of a poor unsuspecting soul. She's mostly cheerful, able to find humor in almost any situation; She is very hard to anger or taunt effectively, as she'll turn whatever you throw at her into a joke. On the other hand, it does also means that she doesn't take much of her unlife seriously. She does what she wants, whenever she wants, and she is a bit of a flake in that aspect. While she won't say, leave class once she got in it (it's not like it's easy to be sneaky when you glow like a nightlight, after all) she'll happily tune out the teacher if she decides that she's bored.

Ziyah likes to reach out to people - both for prank victims and actual genuine friendship, through she can't really be considered a social butterfly - she prefer small groups than huge ones, though the latter do have their uses for mischief. Sometimes it can be hard to see the difference in between the two - mostly her pranks toward her friends are more harmless and comical than the pranks directed at her enemies.

On that matter, Ziyah is a bit of a relentless flirt - she will usually flirt a bit with the ones she consider her closest friends, especially the more attractive ones (to her eye, of course !). Male, Female, Freak of Nature, it doesn't matter - she's an equal opportunity wisp, thank you. She's usually gauging the attractiveness of another before they even had time to speak a word, and she... actually manages to find something attractive in about everyone. She's a weird girl. If she starts actually voicing them out loud ? Yep, she actually does care about you.

She's not the best at focusing and staying that way - she is as distracted as she actually distract others, often mentally wandering back and forth in between a few things at the same time, and... things get lost in the process. It's not her fault this test was so long and she forgot a question ! It's not even a big deal anyway, she knew the answer, see ?

Ziyah is largely unbothered about having to take an human-like shape for campus life. In fact, she quite like it - it certainly allows for more self-expression than being a tiny little ball of light, yes ?

Ziyah is actually downright afraid of the complete darkness - it is something she never knows, after all, as she generate her own light for the most part. She will freak out if her glow is somehow interrupted and she is trapped in complete darkness - and only calm when a source of light is returned to her. This will be something she will desperately attempt to hide from the other students, and the only thing she is actually self-conscious about. She will defend that, no, she is not god damn scared of the dark no matter how hard it is proved to be otherwise, beyond all sort of logic and reason.

Why did they enroll at the academy? Ziyah has lived, Ziyah has died, and Ziyah is now a lovely little wisp in halloween, courtesy of the reaper that found her and took her in. Ziyah also couldn't care less about what she used to be - she's a recently... re-awakened ghost, as it were, and she's got a lot to learn. But she needs to pass the time, for the most part. The more serious reason is that she wants to see if anything can be done about her fear of darkness - she is quite ashamed of it, however, and who knows if she would even admit it to anyone who could actually help her.

Fear: Using FEAR, Ziyah is able to adjust her own body/ectoplasm glow beyond what is normally seen in a wisp - from nothing at all (though you'll sheldom see this, thanks to her fear of the dark), to painfully bright - used mostly to temporarily blind to get the upper hand. Ziyah is unable to permanently blind, no matter how bright she glows. The brighter her glow, the more energy it takes for her to sustain - anything other than her 'normal' glow drains her energy very quickly, and she'll only pull out like, 10 seconds at full on "this is your eyes on PAAAIIINNN" glow.

Natural Ability: Wisps entice and dazzle, distract and confuse, leading people off their set path or muddling their minds.

Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Bright blue, cyan-ish, no pupil. Glows.
Hair Colour/Style: Reaches down to her butt, slightly wavy. She doesn't bother to try to straighten them. White with bright glowing cyan streaks all over.
Skin Colour: Medium blue, with a mark under her right eye, in bright cyan. Her whole skin generates a glow wherever it is exposed.
Clothing Style/Colours: See-through as much as possible, though she has to adere to dress code. Sigh. A bikini top, shorts, with some sort of see-through shirt over her bikini top. In spite of the above, owns knee-high lace up leather boots and will wear them whenever she can get away with.

Her clothes can really stand to be better (and more halloween-ish) than the ones I drew on the ref. This is just a base idea, it can definitively be elaborated upon by the artist.
Extra: Bright, colorful jewelry, mostly bracelets and necklaces. Up to the artist really, but not too over the top please~.

I love a will-o-the-wisp as a prankster. Totally suited, and Zy fits the archetype perfectly. Small groups vs large groups is great, I like that you mention that large groups have their uses even if they're not preferred.

If Zy is so hard to worry, how would anyone worry her to the point where she breaks down from it? Is there some other kind of pressure that she's not used to that could force her to worry - teachers or classes or homework, as opposed to students whom she wouldn't have problems dealing with? What would actually force this situation? Otherwise it sounds like something that might never actually occur. (I totally write that way myself, btw, at least until people slap me upside the head with it.)

