A slender hand reached up to brush the long, pink locks from his brilliant eyes as Anoki looked out over the waterfall, listening to the water as it crashed to the bottom and allowing his thoughts to wander. It had been a few days since he had last met with any of his friends - well, the one friend he thought he had and the one he was trying to make friends with. The last time Anoki had met with the Squirtle it had been a disaster - Caellum had been fried thoroughly by Kazuya and to avoid a confrontation, Anoki had not tried to stop him when he had tossed Caellum out a window. Instead, Deimos had flown out after him and rescued him. And Anoki had cried for Caellum, not just because he had been worried he had lost a friend, but because he felt like he should have been able to do more to have prevented what had happened. It wasn't something he could change, though, and the Mew decided that he would have to make sure to take Caellum some daisies to make up for it.
The crystals that adorned the back of his outfit clinked together musically as the wind picked up and blew his hair into his face once more. Though it was tempting to create a pink bubble around him to prevent the wind from further ruffling his outfit or his hair, Anoki did not. Instead, he floated cross-legged just a couple of feet above the ground, allowing the lengthy material in back to float outwards like the train of a dress might if it were billowed by the wind. His thoughts wandered over many things and he wondered how the others were doing. Anoki had tried to steer clear of everyone for a few days and while he was gone he had grown up some. Inside he was still the same Mew, but outward he had grown. It made him wonder how the others would view him. Would Caellum still be his friend? Did Deimos still find him scary in appearance? Would Hector still give him those lollipops that had tasted so delicious? And just as importantly - would Kazuya still dismiss him so off hand?
Anoki remembered what he had been told by Deimos about the Persian, but he still couldn't help but wonder if maybe some flowers would help cheer him up. Maybe, all Kazuya needed, was someone who was his friend without wanting anything in return. But then, wasn't that what Deimos was? Kazuya's friend? The Mew shook his head slightly, he hadn't really spent much time with anyone and didn't understand the relationships every had. Perhaps he should read that book on Sociology, surely he would have to in class anyway. Caellum had said he would read it when he was older, perhaps now was as good a time as any.
He smiled, then, as the sun peeked out of the tops of the trees and shone down on the area he was in. Unable to resist the urge to stretch out, Anoki leaned back and shut his eyes when the sun glared down into them. The warmth was pleasant and though he knew he looked silly stretched out in mid-air and his legs still cross-legged he did it anyway. It was comfortable and the sun felt good against his face and shoulders. Besides, it wasn't like anyone was going to be around to see him and even if they were, and he didn't know them, he could always turn invisible and watch them from afar to see if they were friendly or not.

When it came to Arcana as a school it was ridiculously difficult to find a quiet place to study. Even his dorm was noisy, mostly due to his wonderful neighbors that liked to keep everyone in a three hundred and sixty degree radius awake until at least three in the morning every night. Thus, to avoid the steady thump of bad pop music and socializing with an air-headed Butterfree or Flaafy, Caellum had packed his backpack with his books and necessary materials and had headed towards the waterfall.
Some might insist that a waterfall wasn't really one of the most quiet of places to study, but he begged to differ. The squirtle loved water, and there was this wonderful rock he liked to sit on that had just enough space for him to sit comfortably and lay his materials out. The borderline deafening drum of the waterfall simply served to relax him, all because he was surrounded by water and away from anyone else.
Or so he thought at least. Caellum blinked and slowly lifted his head when movement caught his attention, his entire body immediately going rigid. Was it too much to ask to have some solitude and peace to study at a school? However what he saw made his eyes widen a little, his anger failing him as he scanned over the hovering... Boy? Girl? It was difficult to say. It looked like both and neither, but the pink made him lean a little towards girl.
He stared at the person, watching them float for a moment before quickly shaking his head; he'd never really seen many girls in Arcana... And if he did they are absolute idiots. However... Blue eyes slid to the pink tail, slowly blinking at it; Mew tail. He continued to stare for a long moment before his eyes immediately widened in shock. No way. It couldn't be.
Quickly his mind went from option to option; should he call out to the mew to check? Maybe it was another mew... Then again mews were incredibly rare, so rare that he doubted that there would be another in Arcana at all. It had to be Anoki... But.. It really... really didn't look like him. Finally after a few moments of stunned silence he called out to the mew, making sure his voice carried over the drum of the waterfall.
"Hey!" he called, watching the pink-clad pokemon warily. "Shouldn't you be in class?"

