Ailin was feeling somewhat stifled in the house of late, with Niamh's blindness and Eremon's protectiveness making him feel unneeded and unnecessary. To accommodate the itching to get outdoors he slipped out of the house while Eremon was shopping and Niamh was listening to a movie and headed towards Cyrus Square. The place was fast becoming his favorite haven from home and he often ran into new and interesting people while he was there. Today, however, the child Scent was not looking for someone new to meet but some alone time. He was angry and annoyed at Niamh and he couldn't really figure out why he was so upset with her. She hadn't done anything wrong, per se. She just frustrated him to no end.
His hooved feet stomped along the sidewalk as he headed to the park and angled for one of the many iron benches near it. People watching was often a good way to relax, and maybe he could forget about being upset while he was there. It might at least ease his frustrations before he went home so he wouldn't blow up at Niamh. With a loud flop Ailin collapsed onto the bench and laid down so that his feet were dangling over one rail and his head lay on the hard metal of the fence. It might not be the most comfortable of positions, but it would do for now. Besides, he didn't really want to be comfortable right then. He just wanted an escape.

When Mia was off at work, there wasn't much to do at home. Keiko's guardian allowed her to leave the house, not to far, if she ever got bored. Although Mia tended to come home all to often during the day whenever she had a possible break to make sure her child was still in the house, something about fearing that Keiko would disappear if she didn't keep her close. Not that the little girl would leave, Mia took great care of her, and the memories of her old guardian were being replaced with those of her new one. Keiko had no intentions of leaving soon, especially considering they'd be moving a little closer to the city for Keiko's social sake. Searching through the mess of Mia's workspace, Keiko found a clean paper and pen to write with. If she was going to go out for the afternoon she would leave a note behind. Hicking up her kimono, the little scent took a seat and started her letter.
“Dear Mia, I will be leaving for the afternoon, don't worry I'll be back for dinner time.
Love, Keiko. P.S. I won't go very far”
It was simple, and she'd leave it on the table. She got off the chair, fixing her kimono and left the little house. Good thing Mia had left her with a bit of money, she was able to catch a carriage towards the city. It was a little weird that someone would be pulling the small carriage when her guardian had spent many headaches explaining the equine world to her. Keiko still felt uninterested in the subject, but found this situation ironic. Green eyes watched the city start to form around her, she sometimes wondered what it would be like to live in the depths of the city in comfort. Maybe once she got a job, she'd allow herself a place within the cities apartments.
However, Keiko soon founder herself bored, with her head leaning on her hand. As they passed a park, something did catch her attention. “Stop!, Stop here.” Smoothly, the girl stepped out from the carriage and paid the man. Oh, Mia wouldn't be happy that she'd spent this much in a day and she still needed to get back home. The park was quite pretty, but the even the scenery couldn't keep her attention. With her old guardian she'd never met others like her, but something told her that he was similar to her, and it intrigued her very much. Quietly, Keiko made her way over to him, long onyx hair catching the breeze for a brief moment as she took a seat beside him, but didn't say anything for a few seconds as if deciding that she might just have been wrong. Green eyes turned to him, expression one of intrigue.
“Hi.”

Ailin had very nearly fallen asleep when he heard the sounds of someone shuffling his way and saw the shadow briefly block the sun out from his eyes. He was happy for the reprieve of the light glaring down on him, however, and his breathing deepened even as he heard her sit down and felt the shift of the bench to accommodate the added weight. Whoever it was smelled sweet, and it put him at ease even if he hadn't opened his eyes yet to look at her. The young Scent settled himself deeper into the metal of the bench and took a deep breath before she spoke and startled him from his reverie.
With a lazy movement Ailin tilted his head backward so that he was facing her, but upside down and opened his eyes before quirking an eyebrow up at her. A small smirk spread across his lips as he gave a wave of one hand, "Hello."
He knew he should say more, however, and pulled the arm that was dangling up so that the hand rested on his stomach along with the other before giving a great yawn and arching his stomach in a stretch to wake himself up better. When that was complete he gave a broader smile, "My name is Ailin. What's your's?"

The first thoughts Keiko had about the boy, was that he was either very lazy or very comfortable, but because of her scent most people always looked comfortable around her and she couldn't tell for sure. She titled her head as he continued to smirk at her, she couldn't help herself so she let a small smile grow on her lips as well. When he introduced himself, Keiko knew she wouldn't be forgetting his name very soon, you never forgot someone that looked interesting.
"I'm Keiko." She turned her body towards her, letting her arm closes to the bench lean on the top so she could hold her head up so she talk to him. She'd also folded her legs under her, an old habit from long ago. She took in a deep breath, trying to figure out what his own scent was, but she was unable to identify it. It was odd because she'd always thought she was good at guessing the smell of things, not being able to figure it out only made him more interesting. Keiko would have to remember to ask him what it was later on if they continued to talk, but maybe was an understatement; she always got what she wanted.

