User ImagePol was so excited to be on his own, of course it wasn’t forever he was just meant to go out and search the area but this was a big deal to him! He was finally being noticed by his alpha Samhain, that wolf was his hero! If Samhain told him he needed to become stronger then by all means necessary Pol would do his best to go out into the world and become stronger! Not that Sam had told him that in so many words but Pol had made a conscious choice to head out and strengthen himself anyway.

He had left a day or two ago, notified Lilith about his departure and though the very serious female wolf had just given birth she had given him permission to leave on his own! She should really get knocked up more often. Shaking his head of such rude thoughts Pol continued on his adventure wondering if he would meet anyone new, and slightly hoping he wouldn’t have to.

User Image Tomkin was amazing.

She had made her mind up about that at a very early age. She was loyal to the pack she had been born to and that, mixed with her incredible bluntness, love for anything gritty, and general toughness made her formidable.

Er... At least in her mind.

She was still a young and brash thing, one who tended to test the waters with all four feet and still had that wonderful naivety of youth. You know, the one where they tend to think of themselves as immortal and tend to do whatever they feel, with little regard to the fact that they might get themselves killed. It was this sense of immortality that led Tuilinn to leave Tomkin. Not for long, of course. She would return when she thought she was strong enough to prove herself to Aguta as an able-bodied and capable wolf. She really only planned on a brief stint on her own in the wild.

So there she was, plodding along on her own, feeling slight pangs of loneliness, now that she had no siblings to bully or older pack members to pester the living hell out of. The silence was deafening and she was growing bored. And hungry. It would have helped if she were a bit better at hunting her own meals, wouldn't it?

Dashing through the forest Pol quite enjoyed this loneliness, it was kind of relaxing maybe that was why Alpha’s demanded so much time away from their pack to think in peace and plan on their own? But then again Sam was never truly alone now that Draka was back; he had missed his second cousin when she had disappeared. Pol knew what had happened, had liked to have been there to help had done his best to help really even knowing he was so young.

But now he was on his own, able to make choices he knew would be right or wrong and he did in fact have to know between the two. He had to be like Sam, know what could happen and make a choice that would help him and his kind against a fight or an attack; he was just afraid that he would ******** it up somehow.

Suddenly though Pol heard something in the distance, was it another wolf? Crap he wasn’t ready! Should he be on guard? Would Sam be on guard? Stopping Pol could feel his body start to shake, s**t s**t s**t s**t…

‘I can do this!’ No, he really can’t. Such a wuss.

It was as if she was just searching for trouble.

Or something.

She really was on the lonely side, which was unfamiliar to her, so the slightest sound and faint scent of wolf had her attention in an instant. Her head snapped slightly to the right and her dark eyes searched for an inkling of what had caught her senses. It didn't take her long to land on him, with his tawny tan pelt and white marks. He was kind of handsome, or would have been if he didn't look nervous. Nervous was a bad trait, a weak trait, but at the same time it amused her.

The husky, dark pelted adolescent found her paws changing direction as she headed towards him.

"Hey, you!?"

‘Oh crap!’ Pol could feel his blood spike at the sudden encounter; he was not ready for this at all! He thought he was but he wasn’t, he was nothing like Sam his hero and alpha… He was such a fool! Quickly Pol’s legs took control and his body dashed off in the direction he had just come from. This was such a huge mistake, would he even begin to think he was ready to do this on his own without training from Sam himself!

Quickly enough as Pol didn’t take notice in the ground below him his paw get stuck under an uprooted tree stump and soon enough Pol’s landed straight into the dirt his head hitting a rock that was oddly placed in the perfect spot for him to be knocked out.

His sudden departure... Or at least attempt at one, surprised her. She was about to call out again as he twirled around, showing his tail to her in a rather cowardly retreat. She was about to shout again, when he fell. And struck his head. And fell unconscious. It happened swiftly and suddenly, catching her by surprise.

She hurried her pace to catch up with the fallen fellow. While she scorned the fact that he turned and fled, mostly because she was itching for some kind of confrontation and partly because she just found it highly undignified of a male of his size and stature, she was still worried that he might have hurt himself badly. She loomed over his tan and white frame and nudged him with her dark nose.

"Hey... Hey, you alright?" She licked his forehead and ear, trying to wake him. Damn, if her first confrontation ended with her accidentally killing someone that was too afraid to fight, well, that was really nothing to be proud of.

Slowly Pol grumbled, coming to from his deep head wound… The black haze cleared from his vision and all Pol could remember was leaving, how did he get on the ground and why did his head hurt so very much? And then suddenly it all came rushing back in a flash-forward like sequence in which gave him a serious headache, closing his eyes tightly the very light around him added to the throbbing pain in his head.

This wasn’t good; he was weak before a strange wolf he could easily be taken out right now. He had to appear strong, or at least try to.

“Y-yeah… I’m fine.” It took a gulp or two but Pol was able to get the words out, he sounded like a wuss but he was able to get the words out and that’s what matters; to him.

"Good."

She stepped back, giving the young male some space to breathe. His voice sounded faint, but at least he was talking. His head was bleeding and though she knew nothing of healing, she could tell that it could easily have been dangerous. The scent of blood had her slightly on edge with worry, though she did her best to appear nonplussed and almost annoyed with him.

