Malvado Sevmek traveled far and wide, thought it generally seemed like aimless wandering, though to her there was a purpose.
She was searching, unknowingly for someone, something she simply just didn't know who or where, but she was confident that she'd find them sooner or later. And she enjoyed her travels, learning about others, making friends and learning things she most likely would have never known if she hadn't been there.
There always seemed to be a plus side, even to her darkest days.

 Hak'zhakuu was miserable. Bereft of friend or foe, he'd been wandering aimlessly for what seemed ages. Nothing near as long as he'd waited to exact his revenge...but still, thinking that did little to cheer him. In fact it made him feel worse.
Once upon a time he'd been a beautiful, hopeful, upstanding lion. He'd had a position in a pride that he'd been honored to belong to, and a mate he couldn't wait to come home to each day. And then...then, he'd lost it all. In a rage, he'd plotted, done evil deeds...and for what? His tormentors were dead, but so was his reputation--and his mate. She'd turned away from him before he'd even done those things.
And really who could blame her?
He was a dingy, muddy, worn out mess of a lion. Head low and with no purpose to do anything his dragging feet slowed. He shuddered, feeling terribly alone, and sank to his belly in the middle of the savanna. He felt so so alone...

It was wasy to spot him, and Sev couldnt simply turn away something about him called to her. She didnt know what it was, or why but she couldnt ignore the call.
Slowly, carefully she edged closer. "Hello?" she spoke softly as she lowered her head looking him over, muddy and on the rather thin side of the scale, Sev thought back to where she could find water, and food.
She knew this lion needed her help. And damn those who hadnt helped him sooner!

The sound of another voice both delighted and terrified him. Some show of kindness at all gave him a glimmer of hope, but it was soon dashed. Surely she would see his shame, sense that he was not a good lion, and leave. He sighed and hid his face in his paws. He didn't deserve her kindness.
When she didn't immediately cry out (obviously she'd not recognized him for the cruel thing he was) and flee, he dared glance up at her. She seemed...concerned? How odd. Odd but touching. He couldn't help the smile. He must have looked pitiful.
"Heh. Hello." His voice rasped from his thirst and disuse. He had better manners than to rudely ignore her. He didn't think he should be granted this solace, but he wouldn't try to run her off.

"Oh you poor thing." She said in a hushed whisper, half to herself as she neared him.
"I'm Sev." She said as she came right up to him, she didnt feel she needed to fear him, though even in this state he was a good touch larger than she was.
"Hungry?" she said, though she knew the answer. "Of course you are.." she said with a shake of her head, as if she was speaking silly nonsense. "I shall get you a meal!"

She...seemed to be deciding to take care of him? He was too weak to argue against it, and so he just lay still while she did whatever it was she was doing. Maybe she was really an assassin sent for his life, and this kindness was just to get close? He didn't care. She could take him now if she chose.
But it seemed she was genuine in her concern. The idea of that floored him. The world still had good in it for him? The thought was...so strange. He looked up at her, mismatched eyes seeking for some hidden motive.
"...I am Hak'Zhakuu."

"Hak'Zhakuu hmm? Well, its nice to meet you." She said with a nod of her head. "Stay put okay?"
She smiled at him, before she sprung off into the distance. She had something to bring back, she was a swift little huntress, she generally didnt have a problem getting prey, and today was no different.
It wasn't to long, before she was dragging back what looked to be a fat zebra foal.

The smell of the zeebra awoke his senses a bit. He hadn't realized how starving he'd been. And he immediately felt shame. Why should he eat, take food from this kind stranger? And worse, the zeebra had lost its life. His wasn't worth that much. He should let himself starve...but he couldn't be rude.
He looks appreciatively to the lioness. "You do...too much..." He rumbled, unable to keep himself from salivating. The zeebra DID look delicious.
"I cannot...repay you for that..."

"Sharing the meal with me, would be thanks enough." she said with a simple nod, a silent prayer went out for thanks of the zebra, but it was hushed.
She wasnt sure how he'd take her, giving thanks for thier bounty. "Eat up please." she pushed it towards him, not sure if he could stand and take the steps.

She was simply too, too kind. He had strength the stand and walk, just not the will. She was going to make him eat anyways though, and he was the least he could do to oblige her. The meat tasted sinfully good as he bit in. Silently he too thanked the zebra for its sacrifice. He didn't deserve it.
He ate a while, then sighed and lay back. He looked to the female, his savior, and sighed. "Thank you..."

She picked lightly at the zebra, it hadnt been brought down for her and her own belly only grumbled slightly.
But as he took in his fill, she smiled up at him, cleaning her muzzle from any remains of her nibbling. She eyed what was left, it would be able to feed him for another day or so she thought with a light nod.
"Your welcome, what is troubling you. If you don't mind me asking?"

He was ashamed to say he'd gorged himself. The demands of the body overwrote his sense of shame, and he found himself feeling full and healthy soon enough.
He seemed to become shy, or perhaps angry when she asked what bothered him. His brow knitted and he grimaced, looking away. "Too many things...to trouble a sweet soul like yours." He didn't want to, wasn't ready to talk about what he'd done just yet. She seemed to genuinely care, but if he told her, surely she'd run in fright. And he didn't want to lose the small company he'd been so undeservedly given.

She laughed softly, "A sweet soul or not, its not hard to see trouble within you. And if its kept like it is now, you might never find yourself again and that would be a great shame." She said with a nod.
"Plus, its not as if Im going to run away or something." She stretched herself out laying down, showing that she was making herself comfortable.

He grunted at her response. She seemed eager to hear his story, but he still withheld. She decided to open herself up to his pain, but he could choose to protect her from it. Some of it at least.
"Many things have happened in my life. I have...seen farther than anyone I imagine could see in three lifetimes. I have seen...I have seen men, the two-legged beasts; their homes, their ways. I have seen vast deserts to the far northwest, and craggy mountains to the east. I have seen five oceans, the rise and fall of many prides...the deaths of all those I once thought my friends..." He grimaced in real pain, reliving those long moments of his life.
"And I have seen the love of my life turn into the paws of my most hated enemy." Yes, he had plenty to weigh down on his soul. He watched her carefully for any sign of her growing disgust with him.

Her brows knitted together as she stared at him, her eyes twin pools of pity and sympathy as she reached her paw out, and touched it against his own lightly.
"That sounds, so awful. Though, I enjoy traveling the land so not all of that sounds to poor to my ears." She shook her head though, "But to have your heart betrayed in such a way..Goodness.." She shook her head, it was an awful tale.
