(Was changing my status around, and decided this might make a good Parlor thread.) In short, describe in detail your best day ever, and comment on that of others. The definition of "Best Day Ever" is entirely up to you. Now, Allow me to start. -------------------------------------------------------------
Picture this... a car parked on a dirt road some ways away. It has lunch packed away in it, as well as a blanket, and some other things. There is a tree, standing upon a grassy hill, in the middle of a field. Off in the distance, there is a forest, and further off, snow-capped mountains. You can see waterfalls down the sides of them. There is a light breeze blowing... It's a little cold, but she's warm, held in my arms, and I'm warm too, sitting against the tree, holding her. Not just my body; my heart is warmer than my flesh.
We stay there and while away the day, talking about this and that, laughing, smiling, happy. Some time near noon, the breeze is warm, and she and I fall asleep against that tree. Hours later, My eyes open. I don't move, not wanting to disturb her. So, I sit in happiness and peace, until she finally opens her eyes and says, "I'm hungry."
We eat in the car with music playing. Calm music, and happy tunes, lyrics to make you smile. When we're done, we take a walk through the forest. Birds fly here and there, we laugh and marvel at what we see... We return just before sunset. We go to the tree and sit again, facing the west, and watch the sun set, together.
Setting sun, a light breeze, grass and trees, and, most importantly...
Her.

Hmm... I think my best was one where a simple gesture ended in bliss..
A friend of mine was having a really hard time.. She felt down on her luck and as if no one cared. So I took it into my hands to do something..
One bike. A fully loaded iPod. And five miles to cross in the next twenty minutes.
I rode as fast as I could, simply wanting to get to her and put a smile on her face, even if it only lasted for as long as I was there.. I showed up at her door as she was getting home. I walked up and gave her a hug, she laughed a little, looked up and smiled. As the after noon went on, she didn't want me to go. She held onto my hand softly, our fingers intertwined. She couldn't stop smiling.
And for at least that one day, neither could I.

Honestly? I don't have one. When I feel as though I need a good day to come my way I try to make them happen. No one of them surpasses the others, because they're all different situations. Most people would say spending time with the one they love is what makes their day perfect, but I love many people on many different levels of the word. Sometimes all it takes to brighten my night is to see the smile of someone I love like a sister. Or see someone I consider a close friend succeed at something they tried hard to do for a long time.
I don't have a prefect day. I have many good ones.
A quick flash of peraly white to form a familiar awkward smile. The bright shine of eyes the show happiness. A innocent giggle after an outrageous joke. That is all I need to have a good day.

Getting punched in the face by mygirlfriend's dad because I kissed her in front of him when I was 14? Win. Especially because it was my first kiss, AND he's a drill sergeant.

Hmph. A Perfect day? They do not exist for me. I have had a couple good ones here and there, but they are sparse and far apart. The closest thing I could possibly imagine would be this: (And this is only my theoretical perfect day, it has never happened to me)
I wake up in the morning, actually refreshed and ready to seize the day, none of the early-morning tiredness that keeps me sluggish until 2 PM. I would make myself a full breakfast (Because my mom never will) of bacon and eggs, a bagel, and If I was sill peckish, mayhaps a bowl of cereal. I would sit down and read the paper, and there would be no news of murder or war or a failing economy (Also most likely won't happen).
After reading the paper and eating my morning meal, I would go to the computer and check upon Gaia, perhaps fill out a roleplaying response if it so suited me, and read new updates to my two webcomics I check up on.
By noon, I would go outside and do something physical. Ride my bike, shoot some hoops (Missing a lot, obviously. I have terrible depth perception) or maybe play with the other kids on my street (They are all younger than me, so I have to amuse them and play nice). Maybe a combination of the three. At around 2 PM, I would hop onto my bike, and go down to the plaza a mile away, and pick myself up some lunch. Probably Subway. I would bike back to my house, and sit in the sideyard, eating my subway and reading a book (A new one, that I've never read before. Maybe the fourth book of the Inheritance Cycle?) After lunch and a few book chapters, I would settle down and play some video games.
Around 8:00, I would make myself something simple but delicious for dinner, and watch a movie. After the movie is over, I will retire to my bedchamber, and continue reading the book from earlier that day until I feel tired, at which point I shall slumber peacefully until the next day.
