User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Kiume warmed his dark fur in the sunlight as the sparse clouds loomed in the sky. With wide-eyed curiosity, he pawed at an odd-looking stone beneath him. It wasn't jagged or rough like the others, but round and smooth. What a discovery! With a bit of force it rolled across the dirt and made its escape. Kiume let out a yelp and gave chase, but the rock had amazing camouflage ... and it disappeared from view.

Kiume's interest in the stone completely disappeared as his brother came into view. "Mtima!" He barked happily at the lighter cub, a grin stretching across the face. But.. what's this? He couldn't figure out how to make his paws stop moving so fast! "W-watch out!!"

User ImageMtima had wandered off for a moment to do something he forgot just what it was when suddenly he saw his brother pretty much running at him full speed. Golden eyes widened and it was too late for him to move as he got thudded into with a soft squeak of surprise as he and his sibling apparently went tumbling from the force of impact. Mtima by instinct clung to his brother digging in his claws just enough to maintain hold until such a time that they could become still once more.

When the moment occurred he uttered a small grumble of "Wah'chit," as he nipped at what he could reach of his brother's person, mostly play biting because he was now riled up and wanted to wrestle. "Clum'sy-butt, your paws ran off with you," he teased becoming slowly but surely more playful as the moments passed.

In a flurry of limbs and tails, Kiume tumbled across the dirt and grass with his brother. It was chaos! The little cub couldn't decipher the sky from the ground until the world finally stopped spinning. Pinpricks in his fur made him yowl, but only for a moment. The pain was quickly forgotten when Mtima withdrew his claws from Kiume's flesh.

When he'd finally recovered from the dramatic ordeal, Kiume gave his older brother an apologetic grin. "S-sorry Mtima... I f'got how to stop. Thanks f'catching me, though!" Kiume giggled, batting a lavender paw at his brother's face as he tried to bite at him. "M'not for eating, Mtima!" The cub jumped up and landed playfully with his rear and tail in the air.

...But it didn't take long for the dark cub to get distracted and randomly bolt past Mtima. "The rock! The stone! The pebble!..." He glanced behind him without stopping. "The Mtima! The Mtima!"

CRASH. Kiume learned to watch where he was going the hard way. He blinked rapidly as he gazed up at the stone alter that had barely budged from the impact. Fearing he'd be scolded, Kiume scrambled away with his ears drooping. "...Oops."

"Is 'kay," he assured his darker brother. For the moment he played with his darker furred sibling with innocent abandon. He pawed back at his brother's face before suddenly he had jumped away making Mtima have to amble up to his own paws to match the stance, "Are so!" he teased cheerfully. He honestly didn't intend on ever eating his brother. Then his brother suddenly bolted past him shouting something about rock, stones, pebbles and finally his name before he crashed. He canted his head to the side as he considered chasing after his brother up until the crash occurred.

The lighter cheetah cringed and leaned his ears back in sympathy because that couldn't have felt good. When his brother scrambled away he trotted to Kiume, "You okay? Didn't break yer head didya?"

Kiume whimpered and snuggled into his brother's fur as he appeared. "I hope not..." A little paw reached up to press against the new swollen bulge appearing on his head. "It hurts, Mtima. Whatever you do, don't run into the big rock." He nodded his head firmly as he taught this valuable life lesson to his older brother.

"I was looking f'the rock that is shaped funny." Ignoring the pain with a cringe, Kiume resumed his search for the stone orb. After what seemed like years (Kiume doesn't know how long a year is, but it must be a really long time!), he found it nestled among some other loose stones. "Here it is! Mtima! Watch out!" Giggling, the dark cub batted the stone and watched it roll towards his brother.

He let his darker brother seek comfort from him and he nodded sagely when he was told that it was indeed hurtful, "Yah. Never doin' that," he assured his brother as if he had learned from his own brother's mistakes by living vicariously through him. It was one of those things that he didn't really need to feel to know that it hurt. Kiume's actions and testimony were more than enough.

"Funny shaped rock? There are lots of those around," he scoffed a bit with a small chuckle as he stood and went to follow his brother around to see if he could help but it seemed after a bit his brother managed to find on his own and thus he settled to a seated position and watched the rock as it rolled toward him. That was kinda neat! He reached up a paw to stop the progress of it and laughed, "Hey! That is a funny lookin' rock." he batted it back at his brother in favor of playing with it.

"But this one is extra funny lookin'. Like your head." Kiume squealed his delight as the rock came right back at him. He tried to swipe it as it was in motion, but missed horribly. He spun around and chased after the thing and attempted to do it again. This time it worked, but only because he ended up tripping over it in the process.

