Fall. That pretty much described the entire day, setting, and feel of everything around her. And much to the surprise of the birds in the surrounding trees, Dulce took off, speeding through the trees, wind rushing through her hair as she made yet another lap of the little deciduous forest. With the birds taking off into the air, and her hooves pounding on the ground, the entire area seemed alive with noises: rustlings of leaves, her galloping, feathers brushing together, tweets and twitters, among many others. But there was one thing missing from this ordeal. A pile of leaves to jump into. Well, that wasn't quite true. She knew that somewhere in the middle of these trees there was already a decent pile of leaves, but it wasn't full and fluffy enough for her liking, and so without further ado, she slowed to a trot, picking up leaves as she went and only pausing to drop them on the growing pile.
Yellows, oranges, reds, even some purples were all mixed together in a wonderful salad of autumn. When she deemed the pile big enough, she took one last look around the trees and then applied a big grin to her muzzle... only to flop back onto the soft leaves. A soft thud and then giggling would suggest that she was definitely having the time of her life. And should anyone come across this particular little forest, they would surely spot her sprawled on her back among all these colors, limbs flailing, eyes closed and a stupid-happy smirk on those lips that were humming some unknown tune.
