It just had to be dogs!!!
There were advantages to being a feline, but at times, certain aspects to being one were also annoying. It wasn't that ********* hated dogs. The spotted guardian cat absolutely loved Lilith's dog, Raja. It was just the fact that most dogs tended to see ********* as something you chased. Some dogs just couldn't tame that predator instinct.
However, the dogs that were chasing her weren't quite the normal dog. No. There had been a sudden surge of dog-like Youma in the vicinity. And there was a pack of two chasing her at that exact moment.
As small and round as ********* appeared, she actually was quite quick on her paws. She was managing to keep a good distance between herself and the two brown-black Youma. At the moment, all she could do was pay attention to that mental radar for any senshi in the area (preferably awakened) who could assist.
This was how ********* found Sirius.

Sirius was use to working alone, even though she was now kind of in a team she wasn't really. She just enjoyed being on her own, no she was use to being on her own. She had spent so many months working alone that working with others she was actually finding rather challenging.
The sound of dogs, which weren't sounding all that dog like was got her attention. She didn't run to where the sound was coming from as she was trying to keep like to the shadows so no one spotted her. Such was life.
The cat surprised her, she wasn't expecting to see a cat running and it took her a few moments of complete confusion as to why youma were chasing a cat. Either way, maybe the youma had just got bored? It was possible! It was lucky for the cat that she was an animal person and wasn't about to let a cat get hurt by youmas!
She stood out in the way of the oncoming youma and shouted the usual words that she was all to use to.
"Collar Bound!" There now those dogs were stuck.

The cat initially just ran past her with many quick jingling sounds ringing from her bell, not stopping until the cries of the senshi's attack filled the air. The youma both yelped out once they found their freedom of movement taken from them. The cat quickly turned back, making certain to rub her body gratefully against the senshi's ankle.
In a friendly tone, the feline shared her gratitude with her momentary savior. "Thank you very much, Sirius. I promise I will make quick work of them for you!" There were advantages to being a guardian, and one of them was being able to know the senshi's abilities. With the Youma restrained, the manx padded forward to as close as she could approach the monstrous dogs.
Though they were stuck in place, they squirmed slightly. Instead of whining much longer, they both started to laugh like hyenas. Their voices seemed to laugh out the mention of their queen. Yellow ghastly eyes focused in on the feline, as if they were just waiting for their own deaths at her cute furry paws. Their laughter grew more and more hysterical as they seemed to sense their own demise.
"Yes, yes, Queen Beryl and all that jazz... we get it, we get it." Obviously ********* had heard the line many times before. "Whenever you are ready, you may release your hold on them." the star on her forehead seemed to glow as she gave Sirius the go ahead.

Sirius was rather surprised when the cat spoke. How many of these guardian cats were there? She had never really paid that much attention to them after all she hadn't met one since Astraea had woken her and that was ages ago.
The cat seemed rather bold and as she hadn't ever seen a cat attack before. There was no denying Sirius was a little worried but then she could always collar the dogs again, they were pretty strong after all. She could feel their strength sapping at hers.
She let the collar go and watched eagerly, she was all set to collar the youma again, after all it was at least one thing about her attack. She never needed to recharge but the collar would be weaker. She would have problems holding them but she couldn't attack dog youma's while protecting the cat so she just hoped that the cat's were as strong as the rumours said.

The moment the Youma were released, they lunged towards the feline in desperation more than anything. Yet all the tailless cat did was wink slightly.
"I hope you like ********* Special Surprise!"
From the feline's forehead, a sudden burst of energy was released in the direction of the two Youma. They weren't really all that strong, but at the same time, they were sturdy enough to last the first blow. Perhaps it was because they both got hit, reducing the amount of energy hitting each other. They both stood there, panting like the dogs they were, barely keeping to their feet. Eventually, one fell down, unable to hold its own weight up anymore. The other Youma nudged its partner, as if trying to let it know such sign of weakness was intolerable.
Alas, the Youma were not the only ones worn out. The cat backed away in step, legs feeling a bit wobbly. "Sailor Sirius, I do not think you need to use your abilities again." The pair of strange canines weren't even attacking. "I think all you would need to do is just beat up on them a little bit and they'll be done with starseed hunting."
Pale green eyes momentarily glanced to Sailor Sirius. It was always difficult to judge the personality of a Senshi. They ranged from Iris-violent to Lacrimosa-pacifistic. What would the senshi do?