I loooove the fear of darkness. The nightlight wants a nightlight! <3 So cute.

I think you haven't quite got the grip on natural ability and FEAR. The FEAR has to be an attack that first years can only use once - so something like the glow that could last all battle wouldn't suit. What you've put as FEAR sounds more like natural ability - that all Wisps would be able to adjust the brightness of their glow in order to deceive humans and lead them astray. And what you've put as natural ability sounds more like a description of Wisps, but it does give me an idea for FEAR - dazzling the mind. Maybe Zy does something (a bright flash, idk) that causes a minute or two of muddled thinking? I'm sure you can get some more suggestions or come up with something else, that's just off the top of my head.

Hope this helps!

Thank you ! <3 It came to me a bit randomly and it seemed like a good point to include along. It surprised me no one had done that archetype already, so that's why I decided to do her first. (Im kind of juggling an idea for a necromancer reaper, but I want to get Zy to an okay state before I even try to think about it.)

If someone she cares about ended up wounded badly, she would worry about them. If someone she cared about say... went though a bad breakup, she'd worry about them (though in a more managable way) and then probably make sure the other party couldn't walk a step before having a bucket of goo falling on their head. << Mostly she doesn't worry about herself, but will worry about others if the situation becomes dire enough and she actively do care about them - thanks for making me elaborate on this, I didn't notice I had created a bit of a plot hole. Ill look that bit and probably tone it down a little so that it has more chance of coming into play.

edit :: I toned it down a bit, and added that she's a bit of a flake. Seems to make more sense for her personality type.

Indeed. XD It has to do with how she died, actually, but of course she doesn't remember it at all... And she probably will never get over it, even if she badly hopes she will.

I thought the natural ability was like, the blurb about it in the race info, which is exactly what I put down. The glow of her FEAR power is not intended to last all battle - it's a flash, mostly, and she could probably hold it for mayyyybe... something like 10 secs as a grade 1 before she ran out of energy, if she was going full-out eye-pwnage. I probably worded it badly. Curse you, english-as-second-language. Ill look it over.

I only have a couple of things that come to mind (as you've pretty much covered all the bases) :
1.) RAVER 8DDDDD
2.) You mentioned her glowing can be interrupted? How does that happen apart from exhausting herself because if she can naturally glow, she would never really be in the dark (literally) would she?
3.) Has she/does she have the tendency to take her pranks too far? Is there an undertone of malice to them?
4.) How does she react when she's being "disciplined"? Or if a student lashes out in anger because of a prank she played on them?

Her glowing can only be really interrupted by exhaustion, yes. Or when she sleeps. Im assuming you're mentioning this in addition of her fear of darkness, sooo~ There are ways to take advantage of it even with her glow. Illusions, temporary blinding (the fact that she glows doesn't make her immune to bright light, so she could technically temporary blind herself if her FEAR was reflected on her/if she pulled it in front of a mirror or something.)

Quote:
3.) Has she/does she have the tendency to take her pranks too far? Is there an undertone of malice to them?

Usually she doesn't - she's fairly chill, so for the most part she's harmless. Unless she's provoked too far, or one of her friends is (mostly the latter) then that's her main method of retribution. She might not get you now, but she'll get you...

Even then, I can't see her pranks as going far enough as to cause true long-term harm. They can get very unpleasant if she finds reason to have them be, but ultimately she's just not mean-spirited enough, if that makes sense ?

Quote:
4.) How does she react when she's being "disciplined"? Or if a student lashes out in anger because of a prank she played on them?

If it's a teacher, she'll listen - since it's a figure of authority. She might even try to correct whatever she's been disciplined about, but ultimately she's a flake and... yeah. XD She just can't constantly pay attention and she's easily distracted by anything that looks interesting. On the latter scenario, she probably wouldn't get why the student is so angry about it (It's all fun and games ! And no one lost an eye !) and probably would just tell him/her to loosen up. Because it was obviously hillarous, and they just missed the humor.

That's a good question ! (sorry for the lateness, I kind of spaced out)

I figure she would - everyone's got a breaking point, after all. It probably won't be pretty if someone pushes her that far, that's for sure ! But ill'd say she has a very, very long fuse.

Sunglasses firmly perched on her nose, Hellma tapped her pen impatiently as she waited for the Bin's glow to die down a bit. "These wisps...always they are with the nuisance!"

The light faded to only mildly blinding, and she gave a loud sniff, and made a note to student housing: assign Miss Karenlya one of the ghost rooms with the faulty light fixtures. No need to repair. They were on a budget after all, and the girl glowed, for Jack's sake!