The warmth of the sun against Anoki's skin as he laid in the air quieted his mind until he had nearly fallen asleep from the lullaby of the waterfalls. He doubted many people would think of them as musical, but he did and their sound was enough to lull him to a nice, quiet nap. Anoki's mind began to wander as his brain stepped into the first stage of the dream realm and the people he had met and his version of those he had yet to meet came to mind. In this dream everyone got along and no one fought, Kazuya seemed pleasant - or as pleasant as Anoki's imagination could make him - and even Deimos and Caellum were able to smile at one another as friends. This dream combined with the loud sounds of the waterfall kept the Mew from hearing the approach of the newcomer as his body bobbed up and down in the air.
So it was with much surprise when he heard the voice that he floated himself upside down to take a look at them while he blinked his eyes repeatedly to get the sleep out of them. It took only a few seconds for the newly grown Anoki to realize that his body was really much too long to pull off the upside down look and the clothes he wore were too ornate and long to handle it for more than a handful of seconds. In the time it took him to quickly flip over and turn so that he was facing the newcomer his brain managed to wake up and a broad smile grew on his face as he quickly floated over to envelop his friend in a hug.
Anoki was happy his arms were long enough to neatly wrap around Caellum to give him a proper hug for once and so threw his arms around the Squirtle without thinking about whether or not he might be recognized. Once he had thoroughly squished Caellum in welcome and surprise, he floated back and grinned once more as he cast a wry glance at the other's backpack, "I could say the same to you, you know!"
He looked his friend over and smiled before floating to the ground so that he could stand before Caellum and twirled around, giggling just a little as the crystals again made their musical twinkling noise. "Did you recognize me?"

Bright blue eyes watched the mew as he awakened, one brow slowly lifting as he flipped upside down. His clothing was so... large. He continued to watch as the other pokemon righted himself and turned to float over to him. However, despite his suspicions as to who this mew was, he was still caught off guard when slender arms wrapped around him, embarassed heat immediately rising in his cheeks.
Caellum stared at Anoki in stunned silence as he spoke, his eyes raking over him. If he hadn't known any better, he would have sworn that the mew was a girl. His attire was effeminate, his features androgynous, his hair long. Finally he rolled his eyes in response, shaking his head at that.
"I'm studying." he muttered, still staring at Anoki as if he were the oddest thing he'd seen all day.
Caellum watched the Mew twirl before him, blinking slowly as he noted how intricate and... Large his attire was. And how had Anoki grown up so fast? It was definitely a mystery and one he wasn't sure he wanted the answer to. At his question the Squirtle looked up to meet his eyes, blinking slowly before shrugging.
"Of course I did." he muttered, despite his initial difficulty in recognizing him.

Anoki did not catch Caellum when he blushed and was quite oblivious to the added color to his friend's cheeks. In fact, the Mew didn't worry at all until the responses were muttered, uncharacteristically as far as Anoki was concerned. He slipped his hands behind his back as he leaned forward to better peer at his friend while his disconcertingly bright eyes tried to discern what the problem was. If nothing else he figured staring back at Caellum might at least help him stop staring at him unless there was dirt on his outfit or something about him looked bizarre? That would certainly explain why his friend couldn't stop staring at him.
Suddenly unsure, Anoki's stare changed from one of trying to figure out what was going on to confused as he raised his arms to check for dirt spots, "Why are you staring? Do I have something on me?" In an attempt to look at his backside to check for dirt he twisted his head as far behind him as he could and turned around only succeeding in making himself look comical rather than able to actually see the back of his outfit. A little annoyed with himself for acting so silly before remembering he could always just move the fabric to a more visible location or ask for help in the matter and, failing to see anything strange when he pulled the material to the side finally sighed and surrendered to Caellum, "Because if I do, I can't find it."
The young mew turned around once more so that Caellum could look at his backside properly and turned his head to look back at him, "Where's the dirt? Can you brush it off?" For he was still too naive to realize that it was his appearance that was causing Caellum to stare and thought that something must be wrong with him. Clearly something was out of place or he just looked silly to the other. This whole staring thing people had been doing since he grew threw him off.
A little belatedly as if he only just realized that he had forgotten to reply to the muttered answers he added, with a sly smile and an awkward nod to the backpack, "How are you studying if your books are in your bag?" It wasn't so much he was trying to be rude, but more that he was actually genuinely curious how Caellum was studying without any materials visible.

Caellum blinked as the mew leaned into his personal space, instinctively leaning back a little and blinking slowly. Did he not understand that he had... Changed quite a bit since they had last seen each other? Then again he supposed that it was Anoki, who never seemed all that interested in himself and far more intrigued with others. The other man seemed to acknowledge his change but seemed to pay it no mind as if it happened every day... And sometimes it did... With other Pokemon... But...
The squirtle slowly arched a brow as Anoki twisted around, peering at himself as if he was looking for something. At his question he blinked slowly in response before slowly shaking his head. No, Anoki really didn't get that he'd undergone one of the most dramatic changes that Caellum had ever seen. How... Weird.
"Ah... No, no dirt... It's just..." he gestured to his new, more mature form. "...You grew up."
That was the best way that he could thing to describe to the other man why he was staring without admitting he had at first thought the Mew was a girl with how pretty he was. Mentally he winced at that before quickly welcoming the distraction of the Mew pointing out his unopened bag; he really didn't want to analyze what thinking the mew was 'pretty' meant.
"I was getting ready to study." he muttered, reaching over to begin rummaging through his bag.

