It may be old fashioned, but it works. Commanders use horses to oversee the battle and command troops. The officers usually ride them, but sometimes you can take them out on a ride as long as you have clearance. There are 15 horses in the stable. There is one palomino, and the commander usually rides it. Also located here are some motorcycles (although most are kept in the armory or kept as private property), donkeys, lamas, oxes, and mules.

Celeste walked into the stables and went up to a nearby bay gelding. The horse whinnied at her approach. Celeste smiled and held out her hand, so it could approach her on it's own terms. The gelding approached the side of it's stall and sniffed at her hand before allowing Celeste to stroke it's nose. It was a funny thing. The mute girl who slayed her enemies without hesitation, and almost never showed a smile to another human being was now standing before a simple horse, smiling with the utmost gentility. This was just how she was. Celeste found it far easier to connect with animals than with humans.

Lana stepped into the stables, her gaze hard and fierce. The room seemed to darken as her gaze landed on Celeste. "You have a way with animals." She said coldly, but not purposely. She had a habit of doing that. Celeste may think she was furious at her, but in reality she had forgotten entirely. It wasn't important anyways.

Celeste turned towards the voice which had addressed her, and saw Lana standing there. Automatically, Celeste dipped her head in greeting. Lana's voice sounded rather cold to her, and Celeste wondered briefly if Lana was still angry about Celeste stopping her battle with Greg. However, Celeste brushed the thought aside. Even if she was, it really didn't matter. Celeste wasn't looking for friends. She had no need for people to like her. Those feelings wouldn't last anyways. They never did.

Lana sighed. "Right. I forgot your mute." She said walking over to Celeste. Lana stroked the horse's mane and touched the back, feeling ridges under her fingertips. "She's been genetically modified you know." She said picking up a stray feather from the ground. Lana glanced back up at Celeste , seeing how she would react. Many people didn't like the idea that the Redcoats were experimenting on animals, but the thing was that they were successful. Genetic mutations that allowed animals to fly, speak, and much more. If only they could experiment on humans.

Celeste glanced at Lana, but showed no other sort of reaction. She had learned long ago that showing emotions on one's face could give a great deal more information to people than words could. So Celeste had always been sure to lock any sort of emotion deep within herself where no one could use them against her. Besides, she had already known about the genetic experimentation. She hated it and thought it was wrong, but if she expressed that view, she could be punished and called a traitor for it. And where would that leave her? Besides, she had already arrived at the conclusion that Lana was attempting to get a rise out of her. She just wasn't sure why yet.

Lana chuckled softly and blew the feather out of her fingers. "Don't trust me huh? Good move. But I'll tell you something. I want to be your friend. Your a good soldier Celeste, but I need to know more about you in order to decide what to do with you." She said glancing over at Celeste. Lana smirked and hoisted herself onto the horse. If we're preparing for battle....this would be a good horse to use... Lana thought, making a side note for the future. She whistled and out trotted another horse, white as snow. "Wanna go for a ride?" She said raising an eyebrow. It made her smirk knowing not manypeople could. Despite her dark humor, she could have a good hearted laugh once in a while.

Celeste regarded Lana, trying to decide if this girl was trying to trick her or just plain insane. No one had expressed any desire to be her friend since she was a small child. Celeste didn't really know how to react, so she began to shuffle around in her cut-off's pockets, in search of something. After a few moments, she pulled out a pocket-sized notebook and pencil. She then proceeded to scrawl something in the notebook before handing in to Lana. "Ma'am, if you're feeling unwell then prehaps you should retire to your room."

[Thank you!]
Lana smirked and handed the notebook back to Celeste. "I'm not ill. Even I laugh sometimes." She said and stroked the Horse's mane. "So are you gonna come for a ride?" She asked noticing her bright white horse, and her midnight black horse looked completely opposite.

Celeste considered the offer for a moment before walking over to the other horse and mounting it in one swift motion. She then turned it towards the stable doors and glanced back at Lana asking her silently to lead the way.

A devilish grin formed on Lana's face. "Hiah!" She yelled. Her horse reared and stormed out of the stables. In a swift motion the horse's wings snapped out and took off, gliding through the air as gentle as a hummingbird.

Celeste didn't wait to be invited. She squeezed the sides of her own horse urging it to follow. The animal jumped forward and galloped out of the stable. It's wings then spread wide, and it took off in flight, carrying Celeste on it's broad back.

((Hope this isn't God-modding...))
Celeste landed her horse back at the stables, after parting ways with Lana. Celeste had remembered that she had to go to Snowtown in order to pick up a few items she required. Besides, her horse was beginning to tire. She gently cared for the winged animal before returning it back to it's stall. She then turned and left for Snowtown.
[Exit to Snowtown.]