It wasn't so much that Ailin was particularly lazy or very comfortable on that bench as it was that he was more interested in sleeping without any company around to interrupt it. But, the girl who was sitting on the bench near him wasn't exactly ugly or deformed and the Lust Scent really couldn't help himself but keep an eye on her. Ailin had only recently started to look at girls as more than just cute things to look at, a sign, according to Niamh's brother, that he had hit puberty and would undoubtedly be growing taller soon. Eremon had said it was part of growing up, to take notice of these sorts of things, but all the young Scent knew was that he was feeling moody and Niamh wasn't helping things.
She was too kind, too helpful, too pleasant. It drove him absolutely bonkers. And that was why he had come out to punish himself by taking a nap on the iron bench, where the feeling of its hard metal surface would dig into his back and ribs. It would make him forget how he was feeling, and he hoped the time out of the house might make him less of a jerk when he got home. He really didn't want to fight with Niamh. It just happened.
The young girl's voice soon pulled him out of his thoughts and he tipped his head back so he could look at her once more before tossing her a crooked grin, "Keiko, what a pretty name!" Something inside of him stirred as she shifted her positioning and he couldn't really tell if it was the sun that suddenly made him feel uncomfortable with its light shining down in his eyes when he looked back at her or if it was something else. To avoid himself from thinking about it any further, he casually spun himself into an upright position and gave another languid stretch. There. Now he was at least wide awake!
Ailin turned himself slightly so he could look at her, now almost on the completely opposite side of the bench and smiled pleasantly, "So, Keiko, what brings you out this way?" The Lust Scent idly ran a hand through his purple Mohawk as he waited for her answer, maybe she would be a good distraction from his thoughts and feelings.

It was the first time anyone had told her that her name was pretty, with the exception of Mia of course, and the comment had lite up her cheeks with a light pink color barely noticeable. "Thank you." She ought to be a bit more courteous, especially since now she felt like she had his whole attention. Which was good, Keiko always did like when people looked at her when she talked to them, she had made the effort to look at him to begin with. Though now she was certain that she'd probably awakened him from some sort of light slumber, no time to apologize she'd. Using her free hand she ran a hand through the bottom of her hair and brought it to the front, Mia had always told her she looked prettier when her hair wasn't hidden behind her ears. "I was just taking a troll around, and noticed you."
Truth was, she'd been looking for others like herself whom also seemed to effect others with a special scent of their own; he was the first she was meeting. "Your scent also caught my attention, though I can't seem to put my finger on what it is." Keiko wasn't sure if it was rude to ask others such a question, but she didn't know much about herself either. Mia left her with many unanswered questioned, and her guardian before had simply left her to fend for herself. However, Mia had been able to tell her what she smelled like, though she'd paled a little while explaining. Keiko hadn't known if it was a bad or a good thing, the only thing she knew was that people relaxed and enjoyed themselves quite a bit more around her then others. Mia had been no exception, and it left the scent wondering if it was the reason her guardian sometimes opened up the windows when she looked a bit sick.
As if snapped out of a daze she blinked, usually she didn't day dream while in the middle of a conversation and she hoped he hadn't noticed either. "I apologize if it's rude to ask another's scent, you're the first like myself I meet." Truth be told she'd be going out more to find others, Mia might not like her to go to the city, but there was no way around it.

Ailin did not realize that he had just done something well because he was too wrapped up in his own mind to pick up on the light flush of Keiko's cheeks. A small smile touched his lips as she pulled her hair from behind her ears. She looked pretty that way, and he felt his back straighten in response as he paid her his full and complete attention. That smile turned sheepish though when she pointed out she'd been strolling about when sh ehad noticed him. He had only been taking a nap, and now he felt like he was being unduly lazy for some reason.
A chuckle escaped from between Ailin's lips as she pointed out she couldn't place a finger on his Scent. Most people couldn't - and he had noticed teenagers and adults were far more affected by it than people his own age. He didn't fully understand what lust entailed, all he knew was he liked having stuff and found himself always wanting for more. As he was young, he had only just begun to discover the opposite sex and recognize that there was a tantalizing feel to them. It was something he knew he would love to explore further, but first - there were other things to tend to. Such as making friends and convincing Niamh and Eremon he needed the things he said he did. With a mischievous grin he leaned closer to the girl and smiled quietly, "That is because my Scent is one full of wants and desires."
With a mental nod for himself for coming up with such a clever way of phrasing it, or so he thought, he tilted his own head and breathed deeply, "And since you mentioned Scents...mind if I ask what your's is? I don't think its rude at all to ask - better to ask and find out than not ask and assume, right?" He would rather be told than guess, anyway. That way he didn't upset her. And she wasn't someone he wanted to upset right at that moment, in fact - he felt...far more peaceful than he had been before she sat down. He kind of liked the feeling though it pulled at him and made him feel restless, like he wanted to fight it off.
