Tori had made an honest effort in cleaning Philip's house. But looking at all of the blood made her nauseous all over again. It was like reliving the day she had woke up to it. Within an hour she was giving up. She stood at the pristine white sink and watched as the red water went down the drain.
She had to be strong for her little ones. She'd only recently found out it was two... this made cleaning up this house all the more important. She needed help but was unsure of who to call. She couldn't call Kay because she wanted to be independent and prove she could do this by her self. If she called Evari they probably wouldn't get anything done, not that she'd complain in the end. Then it dawned on her. Carina.
Carina was just the person to help her. She dried her hands and dug around in her bag for her cell phone.

"Pick you up in half an hour?"

Carina waited at the end of her driveway for Tori. It wasn't often that she was called upon to be supportive to someone older than her. Still Tori had been upset and had wanted her of all people and Carina had agreed right away to help her. The young curio knew this was going to be weird and creepy and she was probably gonna cry too at some point but you didn't say know to your friends when they really needed you. You sucked it up and did what was right.
Carina could do that, she could be strong for Victoria. She;d try her hardest to be that way anyways.

"Thank you so, so much!" She said as she climbed out of the car and quickly approached her friend. If Tori had, had it in her she would have lifted her friend off the ground and spun her around as thanks for helping her out... but, well due to obvious reasons she wasn't up to it. Instead she settled for a tight hug.
"Come on," she said as she pulled her friend towards the car. The driver giving them both a look. "This really means a lot to me," she said a she wiped the back of her hand across her cheeks. "I don't know what I'd do if this house cannot be cleaned..."

Carina stared at Tori, she was.. she was not the strong girl that she remembered. Well she was but she didn't look that way right now or sound it either. For the moment all Carina could do was hug her back as tight as she felt was safe and then follow her to the car.
Once she'd climbed into the car Carina reached over and squeezed her friend's hand." We'll do it and if we can't then purple can try." The nutbar had been left behind today becuase he didn't understand emotions at all. Still he did have weird powers that might be helpful later. " And" she continued softly, "if that doesn't work then I will buy you a new house even if i have to sell all my stuff." She loved her stuff, loved her special tea set and her engraved pens and fancy rugs and she could live without them if it meant she never had to see tori cry again becuase that was just wrong.

Tori, as gently as possible, squeezed Carina's hand in return but then she pulled her friend into a hug. She knew that her ties with her friend ran deep but she never realized just how deep until this moment.
"You're tea sets and things are as precious to you as my violins... I cannot ask you to part with your things that mean so much when I myself cannot part with my things that mean so much." She straightened back up and looked Carina in the eyes. "I am sure between you and me and possibly purple we'll manage... I just feel so silly that I am so helpless when it comes to this..."
She reached into one of the compartments for a tissue. Thankfully she didn't wear make up... so the worst part of her face was the puffy red cheeks and bloody shot eyes. She used the tissue to try and dry up a few of the tears...

Carina shivered but there was still a determined look in her pinkish purple eyes. "It's not silly," she assured her friend "I wouldn't do it alone." Faced with that sort of problem on her own Carina would have found some way to pass the job onto someone else, someone who didn't mind that sort of thing.

"I don't think I'll ever be able to say thank you enough," Tori said softly as she squeezed Carina's hand again.
There hadn't been a house for miles as they pulled down this empty stretch of road. It wasn't to far down from there that the house came into view and the driver was pulling into the drive way. At first glance nothing looked wrong with the house unless you counted the mounds of dirt that were obviously poorly done graves. The house was moderately big. It was two stories with a wrap around porch on the second level. A study, a dinning room, a living room, three bedrooms with attached baths, a kitchen, and an attic.
"Well, here we are..." Tori sighed and looked down at her knees. She hated to get out of the car and even more she hated walking through the front door.

To steady her nerves Carina reached up to fiddle with the knobs on her forehead. She had no idea why doing so released tension in her as well as adding new markings to her body but it was a tried and true method and had been for as long as she could remember.
"The more we wait the scarier it gets," Carina pointed out. anticipation could be a bad thing as well as a good one.

"You've got a point," Tori said as the driver opened the door. She smiled and thanked him before turning around to help Carina. "I acquired him with the house... he's a nice fellow."
The driver bowed at the waist to the little girl who was just climbing out of the limo. He straighten up and turned to Tori. "I'll be around back, Miss."
"Alright," Tori said as she grabbed her friends hand and tugged her towards the door. "I don't think I'll ever get use to him," she whispered. It took her a moment to find her key in her purse. She swore she'd clean it out soon considering she'd need baby things in there.

