Lacy smiled "it was a pleasure meeting you Mr. Graham." she reached in her pocket and pulled out her key and soon had the door open to a white room. Boxes were still stacked around and the only thing rwalky set up was the kitchen and bedroom. Still it was a bright room, one that held soloce from everyday activities. Lacy preferred it thaf way. Turning over a new leaf and all. "would you like to come in? I make a mean cup if coffee." she said remembering his earlier comment.

Devlin opening smiled a very large and warm one at her question and blinked a couple times "Of, course Any mean coffee is good coffee in my book, and I can't turn it down." he said grinning and thankful that she invited him into her home. "And it looks like you could use some help unpacking as well." he said smiling and looking around.

Lacy chuckled and lead him through the room to the kitchen. "yes, well, I take my job very seriously. As you can see I haven't had much time for unpacking." the coffee pot flew out of one of the open boxes on the counter over to the tap and filled itself with water. "I'll get to it eventually" Lacy went to the cupboard calling to Devlin "make yourelf at home." the tap turned off and the coffee pot flew over to the stove which had turned itself on and waited for Lacy's return. Two chairs at the table pulled out for use

Chuckling he shook his head and sat down on one of the chairs in the living room "Well, it certainly is much more than I can account for, a cot folding chairs and a duffel bag are all I have back home." he said slowly

Lacy poked her head out from the pantry finally finding what she was looking for. "why's that?" she questioned setting the coffee mix next to the stove as she went to the front door and took of her white lab coat. Lacy hadn't seen much of his memories, only the ones that held the most pain. The follow up to how he was doing amd his living conditions was a complete mystery to her. She returned to the kitchen. "can I get you anything else?" she offered

He smiled and just shrugged "Anything else I could desire right now I'm sure a doctor like yourself would frown on me having." he said referring to his smoking habit. as he sat and got comfortable he thought for a moment "Well, simple enough I came here with basically all I had, it's common knowledge I've been in the military for 20 years, so all i really had was a cot and a duffel." he said then chuckled again "But I'll get around to actual furniture and space filling items at some point." he said

Lacy came back into the living room and took a seat. She was glad to be back home, it had been a while. She put her legs up next to her in the chair and rested her head in her hand facing his way. Leaving the coffee to itself as it put itself together. She frowned a bit. "yeah sorry." she said "I don't usually keep it around the house, my father was into that, but I wasn't" by into it, she meant he was smoke, often changing from shadows to smoke or anyother ellusive thing he could become.

He smiled and nodded "Exactly" he said And sympathized with her on it being good to be home. though for him it was just good to live by himself again instead of in a barracks or on a mat somewhere. "So Lacey, what all are you into, besides overworking yourself?" he asked in a friendly joking manner. and held up his hand "however good the cause may be it doesn't mean you can work yourself to death.

Lacy smirked and didn't reply for a moment thinking about her choice of words. "well, traveling and...linguistics I suppose. But it's been a while since I did either." she answered with a shrug. She laughed when he mentioned working herself to death. "I'm hardly one you should worry about dying." she smiled even rolling her eyes slightly.

He chuckled and smiled rolling his eyes as well and held a finger up. "Ah but time catches all of us surpassing everything." He said gently and smiled at her choice of activities. "Time is an enemy to all not just humans all be it, it is our biggest enemy for we do not live long." he said smiling comfortingly "Time catches everyone all be it for different reasons" he said leaning over and patting her knee "And plus I worry about anyone who isn't letting themselves relax. or possibly killing themselves" he said

Her smile widened at his words and she shook her head slowly laughing. "spoken lime a true poet." she wasn't too concerned with time. Even though it was her enemy it had left her alone for a while, other than the plagueing demands of work. two mugs came floating into the room and gently set themselves on the coffee table. It was one of her own brews, stronger than most. She hoped he wouldn't mind. She doubted he would, being quite strong himself, she doubted a fickle thing like coffee would bring him down. She sipped lightly at hers and said "besides this is nothing compared to what I used to do." she cleared her throat not wishing to dwell on the matter. "So, what else do you do?"

Devlin smiled taking a large sip of the coffee and closing his eyes relishing in a strong and hot cup of coffee letting out a slight sigh of content. and then thought about her question and comment "Well, I'm comfortable with most things But I enjoy music of all types and as you have already guessed I teach here, and the subjects are politics and economics." he said chuckling "I know an odd choice for someone who has both seen combat and is comfortable in an operating room." he said chuckling.

Alex nods giving him a slightly mischvious smile. "only slightly." she laughed and took another sip. "I never was good a politics. In fact rather horrid. I avoided it like the plague. Memorizing palimentary procedure and the different offices just about killed me." but she kept a smile in. "glad to hear you're enjoying and teaching it. How long have you been in this new profession?"

He chuckled slightly and looked down "Only a little over a week, it's been rather slow, only one student." he said chuckling and shook his head after a moment "But yea life is grand now, and even better thanks to you." he said smiling and returning her mischievous look.