Instantly blaming his brother for his pain, he shot him a dirty look with a playful flare. "C'mon Mtima! That wasn't fair." He giggled, watching as the rock bounced and rolled towards the lighter cub again.

Mtima laughed at the taunt and retorted, "That'd make your head funny lookin' too since yer my brother," he taunted back seeking to remind his brother that they shared blood between them and thus 'funny' shaped heads. The lighter cub watched as his brother missed and waited patiently trying not to just outright laugh at Kiume's mishaps. As long as he didn't hurt himself again it was all good!

He slipped his tongue out at the dirty look and then moved to swipe the rock back at Kiume only to miss and have to chase after it. It took a moment for him to catch up to the rolling piece of earth where it stopped and he swatted it back, "All is fair in rolling of rocks~. I can't control that y'know!"

Kiume paused to digest this immense wisdom his brother just shared with him. "Oh yeah... Well, in that case. Your head is perfectly shaped." He giggled, letting his light purple paws bounce in place as he waited for the stone to return. "Just like moms'!" Mom was best at everything, after all.

Kiume gave a gentle scoff at his brother's retort. "Whatever, Mtima! You're just makin' stuff up now!" His pink eyes strained to follow the rock rolling towards him. It skidded across the gravel gracelessly, but Kiume was determined to hit it this time. Without fail!

Swoosh! Ping! He actually hit his target! "Yay!"

He blinked as his brother took the insult and turned it into a compliment...somehow. What a wierdo! Mtima laughed and nodded a bit, "Yeah, sure. Just like Dad, too!" he pointed out since it wasn't just mom that brought them into the world. Not that he had a whole lot of an idea of how that all happened he just figured Dad had a part of it somewhere for sure and thus was not allowed to be an exception to the whole ordeal. Nope!

Mtima snorted a bit as he watched his brother, "How do you know I'm makin' it up? Wanna prove it?" he scoffed happily and then got ready as the rock started its merry way back to him. He went to pad after it before it got too far out of his range because it was going a little bit far out of his reach and then moved to swat it ...Only to miss it by a couple of inches and fall over with a soft oof.

"Nnnnnmmph!" he got up and shook himself off, "stupid rock," he said sulkily.

"I suppose..." Kiume was a little bit reluctant to admit that dad's head might be as perfect as mom's. Mom was a girl, and aren't girls better than boys? It was uncertain, Kiume himself was a boy... and how can he admit that he wasn't better?

"Yeah, prove it." Kiume tossed Mtima a playful glare and didn't attempt to hold back his laughter when he missed the rock. "Haha- Oooh!" The laugh quickly turned to a cringe when Mtima took the plunge. Kiume rushed to his side, brushing away dirt and licking his cheek in a comforting manner. "Maybe you're right after all, Mtima. Let's play something else!"

Kiume's pink eyes darted around their surroundings. The alter? That wouldn't be very fun to play with. And Kiume knew they'd get in trouble if they played with those pretty purple and pink flowers. Nothing around here looked very fun... Maybe Kiume just needed to lure Mtima elsewhere.

"TAG!" Kiume prodded Mtima's shoulder with a paw and dashed in the opposite direction. Paws, don't fail me now!

Mtima gave a small snort at Kiume's reluctance to give into perfect reasoning that he was trying to present to him. As far as the blue-and-white cub was concerned they weren't imperfect because both of their parents were pretty perfect except maybe Dad was a bit more awesome though he didn't word any of that.

"Prove your face," he taunted back before he fell and well any further taunts was pretty much forgotten. Mtima pawed at his brother when Kiume began to lick at his cheek and fuss at him, "I'm 'kay," he mumbled gruffly with a small grin happy that his sibling cared for him and soon was able to recollect himself once more and stand.

He was about to ask what his brother wanted to play next and suddenly the game of tag was instigated and he gave chase after him with a small laugh, "Not fair!" he called out after and leapt a few times after Kiume to catch up his paws aiming to swipe at whatever he could get without stumbling and falling.

Kiume laughed and pranced playfully across the dirt and grass with his brother not far behind. The dark cub's paws weren't as quick as he would have liked, causing him to slow and fall victim to Mtima's swipes.

"Hey!" The young cheetah made a pathetic attempt to swat at his brother with his tail. "Keep your paws on the ground, silly! Or else you're gunna trip!" Though Kiume willed it to happen, just so he could get to the den before he was caught.

It wasn't long before the den came into view where the rest of the family was resting and playing. Kiume couldn't wait to get Pefe and Carles to join in on their little game.... It would be a chaotic event, no doubt!
