It's for a video, actually. The video is for this media camp I'm at, and I'm working in an all but illiterate group whose members keep screwing with the script. Not only that, but I'm out of inspiration for it.
So, I was wondering if you'd give me some advice on what to add or remove. (the text in all Caps is the reporter and the things within quotation marks are quotes from the interviews we did, the most relevant ones.)

Beginning
TOBY Crossman(Ruby’s mom)-
"I have two beautiful daughters who
are wonderfully intelligent, very
individual, and I'm very proud of them."

CRYSTAL:
"My first impression of Ruby was that she was -
I knew from the first time that she was a
studious person who love to read and when I first
saw her she was reading a novel so I thought
a new friend (laughing)"

CAYLA:
"Before I found out her past I thought Ruby had
a really good life because she was well mannered,
she was nice, and she was really smart."

RUBY MAY SEEM LIKE THE TYPICAL
PRETEEN, BUT FIRST IMPRESSIONS
CAN BE DECEIVING.
HER PAST IS CERTAINLY NOT TYPICAL.

Middle
Ruby-
"He was abusive and he kept trying to kill her and
beating us and it was just not a good situation for
anyone. He would beat us with like another belt or his hands or he would just like leave us there unattended in the house and calls us names , I really have no idea why someone would do that"
