Whenever an animal makes an "appointment" to visit my town, I'll wait inside my house by the door at the time they were supposed to come- I never hear a knock, as they suggested I would- and if I wait OUTSIDE, they dont show up. What am I supposed to do? Am I doing something wrong thats dead obvious what I'm supposed to do? Please help, this is the third time a villager got mad at me for "blowing them off".

You just need to reach and wait inside your house at least 1 minute before the appointed time in the main room.

Oh, I get it now. Baabara told me to stand by the door... so I did... wasn't that nice of her... Well thanks for the help n_n

You have some leeway in when the appointment is, too. For my first appointment, I almost forgot and signed in 10 minutes after the appointed time, and the villager still showed up.

Um...yeah...
I always Timetravel 1 minute before the villager comes and quickly go back into my house.
"Wait by the door" means wait INSIDE...
