Well this wasn't good, Forte looked around but the location wasn't familiar to her at all. And all she was doing was trying to go home but it seemed that she blacked out and ended up near some swamps... Wait swamps? Forte didn't live near any such thing! And she had clearly walked through some of it, because all around her was swamp, and her legs were covered in muck.

Erasto moved along slowly, his strange eyes glancing this way and that from beneath the heavy mask. The swamp was getting dark; dusk was upon the land. Soon he'd be hearing the calls of nocturnal swamp creatures, see his lamplight reflect in their beady eyes, perhaps hear a splash as one of them escaped into the murky water. But he didn't fear what lurked in the swamp, no... what lurked in the swamp had learned to fear him. No more was he bothered by foolish little crocodiles or those stupid snakes that tried to squeeze the life out of you--no, they had learned their lesson. Leave Erasto alone, or you'll end up on his shelves.

His lantern cast a soft and eerie light on the surrounding trees, quietly inviting any of those who had been lost in the swamp. Business had been booming lately. What was it with all these horses getting lost in the swamps? It wasn't too hard to navigate them... wasn't it? Ah well, just more chances at finding that liver or spleen he needed.

A tiny rustle came from his left; he paused, his ears flicking lazily towards the sound. Ah, so he had found another victim. Time to lure them in! His lantern glowed bright as he ambled towards the tiny disturbance.

It was getting dark, and Forte knew instinctively that it wasn't a time for her to be out. She wanted to cry really... She had no idea how she got there, and she had no idea how to get out. Her blue eyes looking around, she caught sight of the light. She watched it as it got closer, it was floating... No, it was a lantern that a large stallion was holding. She stared up at him blankly, not to sure what to say.

"H-hello." She smiled at him as cheerfully as she could. She didn't feel threatened, even though she should have been. She didn't often pick up on danger.

Erasto's brow quirked in confusion. He had just heard a voice, hadn't he? Where did it come from? He looked to the left, and nothing. To the right, nothing. Then, some strange force beckoned him to look down, and he found the owner of the tiny voice. She had to be one of the smallest mares he had ever seen! Not many creatures this small braved the swamps alone at night.

He smirked, a short fang hanging out beneath the beak of the heavy mask. "Why, hello there, little one. I almost missed you!" He chuckled very suddenly, then fell silent just as quickly. Manners! He must remember them.

"You seem to be lost, my dear. Tell me, what is your name?" The lantern sat on the ground in front of him, illuminating the tiny dark body of the usdia, but only half of the stallion's larger body.

She was small, and she knew but. But he seemed extra large... But oh well, he had noticed her, and didn't step on her. She had encountered that issue a few times, what a scary thing.

"Quite. I'm not to sure how I got here..." She looked rather confused. "My name is Forte. It's a pleasure to meet you... Might I inquire about your name?" She looked up at the stallion. He was dressed rather exotically but it was still eye pleasing.

Shifting her weight, the mud of the swamp sucked her hoof down causing her to loose balance and she face planted into the muck.

Erasto's eyes widened slightly at the little mare's kind behavior. She showed no trace of fear! How amazing, especially for one so petite and defenseless. She obviously had no idea of his reputation, or any care for the strange mask he wore over his painted features. Those were usually enough to scare a normal sized Soquili, or to root them in fear so they were easy to kill. But this one... she was intriguing, to say the least.

And her trust in him was completely humorous!

He suppressed a half-crazed giggle when the mud sucked her down, and instead decided to play along, letting her trust him for a time until he decided what to do with her. He reached down and gently grabbed a portion of her mane, hoisting her tiny form back out of the mud. Her dirtied features made quite a laughable display, but he had pity on her. It was not so easy to navigate in such a place.

"Come with me, my child. I have clean water for you to wash with." Ah, a perfect way to lure her to his hut.

Forte was grateful for the help. She looked up at him and she laughed a little. The mud felt gross was most appreciative of his offer for clean water. She was more then happy to follow after him. She was still having some trouble with the mud and she stumbled around some. Her head was starting to hurt though... Her pace instantly started to slow down, and she trudged along behind the stallion. No idea where she was, or where she was going.

(Sorry it's kind of blah x.x I'd like for her to black out though just as they reach his hut. and then wake up and have no idea that she's met him before )

Erasto led a slow pace most of the way, checking back every so often to make sure the little mare was still following him. He was surprised that she could navigate the mud at all... perhaps he should just finish her off and save her the trouble? But then again, she was so small, and her form held no certain oddities that he fascinated himself with. The only thing he'd be interested in would be her eyes or her tiny hooves, but were they worth the trouble?

When they came upon the crudely built mud and thatch hut, he set his lantern down next to the door to free his mouth. The light would not be needed inside--he had started a fire earlier in the day and only needed to add more wood. He turned to the little mare and raised his eyebrows in surprise. She had a strange look upon her face, and still had a few paces to go until she reached his spot. Perhaps he should have slowed down? But he had already been going at such a slow pace!

But the way her eyes were losing focus sent an instant warning through his mind. He wasn't concerned, of course, but he was skilled in healing and knew what was coming next...

"Err... little lady? Are you feeling well?"

The walk, enough it wasn't very far, had taken a lot of out her. She took another step and she heard his voice, but it sounded very... very far away. Her blue eyes looked over at him, he wasn't all that far, but he was all blurry. After that everything went black.

Her legs buckled under her, and she collapsed to the ground, still half in the mud. Even though about 5 minutes passed, it was like a blink of an eye for Forte. She shook her head, and her body ached. She got up like she normally would have, and she looked around.

"Where am I? And ... Who are you?"

Erasto wrinkled his brow, looking down at the Usdia with more than a little curiosity. Well, her coat was very beautiful, but perhaps he didn't need anymore hides at the moment. This... memory loss thing was quite intriguing, and he wondered if he might have a use of herbs to treat it. It was certainly the first case he'd come by.

"Err... you're in a swamp. Obviously. Look at the mud on your hooves!" he stated, almost in a disbelieving tone, then sobered and gave a tiny, toothy grin. "And I'm Erasto. I've been leading you to my hut for some water... though, it seems you have bigger problems to worry about."

He looked her over, his eyebrows quirked in curiosity, then perked back up, tsking his tongue. "Have you a history of fainting? Or did you hit your head recently? You did just faint, you know. It's quite fascinating!"

Forte blinked up at the much larger stallion. "Water?" She asked, has she been thirsty? Well now that it was brought up... She was. Looking down at her hooves she lifted them one at a time. Swamp muck covered them, almost up her stomach. "That might explain the smell..." She laughed. "Fainting? I don't think so... And I don't think I've hit my head recently." It was mostly an emotional thing. Forte loved being around others, and loved her daughter, and just had so much love. But... She repressed loneliness and sadness, and it resulted in her blackening out, quite often. It was a bad defense mechanism. She didn't always remember things when memories came back... Nor does she remember the time in between. She needed something to clam her down most likely.