"That was really dumb. Why did you run away and get yourself hurt like that? You should'a not been such a wimp, should'a stood your ground and spoke to me." She muttered bluntly as she did her best to observe his wound from the distance she had put between them. She wasn't really sure just what to do about it, but she felt responsible for him. She'd have to do something and couldn't just leave him here. He might get picked off by something larger.

A bear or something.

They were both still young and, especially wounded, could be easy targets.

Growling Pol wished her could cover his head with his paws, it hurt so much, the pounding wouldn’t stop to let him focus for a second; even the growling hurt. Calming himself Pol slowly did his best to stand up, oh god wrong move! He could feel the world shift under his feet and his balance dropped hell his whole body dropped back to the ground! Panting Pol gently opened his eyes, right away the light beamed against his sensitive pupils making him wince.

This was going to be hard and with all that chatter in the back ground Pol could feel the pounding worsen.

“Will you please… Just for one moment… Shut the hell up!” His growling came back but at least some pressure was relieves at finally being able to get that off his chest. This girl though she could just boss him around, did she KNOW how painful this was to deal with?

She was slightly taken aback by his sharp words. Had he not been hurt, she probably would have taken the opportunity to jump him and give him a what for, at least to her best capabilities. She thought she could take him. Then again, she was bad at picking who she could and who she couldn't, sometimes. In this case, though, she was confident. Her hackles bristled and a scowl crossed her dark maw in response to his growling and a savage rumble built up in her own throat, though she knew she wouldn't strike out at him, given his state.

"Boy, if you hadn't gone and messed yourself up, I'd teach you a lesson. Sure would. Now, what's your name and where d'you hail from? Or you just some scrawny loner what doesn't have a pack?" She bluntly demanded information from him, in hopes of prying enough to get him help. A loner... Well, she wasn't sure what she would do with a loner. But if he belonged to a pack, maybe they could use him for bargaining and making peace.

Rolling his eyes, which also hurt to do, Pol slowly slide into a sitting position; too high too high! His balance tilted and he swayed to the ground again, this time he was able to catch himself though. Panting the lighter wolf shook a bit with the amount of pain running through his body, it was so new to him being in this much pain and still having to defend yourself. Taking a deep breath Pol wished he could just lash out at the female to shut up again, but once was enough for his anger that first time was still thumbing through him.

“My name’s Pol” pant, “and with manners like that your name must be something assholes would only ever think of.” Wait did he say that last part out loud? s**t! He had just meant to think it, hell he usually wouldn’t even think stuff like that!

“O-w crap… I-” but before he could apologize another round of pain shot through him making his whole body spasm before falling to the ground again; not that he had far to fall.

Her ears flattened and a snarl ripped from her scowling maw. Ooooooh! How she wanted to pounce him and give him a hard bite or two. It was hardly a brave thing, beating up an injured wolf. She had to keep reminding herself of that as she struggled to control her building temper. Pol was certainly trying her.

"I oughta rip you a new one, but their ain't no pride in beating down a lame wolf." She grumbled, glowering at him. "And it's Tuilinn. Now, where do you belong? Or should I just leave you out here to flounder about like a fish out of water?" That idea was very tempting... But maybe if she did some good, it would reflect on her strength of character.

Right?

She sure as hell hoped so. This seemed like it would be annoying. She did try to remind herself that he was in pain. Still, he seemed as though he wanted to butt heads, even if he truly didn't.

After the short spasm fit Pol was able to finally focus a bit, even knowing it was painful at least he was able to look this other wolf in the eye and correct her manners.

’There isn’t any honor in taking advantage of an injured wolf.'” Her spoken word was such an issue to Pol, if she wanted to insult him she was doing a mighty fine way of slaughtering their language.

Slowly Pol did his best to get into a sitting position again, he realized though once he got into one he would surely need help standing and walking back to his pack; he sure as hell wasn’t going to walk back to this wolf’s pack by the sound of it they were all rude and would pick a fight with everything Pol said.

“I’m from the pack called Hallow Earth.”

"Who said I was taking advantage of you? I'm trying to help you. I can leave you here if you like, however." She snorted indignantly, but she bit back her temper as hard as she could. Her head and tail were arched high, but her hackles were relaxing. Her dark, narrowed eyes flitted across the unsteady, damaged adolescent. He was hardly any older than her, probably not any more experienced, and she didn't want some needless death on her paws.

And... Hollow Earth sounded familiar. She was sure she had caught the name in the voices of the adults in the pack once or twice, but she couldn't quite place it otherwise. She didn't know the way there, either, but was well aware that she could find her way back to Tomkin within a day, er... Two, if he slowed her up. And from his injuries, it seemed like he would.

Still, she didn't have the heart to just leave him.

Sighing Pol knew he would have to suck it up for now and allow the female her rude manners and get her to help him somehow. He could feel the blood on his head start to drop down his neck, he knew head wounds bleed a lot more than they should and so lead others on to believe that they were more hurt then they really were… But thankfully Pol knew better! Even as the thought passed Pol could feel his heart pick up in worry, was he going to be dying from blood loss and only have this rude female to help him? He would never be able to see his sister, or prove his worth to his Alpha…

“Help me up.” Growling Pol looked to the female angrily, he had to get up and get moving to a pack soon he could feel his body start to lighten with the first signs of too much blood loss; or he just might be a real big wuss and faint at the thought of blood gushing out of his head.
