Masterpieces spiked in price I wouldn't call it an AI though. I would wait until the graphs plateau before considering buying these.
As a side note: Masterpieces have always struggled because of the various other skins/dyes that also will give you white skin and because the eyes on the masterpieces don't layer well with other eyes.

As a side note: Masterpieces have always struggled because of the various other skins/dyes that also will give you white skin and because the eyes on the masterpieces don't layer well with other eyes. The one thing that I tell people to keep in mind is that when you see an item on the rise, then you already missed the best chance to hoard the item. It's usually not worth it unless there is good argument behind why continuing to hoard the item is a good idea. In this case, I'd say what Cryptex said is true. This time is heavily popular for the white skin and there are TONS of other white skin items out there. This means that the Masterpieces won't go as high as you're hoping. And on the side note, Masterpieces + Gogh Reed eyes = Win!

as far as my brain can remember, it's masterpieces. Although really, I don't know if it's considered 'skin' cause it changes your eyes too :/

But the imaginary friend one has weird outlines for you legs if you are using a different leg item D:

Also to add, the eye layering on the masterpieces has been fixed, which could be a reason for the sudden rise in price.
Although the eyes have been fixed, it still does not work for the mouth (sharktooth, kinks reprise etc).

right now they are inflated shoulda bought em when they were lower lol

The layering with the eyes has been fixed (most eye items now layer over Masterpieces), so yes, Masterpieces is now the best looking, cheapest way to get a "pure" white skin. Thus, the price spike.
Imaginary Friend's white skin is a "ghost" (something not real, as in imaginary) thus the reason it's fuzzy around the edges and see through. It does not layer well, especially for shoe items.
