Dear Guest,

We would like to invite you to spend the evening with us. We will open our night of events with dinner, leading up to a conversation in the sitting room. We feel the need to inform you that our...."home" is haunted. The pained spirits of this house are not the kind or playful ones either. They are out right evil. Now of course by now this isn't sounding like an ideal evening but here's the important part. If you survive your evening in this haunted old house you will receive one million dollars in cash. Please do take this seriously though, and attend at your own risk.

Sincerely,
The Host

You received the letter and despite being certain it was a hoax of some kind, that nagging thought kept you from throwing it into the trash can. One million dollars is nothing to sneeze at and surely you could think of plenty of ways to put it to use. But if you were to take this letter seriously...you'd have to also believe that you were putting your life at risk, should you choose to attend.

Whatever thought process lead to it, you've decided to attend. And it will possibly be the biggest mistake of your life.

Okay in lieu of making this AU we have concocted a bit of a strange scheme. xD First of all, you have to accept that your gijinka may die in this rp. However, if your gijinka "dies" they actually just wake up in their bed sort of freaking out with no tangible explanation as to what happened. Sort of like a bad trip lawl.

Anyway, please no negotiating if your gijinka dies. You could either find a way to kill them yourself or I will pm you some disastrous event in which they die. Just make a post detailing their death by the circumstance and a post of them waking up in bed. Simple enough?

Post to join, open to all gijinka.

Salem was very slow to enter the house. He was still mentally battling himself. Even after past experiences in the so-called haunted house that had scared him to death, he still was inclined to believe that all these "hauntings" were hoaxes. Yes, this was a different house. A new experience. And money was his motivation this time, not sex. The sableye finally hushed his mind and entered the house. The two grand entrance doors slid open with ease, despite their apparent size and weight.

The foyer of the house was beautiful and very dark. Busts of the house's previous owner lined the walls with masks of seriousness. A grand stair case coiled down from higher levels of the large house. Salem immediately felt overwhelmed. Of course that could have just been the drugs talking. And of course he was high, when was he ever not?

A man in a suit appeared, and explained that dinner would be first, just as the ominous letter had informed him. He followed the man into an empty dining room. The table was long with several chair lining it's length. Salem found a chair near the middle of the table and sat down uncomfortably. The skinny rocker felt a bit under dressed in just his hoodie and jeans but of course no other guests had arrived yet so he was unsure what kind of attire would be the popular choice.

Honestly she was taken by surprise when she checked her mail. Of all things she'd expected her bills to be coming in. Something she dreaded, but it was something she expected now after moving to this state. It wasn't like she was struggling that much with her pretty high pay job but still. Scanning over the letter again as she slowly made way to her apartment.

Dear Guest,

We would like to invite you to spend the evening with us. We will open our night of events with dinner, leading up to a conversation in the sitting room. This had to be joke right? Either way she was seriously thinking over it, still reading each detail as she walked back into her apartment, not even paying any mind to her Meowth who over excitedly greeted her from the short disapearance Choumo made. "Hm..." Softly she murmured to herself bringing a hand to her lips, plopping herself onto her cheap couch. "It sounds scary... & the money does sound tempting... But what if I die?" Terrified by that thought, her twisted expression turned to her Meowth just thinking if she died Mao-kun would be alone. Continuing to frown, she looked at the letter one last time before deciding she'd go. It was rare she ever took such dangerous chances, but the money was too tempting to turn down. Without further ado she set the letter down & headed to her room to ready herself.

---------

Having decided on a casual look, it seemed too much to dress up when she'd possibly have to run, & now stood just outside the Mansion, fear paralyzing her from moving any further. Even after bidding her Meowth goodbye, she still feared dying in this place. The passing howling winds caused to keep looking back & forth, seeing no one around. She started to wonder if perhaps she was the only one who would show or got the letter.

Edan made a slow stride towards the home that was meant to be his grave. "As if." he muttered under his breath, taking in a breath of smoke from the cigarette that rested between his fingers. He approached the door now and while he was rude, he wasn't rude enough to enter a big fancy home with a cigarette hanging from his lip so he flicked it to the ground, stomping it out with the tread on his boot. Edan was not a man built of superstition, that wasn't to say that he didn't believe the supernatural to be possible, just that he wouldn't believe something until he saw it for himself.

He gave a loud knock on one of the large entrance doors but when he got no response he wasted little time in letting himself in, he was invited after all and so he felt it was his right to do such. As he entered, his eyes wandered around the place. It was even larger to him on the inside with a stair case spiraling up into forever, and the long hallway leading away from him, the spacious foyer that he now stood in. It was grand, even the vulpix had to admit that but he assured himself that it was just another building and reminded himself of the reason he had come.