Sirius watched the cat in awe and then laughed at herself for worrying. Of course these cats would be able to protect themselves! As for her beating them up, she wasn't really into beating up things that well weren't fighting back. It didn't help that they looked like dogs it was really rather off putting!
She looked at the cat and then the youma and sighed. She hadn't really ever beaten anything up without some kind of prop and so she walked over to the alley she had just come out of and picked a few bin lids. Walking over to the youma she looked at them with eyes full of pity before she attacked hitting them both with the lids giving something like a cartoon effect. She then went back to the alley and put the lids back. She hated her job sometimes, she really hated it.

There was a way of telling ********* all she needed to know without words. Pale green eyes trailed after Sirius, watching as she seemed to slink off to get something to assist her with the Youma extermination. Obviously this girl was not an athlete, at least it came across this way. The senshi's posture showed some sort of lack of confidence. Maybe even some sort of regret.
The pair of Youma laughed. They laughed as the green-suited senshi stepped forward as if someone was pushing her from behind. They laughed as she lifted up the large bin covers. They laughed even as she smashed them down upon their heads. Upon impact, they seemed to explode into dust.
Perhaps Sirius had not been doing this for too long?
Or...
"You are like Lacrimosa." The cat sat her haunches down and looked to the senshi. Her head tilted to the side slightly, as if asking Am I correct silently.

Sirius turned to the cat looking rather confused. Who? She was yet to meet a lot of senshi, even the senshi who were in the team she had been invited to join. This whole team thing was... something wait.. Lacrimosa.. wasn't she in her team? Oh Sirius really couldn't remember.
"Excuse me?" Much better reply then who as the name was ringing a faint bell in the back of her head. If only she were better at remembering names.
"Who are you anyway? You don't seem anywhere near as harsh as Astraea." She looked at the cat curiously, she didn't look much like the other cat either, other then the star. That must be the sign of a guardian cat then.

Without any hesitation, ********* easily assessed the situation.
"Lacrimosa is another senshi I have encountered before. She does not do well with violence. In fact, it actually made her physically sick to her stomach to do anything remotely violent. Poor girl." The cat sounded somewhat sympathetic.
Her rump remained firmly to the ground as she continued to look at Sirius. "Last I checked, I am myself, and not Astraea. Isn't everyone allowed to be themselves? I'd joke about Astraea probably stressing herself out, thus why she has all that gray hair, but I'm not much better off with fur color." If it wasn't already obvious that the manx was different from her superior, she let out a light humored laugh.
"Oh no, my name is *********." There was a slight pause. "You look like you could use some company. Care to talk for a bit?"

"And you think I am like her? Does it look like I am being sick?" Her voice was full of curiosity and slight accusation. She didn't sound much like that girl, she had fought many a time but generally if alone she ran. She couldn't kill youma's like some senshi, her power was to hold them not hurt them and so generally she ended up weaker which could easily cause her death so she ran.
"I just don't like to attack when they can't or won't attack back. Seem's somewhat heartless and I am no killer and I am defiantly not heartless." Sirius looked at the cat curiously, she was nothing like Astraea and that surprised her slightly. She was always expecting any other cat to be just like her.
"Well it's nice to know you aren't like her, she always seems to uptight even for a cat." Sirius knew about cats, she had them at home the lazy things.
"Sure we can talk." Though this also confused Sirius, Astraea hadn't really been the talking type when they had met, more the act now don't talk later type.

"No, I am not saying you were getting physically sick" the cat replied. "I am saying you come across as a pacifist." With that, the tailless feline stood herself up and padded right up to Sirius' ankles. She might not have been like the regular cats, but she still had some habits much like them. In a friendly gesture, she rubbed herself up against the senshi's legs, purring slightly as if to reassure her ********* was not an Astraea in any sense. It was like an invitation to treat the guardian like the cat she physically looked like.
"So, Sirius, are you on a team? You know it can be unsafe patrolling all by yourself, though I am sure you have been told this before!" ********* let out a small laugh. "Pardon if I seem rude, but I am curious more than anything."
She was, after all, a cat.