It confused the Mew how careful Caellum seemed to be acting around him. Was his growing up bad? Did he look bizarre? Was he missing something important on his body? Anoki was certain that his body had all four - five - limbs if he counted his tail, so what would make people stare at him so? Anoki relaxed considerably when the Squirtle told him there was no dirt on his clothes and moved to a more relaxed floating stance with his feet just an inch or two above the ground, not really wanting to put himself high above Caellum and his tail swishing back and forth idly. At his friend's gesture he grinned and looked down, nodding before his eyes twinkled in amusement as it finally clicked in his brain why Caellum might be staring at him, "Yes! I grew up!"
Once more he leaned forward, though not so close as to invade obviously into the other pokemon's personal bubble and giggled, "Does it surprise you I'm bigger now?" Maybe people were just used to him being a tiny Mew that now that he was closer to their age it threw them off. This made sense to Anoki though he didn't quite understand why it would confuse people. While the Mew had looked at himself in the mirror since he grew up he did not realize there had been any great changes made. As far as he was concerned he had gotten taller, his limbs longer, but he was still Anoki after all.
Ever the curious being, Anoki immediately floated closer to try and peer into the mysterious bag, wanting to see exactly what was in it as Caellum dug through it. The Mew had yet to float into the classrooms or really attend any classes, let alone do any studying, so he wasn't really sure what exactly was involved in the whole studying process. He was also entirely unaware of the fact that his very close proximity to his friend was at all within the personal space most people preferred to have between them and the person they were talking to. As far as Anoki was truly concerned - there were no personal boundaries unless someone specifically told him to 'stay away', so he hovered close not quite wanting to put his own hands into the bag as he inquired, "What're you going to study today, Caellum?"
With a smile he glanced back up at his friend, his eyes wide with curiosity and intrigue at the thought of learning things or maybe even getting to know the Squirtle better.

Anoki was by far one of the most innocent and borderline carefree people he had ever met. Most likely the Mew honestly didn't think that him growing up was that much of a change or would cause people to look at him differently. To him, he was just... Anoki it seemed, no matter what the packaging on the outside looked like. It was actually... Rather endearing and refreshing to meet someone that didn't really care about appearances, didn't care about anything other than being themselves. Most of the school was filled with clique-ish assholes who didn't want anything to do with anyone that wasn't 'pretty'.
Caellum blinked up at the mew when he leaned in towards him, a look of mild amusement crossing his features; Yeah, same old Anoki, alright. "Of course it does." he retorted, shaking his head. "I almost didn't recognize you."
He glanced up from rummaging through his back when he noticed movement out of the corner of his brow, arching a brow at Anoki before going back to retrieving necessary items from his backpack. First came his cigarettes and lighter, set carefully aside on the rock to make sure they didn't get wet. Next came his notebook and a pencil for taking necessary notes while he studied and worked on that god-forsaken project he had to do; He hated group projects. Next came his thick history book which he set aside next to the notebook before turning his head to glance back at Anoki.
Caellum immediately jumped upon noticing how close the other man was, "Jesus." he muttered, his eyes widening before narrowing and a soft sigh passing his lips. "I'm studying History."

It made Anoki happy that Caellum wasn't bothered when he leaned in closer. At least he was still the Mew's friend even if Deimos seemed put off even more so by him now than before. What did surprise him, however, was that his friend almost hadn't recognized him. With what could only be seen as a mischievous grin he gave another twirl and gestured at his long, pink garments, "I would have thought my pink outfit would have been a dead giveaway!" He had, after all, worn pink as a child and it had been long and flowing given his size. So as far as he was concerned, this was just that made more ornate and fun. Plus, now he had pants so if he got too hot he could remove to top outer garment and not have to worry about running around nude.
His long tail gave an amusing twitch as a brow was arched at him, but he said nothing, too intent was he on what was in the backpack to really mind the look. He did give a glance of consternation at the cigarettes as they were pulled out - they smelled funny and he didn't like them when they burned his nose. But if Caellum enjoyed them, then he wouldn't say a word about it. Anything that made his friend happy made him happy, whether he liked or approved of it or not.
Anoki was just starting to grow bored with watching Caellum hunt through his backpack, not really interested in the things that were being taken out and slightly miffed that there was no candy to be found when he noticed Caellum jump. More than a little surprised, he floated a half step backward and his eyes grew wide as he stared at his friend. Had he scared him? Gotten too close? Not really sure, he breathed a small sigh of relief when Caellum didn't yell at him or throw things, and instead answered his question. The Mew kept his distance, however, such as it was and tilted his head in curiosity, "The history of what?" There were many things that had a history and he just didn't see how you could study the history of everything all at once.
Even as the wind ruffled his hair and made the crystals twinkle lightly at his back, he turned and floated himself into a sitting position so that he could better watch and talk to the Squirtle as he studied. In his usual cross-legged position he sat with his elbows propped on his knees and his hands folded in his lap while his tail flicked back and forth steadily as he hovered, still unsure if he should stay near Caellum or back off some. Confrontation was something he hated and he didn't want to upset his friend by doing something silly like being too close to him or things like that. But he wouldn't ask if he'd upset him, not yet.

