Night had fallen and the brightly hued ado wolf slipped through the darkness and around the many trees that made up the lands he was wandering upon. The moon made little light as it's crescant shape was slowly dissolving each night to create the new moon once again. It would be half a month before the moon showed it whole face once again, but Cyrus cared little. His eyes were well adapted to the night and he enjoyed the darkness that danced around him.
Stopping to survey his surroundings a gentle yawn escaped the young male wolf. The night was late and he was growing weary from travel. Spotting a rather large cluster of brush Cyrus moved over towards it and slipped into it's grasp as he laid upon the cold ground. The bush would provide a little protection and help hide his flashy yellow pelt.

Kouji was resting securely atop of a rock embedded in the center of a stream, whose path would not be deterred by the gray beast. The little trickle of water wound about the small boulder and continued it's journey southward, no doubt finding it's way to the lake that fed to the river of Yero's territory.
He could hear the stirrings of another nearby, and lifted his head from where it once rested atop his paws. It was nearing the time he should return home to his den and his mate anyway.
Silently, Kouji observed a bright patch of golds and browns emerge, and he shifted enough to sit up, the moonlight catching his pelt and making the white cape, paw and undersides seem to glow in contrast to the soft blue of his fur.
"It's a cold night to be sleeping alone." He commented non commitally. Yet there was something about this male that seemed to suggest he didn't mind.

Cyrus's head snapped up at the sound of the voice. The branches of the brush he lay under poking and prodding his face as he peered through them to catch a glimpse of the male. The first instinct that overcame the young golden male was to cower before the older wolf but after a quick review of the words that had been spoken and the males body posture Cyrus felt that he was in little trouble...yet.
Not moving from his position cyrus lowered his head a bit so the branches of the brush didn't continue to threaten his eyes with their ever dangerous prodding. "Alone or not I do have to sleep." A small yawn racked through his body after her spoke.

"True enough." Kouji complied, a tiny smile poking through the dark.
The male didn't rise from his place, enjoying his perch as much as not being familiar enough with Cyrus to get closer, for either of their comfort just yet.
"Your name?"

A smirk played upon the young males face as his attitude and confidence began to grow somewhat. "I am called Cyrus, named after the sun God." He shrugged his shoulders the best he could from his laying position. "It fits me and I like it."
He studied the male for a few more moments before slowly rising from his spot and slinking out from the brush. "And what are you called?" He asked as he stood just in front of the bush eyes never leaving the male as he watched for any sign of aggression or displeasure.

"I am called Kouji." He didn't bother giving the origin of his name. There was nothing interesting about being the namesake to a wolf you'd never heard of or didn't know, or thus was Kouji's reason for not sharing that tidbit.
Taking a closer look at Cyrus' colors, Kouji had to agree. Being named after a sun deity did seem rather fitting, though it was also the first he'd heard of this "Cyrus" god.
He nodded his head forward as he noticed this, letting himself and the yellow male lock eyes in a neutral gaze. "Cyrus, are you new to these woods? You'll have to forgive me, it's been a long time since I wandered these freelands like this. There are quite a few unfamiliar and new scents in the air, yours being one of them."

Kouji huh? Well, Cyrus certainly liked the ring of the name and it seemed to befit the wolf so he merely nodded his head.
Eyes roamed the males stature and Cyrus cocked his head to the side slightly. "I am fairly new to these woods yes." He eyed Kouji. "Are you an alpha of a pack or simply a pack member? It's not common to find a lone pack member roaming the freelands. The life of a pack is simply easier than that of a loner."

Kouji offered the small smile once more, as though amused by something that only he was aware of.
"I think you could say I'm somewhere in between." He answered. "Yes, a lone pack member is something of an odd sight, even in these parts. My mate and I are members of a pack, currently, but seek to liberate and reform our own in the lands east of here."

Cyrus raised a brow. "Liberate? Is there something wrong within the pack that you wish to free members?" Cyrus was a bit startled. "Surely no pack required members to liberate themselves. They should be able to come and go as they please."

"They should be." Kouji rose now, pausing to look at Cyrus. "They are not, however."
And as he said this he turned to meander down to ground level, revealing some of the scars leftover from his first fight with his father. He came to stand at the base of the rock, still keeping a polite distance from Cyrus out of courtesy, and to prevent coming off as aggressive. His stance remained neutral.

Cyrus was taken back. A pack that was run, what sounded like, out of fear! Why would an alpha do such a thing? Next question was, how powerful was this wolf and how many others did he have backing him up? Surely one wolf couldn't do it alone without some supporters.
The yellow male watched as Kouji moved to ground level. Cyrus was certainly smaller in stature than the full grown adult but he was certainly getting there.
"I truly can't imagine a pack that has such a cruel Alpha. Just the thought of living in such a group is stifling." Stopping for a moment a cheeky grin formed on the young one's face. "If you want, I'd gladly help you with your liberation and pack."

Kouji seemed to consider, debating within himself. Cyrus was young, and he didn't like the idea of any wolves loosing their lives or becoming cripplingly injured on his account. He was not too keen on the idea of an adolescent fighting with them, but already knew that they were also desperate for aide. They couldn't afford to be nitpicky, only careful.
"It'll be very dangerous." He stated the obvious steadily. "I can't assure any victory at this point in time, we're only but six at this time... However, I can offer you a place within our pack if we are sucessful, and the freedom to leave at any time."

Cyrus didn't need much time to ponder. The life of a pack was what he had wanted since coming to these woods and now he had a chance. Being in a pack would be the greatest reward he could possibly get and would make him strive even harder to make sure that the wolves of this other pack were liberated.
"I laugh as the face of danger, HAHAHA" << (Sorry had to do it. XD)
With a grin Cyrus moved closer to the male. "I'll gladly think of you as Alpha and I'll do my best to help free the other wolves. Win or loose I at least will be able to know that I worked for something to be proud of."

Kouji felt a little proud, watching the Youth's indominable spirit, and hearing him pledge alligiance to himself. To have a cause you believed in, and to have others join you in that cause, strangers or not, it was humbling how many kind faces there were in these woods full of loners and those who were wronged and abandoned. "You have my gratitude then, Cyrus, and my vow to earn and keep that trust and loyalty which you have shown my mate and I."

"I will be glad to say I am fighting for something as important as this." He tilted his head slightly. "It's not everyday that a wolf is presented with such an oppurtunity to be a part of a group working towards something they all believe in."