One million dollars, that's nothing to scoff at. When he'd read the letter, his first thought was to trash it. It seemed like some stupid prank but the more that he saw it laying on his counter in his kitchen-area (area because he lived in a small apartment) the more stubborn thoughts he got about it. And by this point he'd decided that yes, it was probably some stupid game, but hey there are plenty of game shows out there with real money for s**t like this. So what would it hurt to come around and show that he wasn't easily scared in an attempt to get his hands on some cash? Hell, he could think of more than a few ways that he could use the money, and more than a few things that he would do to this host if this was just some lame prank.

So once he considered his options and saw that he had no plans for the evening regardless, he was left with no choice but to attend. So now when he was greeted and guided into the dining room by what he guessed to be the host, he just gave a nod and followed, shoving his hands into the pockets of his tan jeans - which were ripped up to shreds but hey, that was just his style. And Edan wasn't the type to dress up for anyone or any occasion.

It'd been a while since he'd been to a 'haunted house'. The last one proved to be a bit boring, although some unusual and intriguing things did happen, for the most part it wasn't enough to keep his interest as long as he had hoped it would. He would've continued going about his normal business if not for the peculiar mail he got earlier in the day. It was a letter of invitation to another 'haunted house', except this time there was quite a bit of money involved, and the possibility of death. Now, Shin didn't need the money, he had plenty of his own and usually never touched it, so that wasn't what caught his interest. What had caught his interest was the danger factor, the possible promise of a thrill or two. He wasn't ready to die, not by far, but the side of him that craved adventure, excitement, 'fun', that side overwhelmed whatever logic of keeping himself alive had been present.

This was how the Haunter found himself in front of a rather dark and large mansion. The grass was overgrown, weeds here and there, old gargoyles placed at the gate and also welcoming any who dared even get close to the house itself. The mansion had many windows, many pillars, it was dark and dreary. It was perfect. He couldn't help the small smile finding its way to his lips at the sight of it, at the thought of having what he considered to be a 'fun evening', and started making his way up the walkway, up the steps and to the two very large doors. Two hands reached out and gripped the door's handles, pulling both open with relative ease, soft light illuminating the Haunter's face, red eyes contrasting with his usual purple attire in the grim lighting of early evening.

Shin turned a little after a moment, his attention finding its way to the fear struck looking Smoochum.
"Care to come inside~?" he asked, adding in a small cryptic smile before stepping in past the threshold, taking in his surroundings on the way to the dinner hall.

xxxxxThe Sneasel girl stood in front of the large, old, frightening house. An opened envelope and a letter in her hands. She looked down to the envelope's address for confirmation that this was the accurate address. Just this morning, she received an invitation to spend a night at a haunted house and that if alive, that she would receive one million dollars. At first, Zoey thought of this as a prank. But the money sounded tempting. However, the challenge of staying at a haunted house with evil spirits made her tremble. She feared ghosts. She was terrified of them. Zoey remembered one Halloween, at age three, she was attacked by a hologram of a ghost and has been scared ever since. The sneasel decided to go and here she was. Right in front of the house on the front steps. Standing before two doors that appeared to be built for a man of eight feet tall. The nerd girl sighed heavily and stuffed the letter and envelope in her blazer pockets.

xxxxxZoey's crimson eyes fell on her small navy blue duffel bag that held her needs for the night. Toiletries, pajamas, underwear, and clothes for tomorrow morning. Her hidden hands reached for the black strap and she lifted the bag off the ground and prepared to approach the door. But instead, she was frozen. Her feet disobeying her. Zoey was scared. She didn't like haunted houses. And she cared little for money. But maybe she can donate the money to her church, a couple charities, and probably go shopping. Zoey gulped. Fear mixing in her ruby red eyes. She found herself trembling. With gelatin legs, she approached the door. Taking a few steps toward it. Be brave. You can do it. Its not that scary. Its probably all fake, she thought to herself. Hoping to actually believe her thoughts.

xxxxxZoey stopped as she was right in front of the two large doors. There were two large door knockers upon them. Both covered in grime and dust. But she can see that they were made of gold. They were two lions, with rings in their mouths. With a shaky hand, the sneasel took a dusty ring into her hand. Lifting it off the door, she prepared to knock with it. But just as she was about to use the knocker, the doors slowly creaked open, but with ease. The opened inward, exposing a beautiful foyer. It was beautiful, yet dark and frightening. Cobwebs clung to some of the porcelain busts of owners of the manor. Their faces were creepy and they made her shiver. The lighting was produced from a diamond chandelier above the foyer. Cobwebs accenting it. It was a bit scary. But she continued to encourage herself and force herself to believe that it was not scary.