Of course Anoki would think that it would be obvious to identify him simply by the color of his clothes, not thinking about how so many others worse pink. Amused, Caellum moved to settle the history book in his lap, his eyes lifting to peer at the mew from over his sunglasses. While the other man seemed to be predictable on the outside, what with him exuding naivete, he was surprisingly hard to read and understand. Many of the things Anoki did, both as child and as adult, never failed to puzzle him, and what the other man didn't understand only seemed to further perplex him. Perhaps Anoki was simply more complex than he seemed? It was difficult to say for certain.
"Well... Other people wear pink." he muttered, looking down as he began to flip through the book, reaching out to open his notebook and grab his pencil. "Besides... Haven't really seen you around school."
At the next question he lifted a brow, looking confused as he stared up at the other man. Perhaps Anoki hadn't even really seen the inside of the school, let alone been to any of the classes there. It would certainly explain why he was still so naive about well... Most things that came to dealing with people. Most of his classmates would probably fawn over him and tell him how pretty he was and he'd develop and horrible ego... Maybe it was a good thing that Anoki didn't attend classes just yet.
"Ah... World history." he answered, slowly looking back to his book, slipping his notebook a little closer as he began to prepare to take notes. "But it's focused on a couple specific areas at the moment."
Caellum looked back to the book in his lap, reading over the words a few times before slowly looking up at Anoki, blinking slowly. Was the other man... Watching him study? For some reason it seemed a little bit more unnerving now that the Mew was an adult than when he was a child. At least with children one could always assume innocence, could always assume that a child was fairly ignorant and naive... However he no longer had that slight edge with Anoki and he wasn't quite sure how he felt about it.

Anoki couldn't help but giggle just a little when Caellum muttered that others wore the same color he did. But he'd never seen anyone where as much as he did, so he figured at the very least the intense amount of it would be a good tip off. Though a grin quickly grew on his face at the Squirtle's mention he hadn't seen him around school and he laughed, covering his mouth slightly with his hand in amusement as he did so, "That's because I haven't been into the school yet!" The Mew knew he should go to school but he just never felt like it. Something about not being able to float where he wanted, when he wanted to bothered him about the place and so he had instead made himself busy with observing the animals and spending lots of time floating about outside. It was perhaps not the best way to educate one's self, but he hoped it would be enough. Besides, he figured he could always bother Caellum for information if need be.
At the mention of world history the young Mew floated a little closer to Caellum, straining his neck as if he thought he might be able to read the words in the book from afar and upside down. Though he wasn't successful in the endeavor, he nodded simply, "World history is good. Do you like the class?" Maybe if Caellum liked it, Anoki would try to attend one of the classes someday. Then he'd at least know someone there - unless he got put into a different class. That thought bothered him and a slight frown touched his lips before he noticed that Caellum had looked back up at him and he grinned rather innocently. He wasn't sure he was being looked at because Caellum had a question to ask, or he was floating too close, or perhaps even his staring had garnered bad attention so he tilted his head to one side and waved, "Am I bothering you...?"

Deep down Caellum should have known better than to expect Anoki to behave normally when it came to school or classes. For all he knew the Mew probably didn't even live in the dorms like a normal students. He heard that most legendary Pokemon did have a tendency to be a bit... Eccentric, but he hoped it didn't end up being a negative eccentricity. There were plenty of other crazy Pokemon running around the school; he didn't need one more terrorizing him, that was for sure.
"You're a delinquent." he muttered, shaking his head and tapping his bottom lip with his pencil. "You should go to school. It's useful."
At the comment about world history Caellum nodded, his bright blue eyes moving back to the pages of his book. He did enjoy history quite a bit, but he enjoyed science and philosophy far more. At least it wasn't math that he had to study for, because it really wasn't his thing. Yes, the Squirtle was good at all of his subjects and made it a practice to study them all equally, he truly disliked constantly crunching numbers and mapping out equations across an entire sheet of paper. Most of the time showing all his work simply made things more tedious and aggravating. However pair math with science and... Well... He enjoyed it just a little bit.
Caellum's eyes lifted from the pages of his book at Anoki's question, blinking slowly in response before he shrugged. "No, not really."