"Staff can be nice and if he didn't run away after.. you know, then he's loyal" Loyalty being rather important to the girl she approved of the driver already. of course he might just be magically bound to the house and it's owner or something but that was a far less pleasant thought. Carina liked the idea of staff but not of slaves.
As she waited for Tori to find her key, the younger curio pressed a hand to the front door as if trying to get a feel for the building. She wasn't a telepathy or esper or anything but she would certainly feel if the house was evil right? When nothing assaulted her mind Carina gave a soft whisper of "it's just a house."

"Staff is a good thing," Tori nodded her head as she pulled out her key. "I plan to hire a maid and a nanny... other wise I just don't think there would be enough of me to go around."
"It's just a house now... but you haven't seen the inside..." she hated to be a 'party popper' and the 'buster of bubbles' but she was only speaking truth. She unlocked the door and pushed it open.
Tori who loved blood couldn't handle it. She closed her eyes as she opened the door for her friend. She had only been back once she she'd left. And, still she swore it worse than the last time, if that was possible. "This is about as good as it gets... unless you go to the bathroom... somehow that is still pristine."

There was blood streaks on the stairs like something or someone had been dragged up and down them. That was about all Carina could see, others rooms branched off from here but weren't really in view. Besides that she couldn't stop staring at the blood and she wasn't ashamed to admit that her legs wobbled a little. If this wasn't that bad then the rest of the house had to be drenched in the blood and oh wouldn't it just be smarter to burn the place down and salt the earth. Carina remembered that was what you did to evil places and she was pretty sure this was damn close to evil.
"We" she began with a shaky breath. " We need gloves and a hose." She wasn't touching that blood with her bare hands, you got diseases that way and hoses had pressure settings and that could be like scrubbing. It wouldn't work for everywhere but maybe just for the stairs, if Victoria didn't mind a lot or toweling up water later. " Or at least a mop," because that would be easier and get less water everywhere.
Carina was trying so hard to be bra and practical becuase she had nothing else right now. Even so her voice kept breaking and she was shaking quite a bit. This was harder than she had ever imagined and it was just the start. She was shocked and a little awed that Victoria had even been to ever be in the house alone.

Tori took several deep breaths as she took her friends hand and gave it a squeeze. "We'll find those things in the kitchen..."
There wasn't an ounce of her that didn't shake. Tears formed in the corners of her eyes as she glanced in the direction of the study. She looked down at her free hand and could see a steady drip of blood. She had to blink several times. This place made her remember what she remember that she'd purposely forgotten so that she could live her life.
"This way," Tori whispered as she pulled her friend in the opposite direction. Just standing in the kitchen let you see the evidence that Tori had attempted to clean the house by herself. The bucket with bloody water and dirty rag still sat in the center of the floor. Around the bucket was semi wet watered down blood.
"I could have opted for the space above my uncles cafe. Where we use to live. But, I couldn't except a hand out. I refused to let them think that I couldn't make it on my own... If it is really that bad I guess I can accept the hand out." She was always strong and hated to admit defeat. Starting now would be even more devastating than having to clean this house. If she thought herself weak she might resort to being a shut in again, and that was the last thing that she needed to do considering she was bringing life into this world.

There were no words for the amount of gross that was this house. Carina was pretty positive that if she hadn't heard and understood just how much Tori needed to be able to reclaim it for herself she'd have just run away. To be honest the girl wasn't sure she couldn't run out crying and maybe puking at some pint. As it was she was barely holding back bile and being strong. If they stayed close to each other and worked on one room at a time they could hopefully get through this without actually thinking about it too much.
" Don't give up yet," Carina said, voice still shaky but determined. She ventured forward into the Kitchen and managed to keep her coo long enough to slip on a pair of gloves and go about starting to empty the current bucket of bloody water. It might not have been used too much but fresh water would smell nicer and make her feel just a bit better for a few minutes.

"I'm really sorry..." Tori felt as if she'd done a terrible thing all over again. She was starting to doubt her decission in asking Carina to help. This place was a disaster. It was 'destroying' her for her own reasons and she couldn't help but to feel that the house was doing the same to her friend...
"There's bleach under the counter," she said as she watched Carina dumb the bucket of bloody water. "Perhaps I should have hired professions... but then they'd be wondering what the hell happened," she sighed. It was evident just how hopeless she felt. Her expression gave way to how helpless she felt.