xxxxxThe Sneasel girl gulped and stepped inside. Her soft footsteps echoed in the foyer. Her crimson eyes wandered the foyer, and she rotated her body, looking and admiring the details of the home. Indeed, it was creepy, but it was beautiful. It looked as if it was built many years ago. Zoey couldn't recall the year, but she knew that this home must be very old. As she looked around in the center of the foyer, spinning slowly, a man in a suit appeared. Her rotating stopped, but she jumped slightly from fright and shock. Zoey yelped softly. After calming herself, she began to observe this man's appearance. He looked old. He had wrinkles and dark bags beneath his eyes. He wore a worn out suit. He looked as if he was a butler and has been working his whole life in the manor. Zoey heard the butler explain to her that dinner shall be first. She noticed the rough, cracking in his voice. A sign of aging.

xxxxxZoey nodded silently. The ancient butler led her to a large dining room. There was a large table, stretching from one side of the room to the other. And several empty chairs were aligned on each side of the table. All looking the same. Her head turned to see the butler. He was taking her bag from her hand, telling her that he shall place her baggage in her room. Zoey dipped her head in a thank you. Her head returned to the table. She noticed a purple haired male with a mohawk and a ponytail. Did he receive the invitation too? The letter didn't mention anything about other people. Oh well. She wouldn't mind. Zoey now wouldn't be alone in the haunted house.

xxxxxThe college nerd stepped towards the table and near the purple haired male. He looked slim and fit. Maybe she could stick around him. Zoey wouldn't mind befriending the other contestants. The sneasel slipped into the chair beside him and gave him a soft, friendly, but shy smile. "H-h-h-hi," she stammered out shyly.

Edan had followed to the dining room in silence, his eyes meandering lazily from object to object before just finding a place plastered on the path ahead. Slender fingers fiddled with a bit of lint that remained in his pocket, idle motions while his mind danced over the ideas of what the evening would bring. Well once he arrived at the table it appeared that a few people had already arrived, he had assumed the presence of others after all, games like this usually had a good amount of players otherwise the prize wouldn't be so enticing.

He took his seat across from a young sneasel and a purple-haired male that looked all too familiar. Edan was a musician and constantly had music playing and he kept up with television to a certain degree. He scoffed at the thought, 'This game even dragged in someone that already has plenty of screen time?' So yes, he knew of Salem. They weren't one of his favorite bands but how could he avoid hearing the sableye's voice on the radio?

Instead of acknowledging the male and his social status though, Edan wiped it from his mind, turning his chair to face the side so that he could stretch out his long legs in front of him, crossing them over one another at his ankles. The young girl seemed to make an attempt to strike up a conversation, stuttering out a simple greeting. 'Damn what's she that nervous about?' and so the fiery red head took this opportunity to make his discontent with the ambiguity of the letter known, turning his attention to the man that had lead them into the dining room, "So, I'll go ahead and ask what everyone's wondered. The money, it real?" he asked bluntly, wasting no time on formalities or introductions, he wasn't the boy raised in the nice house with the green front yard closed in by the nice white picket fence.

Make no mistake though, if he saw some reason for himself to be prim and proper he could play pretend but now was not one of those times, this was after all a game of survival supposedly, not a game of charm. Once his question had been asked, he leaned his back into his chair and pressed his right palm firmly against the knuckles of his left hand, creating a loud cracking sound from his joints before dropping his elbows against the back of his chair.

It didn't take long for more people to show & each one pushed passed her as if she wasn't there so of course she stepped aside to avoid being shoved or stepped on. But she was nonetheless upset about being ignored, a puffy pout showing that much as she glared at the new comers walking inside so idly. It seemed to confirm her concerns of the mail, & that she wasn't in this alone after all. At least it was somewhat comforting to know that. That also meant competition though. Shaking her head she put on a determined expression & stepped forward ready to take on this "Haunted House" head on but stopped as a purple haired male chimed up asking her if she cared to come inside. "I'm going, I'm going." She pouted a bit angrily, having the first thing said to her from anyone being something like that wasn't that comforting. But all in all it wasn't a big deal so she let it go & followed after the male, slowing her steps as she went in. The place was nothing like she'd seen anything before. It was quite amazing, yet held that creepy dark factor to it that made her shiver & remember the Haunter she was following.