As ********* rubbed against her legs she crouched down to stroke her forgetting for a moment she could talk. That was of course until she spoke again and then Sirius wasn't sure whether or not she should be stroking the cat.
"I am apart of a team as yes I have heard that many times by many people but.... I don't like it. I always wanted a team but now I have one, I would rather work as I have done. It seem's I am not good at adjusting." Sirius then noticed she was talking about everything to someone who could speak back at her. It was probably a good thing that ********* was a cat, it meant the senshi would open up much more then usual.
"Do you have a team?" Sirius was curious she had been told every team had a cat.

The manx let out some loud purring noises as she was stroked and petted. When it stopped, she blinked. Her head nodded as she listened to the dilemma, jingling of her bell accenting the movements.
"It's okay to pet me, Sirius. It feels nice."
Apparently that had been the most important thing the feline wanted to get off her chest after she was given a chance to speak.
The next thing ********* offered was her answer to the supplied question. It was a bit strange, but the cat's green eyes seemed to rather easily lock with Sirius' in a friendly manner. The guardian seemed so at ease. "Oh yes, I have my girls. Well, two of my girls at least. I am still looking for 6 more."
Her furry cheek rubbed up against the senshi's leg once more. It honestly would have been easier to talk to Sirius if she'd pick her up, but it seemed as if the girl was hesitant. "I hope you don't mind me saying this, but to me, it sounds like you are indecisive. When you don't have something, it sounds nice... but when you get that something, you find it might not be as nice as it once seemed. Almost like that whole 'siblings versus no siblings' argument I've heard before." With a small, polite laugh, she asked a pretty good question.
"Do you know your teammates as people, or do you only know them as senshi?"

Sirius smiled and continued to stroke the cat after ********* said she liked it. It occurred to her that actually she was a cat and her cats loved it so why wouldn't *********? Wow that's a large group as well..." Maybe large groups weren't all that uncommon then. Sirius wasn't so sure though. She listened to what the cat said and nodded, of course she was indecisive but at the same time she had no choice. She would end up being killed if she continued to work alone.
"We have met, we all went to the leaders house for a meeting. Was rather uncomfortable but we all met." At least some turned up. Sirius wasn't sure whether it was a good thing or not. "All the other girls are just so different it seems odd that we would be able to work together when there is such a mix of personalities." Of course Sirius was sure they could work together but then she was an unsociable girl and really had issues with being social. Maybe it was her worrying about nothing.

That felt quite nice. With a sphere such as Sirius', one would guess she wasn't a cat person. Yet she seemed to know her way about the two pointy ears that the manx had. One of her two ears twitched slightly at the mention of one word.
Leader
It had been a while since she had heard such a term used with a team. Perhaps she had been holding off from using such a label within her own small group. It was rather foolish to use such a title when there were only 2 members in the group. It would make things awkward, no matter how tight knit the pair were. It wasn't exactly like Iris and Metis were the best of friends or anything either...
"You know, my two girls are as different as the sun and the moon. Don't think I am saying this to make you feel better. It's a fact." She nodded her head to emphasize the point.
"Iris is a fighter. Someone who lets her anger get the best of her. Someone who doesn't plan ahead and goes in with her fists swinging. And, in all honesty, I suspect she hates being a senshi, but only does it because she knows she can't avoid it forever."
Feeling like she should get comfortable, she walked herself into a small circle before laying down. "Now, Metis, on the other hand, is much more thoughtful. She still has much to learn about fighting, but she is kind. She might not be strong on her own yet, but she has fully accepted her duties."
She paused and glanced up towards the sky. "I will be quite honest. They do not work together the best. However, they do at least make attempts at that whole comrade thing. They are teammates, not best friends." Her feline shoulders rolled as best as they could into a shrug while laying down. "It couldn't hurt to try and learn more about your teammates as people though. Maybe you'll find a gem in there that you weren't expecting."
