The days were cooling now, every morning started out crisp and refreshing. This was just such a morning. The sun was just beginning to peek out over the horizon, but there was still fog in the air. It was a perfect morning to be laying at the edge of a calm pond, with a limb over the edge of a rock and swaying slowly back and forth in the cool water. His eyes though, were watching the horizon, watching as the sky changed colors fluidly and slowly became harder and harder to stare at. He would do this often, when he woke up alone or even more commonly with someone by his side, though usually it would be her limb in the water then, not his. But today, he had the morning all to himself - or at least he thought he did. All was still around him, and he took big deep breaths of the crisp, clean air, and he was loving every second. Sometimes life just got so hectic that it was nice to be able to slow down and watch the sun rise.

Repossession loved mornings. And she didn't tackle them with the normal, groggy level of enthusiasm, no indeed, she woke up to them with her neon eyes a'glow, the very tip of her prehensile tail twitching delightedly at the prospects of a new day. Already on her feet, she had awoken from the very first moment that the sun had begun to spread its welcoming glow over the horizon and her skipping hooves had left trails of luminescence trailing into the dissipating gloom on her trail towards the lake. Standing out so brilliantly against the muted, nature-esque colors of the landscape, she seemed to dull everything around her (which, notably, had caused her to entirely miss Brackenhide's presence), an effect that she'd always rather enjoyed. Her sire had created a little rhyme about her radiance as a foal, not days after she'd emerged from her basket, and she hummed the off-key sing-song as the memories welled up, causing her already impressive smile to widen.

Trotting to the water's edge, her hooves splashed softly as she waded in, ankle-deep, taking a moment to stare at the odd effect of her own feet beneath the clear liquid. Giggling softly, she dipped her muzzle into the lake to procure a sip. "Good morning lake..." She warbled softly, splashing with one hoof so that she could see the ripples escalating outwards. Easily amused? Perhaps, but she meant well.

He heard the little sing-song grow from the faintest of almost-imagined sounds, to an audible and identifiable hum. He did not react to it at first, other than to flick an ear over his shoulder to follow it, but eventually it was impossible to overlook because it had become accompanied by a glowing mare.

His gaze torn away from the rising sun, Brackenhide had to squint through the glowing blue fog that seemed to linger behind the mare, to make out her figure and eventually the details. The fog, or whatever it was, seemed to be coming off of her hooves... or at least where her hooves stepped. But those dainty hooves attached to a lithe body, black in it's base with swirling blues and neons that literally had the stallion staring.

Rude, yes, but he was caught up in her glow and could not bring himself to speak.
She spoke to the water, and all he could think was that even her voice matched her coat. She was altogether, stunning. Enough to leave any stallion speechless.