After quickly catching up she followed him like a lost dog, just being inside the Haunted House drained all her determination & turned her into the coward she really was. It really made her question why she even made herself come here at all. Following close in the Haunter's footsteps she grabbed a seat near him, feeling like since he was the only to have spoken to her she at least had some sort of connection with him already over anybody else here who had ignored her on the way in. Not even 10 seconds after she sat down a red head bluntly asked about the money. Really, Chou hadn't even thought that this could be some sort of trick & the money wasn't real. Was she really that naive? Even more so the red head cracked his knuckles making a innocent & cute freckled face look that much more menacing. The blonde cringed slightly & looked a bit dumbfounded on what to even do but sit there. In fact, she hadn't even taken mcuh notice of the other guests after the Vulpix's outburst.

xxxxxThe shy, smart, cute sneasel sat there. Attempting to spark a conversation with the sableye. She was clueless about who this male was. She had no idea that he was a famous musician. Zoey sat there. Her shaggy blue hair draped over her face, covering part of her red eyes, behind her gold painted glasses. She sat in the large chair, which made her appear much smaller, shrunken in shyness. She didn't socialize much and she felt uncomfortable being in the presence of others who she had never met before. Zoey waited for the sableye to reply, until a tall, slim, ginger male entered the room.

xxxxxZoey received a rocker vibe from the vulpix. Her crimson eyes took note of his features. He had pasty skin, which was accented with hundreds of sienna freckles. All tracing his figure. He had an unusual hair style that looked like medium cut hair, but on the sides, it was shaven. It was an interesting hair cut. He had brown eyes. Zoey noticed his outfit. It was very interesting and showed some skin. Zoey didn't like showing too much skin. She felt uncomfortable.

xxxxxThe sneasel watched the rocker vulpix move to the opposite side of the table, sliding into a seat across from her and the rocker sableye. She felt uncomfortable right at this moment. She was horrible at making friends or socializing. Zoey slid her feet from underneath the table and curled up in the chair. Feeling comfort with her sleeved arms around her legs, hugging them to her small chest. The sneasel leaned against the chair, her back against the arm of the chair. To Zoey, it looked like a throne. Carved with mahogany. The maroon cushion beneath her rear was dusty and stiff. Rotating her buttocks, she made the cushion less stiff.

xxxxxZoey heard the red head ask if the money is real. Her shoulders shrugged. "I-i-i don't know," she answered truthfully, "M-m-maybe." The sneasel nerd didn't know if this was all real or if the money is real. Or that this is just a big hoax played by someone on a reality show or just a random person. She curled into her ball, shyly hiding half of her face behind her legs. Her glistening red eyes watched the ginger. He was very attractive. She noticed the glinting of his silver jewelry, glistening from candles. Down the center of the long table were candle stick stands. With lit candles that flickered. Dancing softly as their breaths carried. Zoey's arms slithered from her legs. Her hands, which were hidden by the long sleeves of her coat, rested over her lips. Silent.

xxxxxZoey's gaze was on the small flame that was dancing upon the wick of the candlestick. Watching it flicker from the breaths and very faint breeze. Mesmerized by the beautiful flame. Her gaze was broken by the cracking of knuckles across the table. Which made her flinch. Her crimson eyes looked to the vulpix across the table, cracking his knuckles. Her nose cringed. She thought that the sound of cracking knuckles was disgusting and made her shiver lightly. The sneasel turned to see a smoochum enter the dining room. She looked shy and scared. Like herself.

His eyes were wandering, scanning, taking in the details of the large house, vaguely aware of the sound of smaller and lighter footsteps closing in on the sound of his boots against the hard floor. After the footsteps had gotten considerably close, his bright red eyes darted over, curious to see what was making them. He wasn't too surprised at what he found, the young Smoochum girl that he'd briefly had his attention on outside of the double doors. Shin couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the girl's actions, though. It was cute in a child-like way how she seemed to follow him around, he was half tempted to reach back and pat her on the head, but refrained from doing so. Instead, he continued to walk down the hall, his eyes moving back ahead where they were finally greeted by a large room, long dinner table, and a few more guests that sparked his interest even further.

