Emil, Kyouko - Das Tor
Mariemeiah Khushrenada, Tanwyn - NovaCracker

"You like Tanwyn~" Emil sighed as his cousin darted about his legs. It was odd, how small she was when her father was a god.

"And what makes you say that, Kyouko?" He stopped and the juvenile stopped as well, looking up at him with that odd little smile of hers.

"Because you spend so much time with her." He raised a brow. He hadn't spent all that much time with the girl yet. He did like when she was around, but...He shook his head, chalking it up to Kyouko's odd perception of time.

"You were dreaming again, Kyouko." The wing-marked girl snorted.

"Was not!" Emil rolled his eyes and picked her up. She flailed a bit and pouted. "Put me dooooown~ Millie!" Emil cringed at the nickname. He HATED when someone called him that.

Tanwen walked, leading Meiah along the Mwako borders, the adolescent teaching the older female about the area, her culture.

Meiah soaked it up, silent, but nodding. This place was so odd, the outside world her grandfather kept her from. And it was odd how the nameless female accepted it.

Emil scented Tanwyn before he saw her, and put Kyouko down. "Behave. You weren't even supposed to come out here with me." He was going to get on his uncle Duo's case when they got back...Kyouko was quiet as it was. She hadn't needed lessons in stealth from Duo too! The juvenile had decided to follow him on his trip, and he hadn't caught her until they were over halfway there!

Kyouko just smiled sweetly and bound ahead of him, humming. Emil sighed and followed after her, shaking his head.

Meiah sighted them first, growling as she crouched, moving to strike. Tanwen blinked, bounding after her, head tilting.

"Meiah? What asre you doing? ... Meiah?" Tanwyn frowned, when Meiah lunged to pounce. Tanwen caught Emil's scent, sand clamped Meia's tail, dragged a bit as ther female dropped.

"NO MEI MEI! FRIEND! FRIEEEENNND!"

Emil noticed Meiah just as she'd started the pounce, immediately moving to protect his smaller cousin, fur on end and teeth bared. Kyouko stared with wide eyes at Meiah, having not Seen her before. Then she smiled brightly and dodged out from under Emil, curious about Meiah.

A surprise! She liked surprises! "Hello!" Emil had a distinct look of 'what the hell' on his face.

"Who...the hell is that, Tanwyn?"

"She's... New to the Area. Her names Meiah." Tanny smiled, puffing proudly. "She's my awesome weird friend."

Meiah blinked, nodding at Kyouko politely, calming, and looked to Tanwyn.

"Nanashi, you know them?"

"Only Emmi...Ema... Em... ... Millie."

Dear Mkodi, not Tanwyn too! Emil sighed. "The girl is my cousin, Kyouko." He looked to Meiah and nodded. "I'm Emil. It's...nice to meet you."

Kyouko giggled and sat down. "You can call him Millie, though." The male gave her an annoyed look.

"She followed me."

"I followed Nanashi, so all is well." Meiah smirked. "And it's a pleasure, Emil."

GAH! another clanless lion? Damniiiit. Tanwyn purred at Kyouko.

"Awww, so small."

Emil blinked and frowned. "Nanashi? Why do you call Tanwyn 'Nanashi'?" That wasn't her name. It didn't even sound like PART of her name. (Unlike his embarrassing nickname of 'Millie'.)

Kyouko purred. "Mother thinks it odd. Since my family is big." But she didn't mind. It was easier to ride around on other's backs, and wriggle into small spaces, and keep out of fights...

"She says where she's from everyone has clans, families, that share a name. She thinks Nanashi would be mine since I don't feel the need to have one appropriate, and I cut her full name down to Miah. Her full name is longer than Momy's.

Meiah nodded, grooming Kyouko's ear.

"That's always the best way, though."

Emil frowned. "Sounds a bit like where Duo's going to be headed." He smirked though. "Your mother's name isn't all that long, Tanwyn." There were other pride members with longer names.

Kyouko giggled. "Mmmhmm! I like you. I've never Seen you before. I usually See everyone I've met or am going to."

"It is to me!" Tanwyn sulked, looking wounded. "I can't say Mom's name either!"

"I see." Meiah sweatdropped. Saw? GAH. Too much like Shinigami.

"What do you normally see?"

Emil sighed and shook his head. And yet she made his name longer with a nickname. "I know, I know. You'll get it one day."

Kyouko tilted her head. "Life and death. Places I'm sure are far away from home. Creatures, family far away." She smiled, an odd gleam in her eyes. "And my Shining Emperor." She giggled.

"I hope so." Tanwyn smiled, nuZzling Emil gently. "I'm glad your my friend, Millie." She smiled. Meiah blinked.

"Shining Emporer?"

Emil let her nuzzle. "Of course." He smiled slightly. "I can only stay for a day or two, since Kyouko decided to come with." He'd need to talk with Nyx when he got back...She NEEDED to do something about Kyouko.

Kyouko nodded brightly. "Yes. I can never see his face. But I'll know when I find him, and then everything will be perfect." She would have the Light to her Dark. Like her Mother was to her Daddy.

"I see." Meiah looked to Emil. "I can take her if you wish to sdtay with Nanashi longer." She smirked. Tanwyn smiled at Emil, and flopped on his paws.

"It's OK. I don't mind."

Emil looked to Meiah, frowning once again. "Do you know where the Matembezi'wasakaji reside?" He didn't fully trust the girl. Kyouko perked up, though.

"I can show her, if she doesn't!" She giggled. "I like her."

"No, but I'm sure the little one can show me." She gave Emil a cool, confident look. "I'm not going to cubnap her, if your afraid of that.

Tanwyn sweatdropped, but remained against Emil.

Emil chuckled, smirking. "I'm not worried about that." She'd end up with quite a few people on her tail if she tried.

Kyouko giggled. "Millie is just grumpy lots." She stood up. "I want a snack, but then we can go home."

"Still silly." Tanwyn smiled, licking Emil's chin gently and smiling.

"I noticed that. Careful, Nanashi. Grumps can turn on you."

Kyouko started off, scenting rabbits. Snack time! Then she could lead her new friend to her home!

Emil gave Meiah an unamused look, letting Tanwyn have her affectionate-ness. "Your new friend is odd."

Meiah followed, taking the scent in as she did so, nodding. Yesss... A snack for Kyouko!

Tanwyn shrugged.

"Not odd. Different. Not everyone grows up normally or learning the same stuff. Like, Mama says there's an all-girl pride, for example. So does Miss Cae. So isn't weird to mde."

Emil nodded. "I suppose." He remembered hearing about the all-female pride. HE thought it weird, but...then again, he was male. He watched Meiah and Kyouko head off, then shook his head. "What do you want to do?"

"I dunno. I just like spending time you you, I guess, so whatever you what to do." She looked away, turning pink.

"Millie? Are you a prince?"

Emil blinked, then shook his head. "I don't think so. My mother wasn't a queen or princess, so I'm quite sure I'm not a prince. Why do you ask?" He was curious.

"Mommy says the nicest boys are princes." She turned pink, looking away shyly.

Emil sighed and shook his head. "Well I'm no prince." Nice? He...wasn't exactly 'nice'. He had his moments, sure, but...eh. Tanwyn was an odd, odd girl. "Why don't we see if we can find something to do?" Because he didn't really have an idea.

"Wanna go hunting?" Tanwyn smiled at him.

Emil nodded, tilting his nose up to the air to find something the two of them could bring down. "That sounds like an idea." He started in a direction. "And I smell a gazelle."

"Oooo!" Tanwyn smiled, padding after.

"Let's go! You lead~!"