The Haunter eventually found himself at the table, sliding quietly into a seat near the end to remain out of the center of attention. He decided to give the Smoochum a curious smile after she set next to him, but soon his attention was pulled to the blunt redhead sitting a decent amount of seats up from himself. This time, however, he couldn't keep the chuckle from escaping, his mood lightening that much more. Shin set an elbow up onto the table and rested his chin in hand, leaning forward a bit.
"I didn't come for it, but it wouldn't be bad to know either way~" he chimed in, a small grin forming on his lips. It wasn't long after that he heard a girl attempt to speak up, his eyes finally glancing over at the other two guests. One he recognized from the other 'haunted house' he'd been to, the other he'd never seen before but her pose was most curious. "Afraid of ghosts~?" he half teased, his expression mildly amused.

Salem glanced at the sneasel who had seated herself next to him. She seemed very timid, and that was new to Salem. He spent most of his time around very social creatures. She was definitely an oddity to him. "Hey there," he said to her, offering a nod. Somewhere during this small exchange a vulpix gijinka walked in. Salem's icy blue gaze now turned to him. He seemed to have quite the rockstar attitude and immediately caught Salem's attention.

It seemed the ginger boy too questioned the existence of the money. The sableye figured that everyone had at least some doubts about it, they'd be crazy not to. The vulpix was now seated across from him and he shrugged his shoulders. "I hope it's real, money ain't a joke to me," he said with a very serious face. Any money that he could pump into his veins was motivation enough.

Soon more gijinka entered the dining area. One was the haunter he had met previously while in a bit of a freak out. The other purple haired man now teased him, a reference to their past meeting. Salem gave a playful glare, "I don't believe in ghosts," he replied. His voice was lacking the confidence that he wanted it to have.

xxxxxZoey's bright red eyes turned to the haunter, several seats between them. He was more toward the end. She would do the same, sit at the end. However, she was too scared to be alone at the end of a table. She wanted to survive and sitting away from the others made her more vulnerable to disappear. The sneasel heard his question, questioning her if she feared ghosts. Uneasily, she shifted her position in the chair slightly. Zoey didn't answer. But her body language spoke out that she was. She hugged her knees helplessly to her chest. Trembling. Of course she was scared of ghosts. She also feared spiders and clowns. Both scared her.

xxxxxZoey heard the sableye reply to her with a smooth greeting. It was as slick as oiled silk. However, she can heard the cracking in his voice. Probably because of the alcohol he has been drinking. The sneasel could tell that this male was a drinker. She sat uncomfortably in the chair. She desired comfort. Zoey was uncomfortable about having to stay in this haunted house. Where pained spirits lurked the halls and the corridors. She trembled, looking relative to a shivering chihuahua.

xxxxxThe sneasel looked to everyone. She looked to the haunter. He looked rather creepy and one that would play tricks. He wore a creepy, teasing grin. His hair was a medium shade of purple, spiked in the back. His outfit was rather peculiar. It showed some skin, like the vulpix. But his showed a bit less. He has a scar across the bridge of his nose. Zoey shrunk slightly, shy and a bit scared. Zoey heard everyone answering the vulpix's question. To be honest, she was doing this for the money. So she can help out her family who is in debt and to help out a few charities. And the rest would go in her savings. But a small part of her wanted to come to this house to conquer her fear of ghosts.

Edan gave a short bit of hearty laughter as the two girls in the room seemed rather put off by his display. It wasn't really a reaction that he was used to, but he couldn't say that it was one that bothered him. Most people took little notice to actions such as cracking your knuckles but he supposed everyone had their pet peeves. It wasn't his desire to get people to like him anyway, he was here for money plain and simple - he already had friends and options, he wasn't looking for more. Besides, they seemed a little too shy to be able to handle his company. Edan was loud and blunt and crude, sure the boy had his good points but his social graces weren't exactly one of them.

"Better be." was his response and he finally turned his chair to face the table and the sableye and sneasel that were across from him. He let his elbows rest on the surface, lacing his fingers and pressing his chin to the backs of them. "Hell, at least I'm not the only greedy b*****d here," he joked, as a response to the rockstar he sat across from, considering the fact that the haunter on the end of the table seemed to have other motives for coming, though Edan couldn't understand why. One million dollars, that seemed like enough motivation for just about anyone to him.

Man, that sneasel girl was shaking in her damn boots. She looked like she was staring death in the face when the purple haired male was messing with her. A part of him was sympathetic but then there was that 'every man for himself' attitude still present that said she needed to chill out and relax. It wasn't like the haunter was just going to jump up and attack her, and hell she came to a place that came with a warning label, if she was so frightened then she shouldn't have come. To the red-head it looked like a game of iron will, and those that could brave whatever spooks and scares were set up would win the game - and this boy intended to win this game.
