AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLMENT FORM Name: Davinica Gabali de Silva Nicknames: Davi Gender: Female Age: 16
Faction/Race Monster - Loup-Garou
Personality: "RAWR, cherie. Reckless and willfully rampant!" Davinica is a girl that loves to live. She's a litle bit of a hedonist, in fact: if she gets it in her head that she wants to do something, she'll often go right to it. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 pumpkin seeds. Swaying the Garou from these often whimisical goals isn't too difficult, however, as merely convincing Davi that there's something awesome in it for her will get her tail wagging.
"Ssh! Reading book. No talking." Her fierce attitude is not an absolute though. She does have an Esteemed Uncle to please, and it's this loyalty that will bring out Davinica's sensible side. That sensibility is the reason you'll see Davi loping to get to class after pulling some prank or loitering with friends, or why she'll hole up in her room just to study for tomorrow's test. She's got a big pack with bigger expectations, and she really doesn't want to let any of them down.
"The ump is blind! Yeah, I know you're part bat!" As one might tell by her clothing, Davinica's not a girl's girl. She prefers things straightforward, without frills, complications and drama: facing the oh-so-delightful dramuz makes her short-tempered and snappish (both literally and figuratively). Many such likes and dislikes can be determined by these quick changes of mood. One moment, you've got a perfectly happy puppy - the next, you're staring down black lips and furious fangs.
"Mine." One of her more prominent wolfy traits, and one that Uncle Gev has made no effort to quell, is the simple fact that Davi is a hunter. It might be that she feels protective of something or someone, or it might be that she just wants it; but for whatever reason, Davinica hunts. She might not even realize she's doing at first. She'll just end up, somehow, passing by your classroom on her daily loitering. She might catch your scent on the street and just happen to follow it. Either way, if this loup-garou decides that you're interesting enough, you might have more than a few chance meetings. But there's no problem with that, right?
Why did they enroll at the academy? Are you kidding? Davi couldn't wait to get into Amityville - she's heard all about it! Uncle Gev and most of the pack oldies thought it would be a good place for her to really get serious about her FEAR, and grow into a truly ravenous wolf. Davi just wants to do her Uncle proud and spend extended amounts of time with kids that don't scratch themselves with their hind legs. She looks forward to learning how to sneak around as well as her Uncle, maybe figure out how to stretch a shadow or three. And for Luna's sake, Davi's hoping against hope that there's someone - anyone - at Amityville who can teach her how to make a good, haunting howl! Oh, it's functional enough - but it's just not as eerie as it should be. It's very embarrassing and if you tell anyone by Jack she'll eat your face.
Fear: - Natural Abilities: Shapeshifting. While she cannot achieve a true human form, Davinica can change into her half- and full-wolf shape whenever she pleases (wolf greatly resembles the Appenine wolf of Southern France). FEAR and speech function in all forms inside Halloweentown; outside it, the power of speech is lost.
- FEAR Ability: Shadowstep. Davinica steps into nearby shadows and darts through them, blurring her from sight. This allows her the chance to draw close to the opponent for a surprise attack, or a disguised retreat. This ability works in all of her shapes. Shadow(s) must be present for Davi to hop into and out of. If she can't fit into the shadow, she can't use it. Talking while using this ability will instantly end its affect. This ability is only good in short bursts. Prolonging its use will exhaust her quickly, ejecting her from the nearest shadow available.

History At an age Davinica can't remember, she was stolen from her father. The man she knows as her "Uncle" Gev dragged her through a door she can't describe, out of a world she doesn't remember. She grew up thinking that his clawed, padded hands and frequent absences were normal. She was raised in his pack, a melodic myriad of mayhem filled with were- and wolves both timber and Appenine. Davi loved the Uncle who kept his face hidden from her forever, beneath a cloak that showed only his grinning fangs, abundant braided beard and gleaming eyes. She took his name as his beloved niece, as her mother had been his sweet daughter: one of those who took the name of "Uncle" Gevaudaun Gabali.
In the human realm Davinica cannot remember seeing, her mother's ashes are buried deep under the earth of a dusty alley in a little city in Portugal. Uncle Gev stalks far away from his scaring grounds of former Gaul, and hunts a man instead. Cayo de Silva thinks nothing of his wife's ashes, not anymore; not since knowing that she gave herself away to the wolves that lurk outside the city's streets. He jumps and twitches at shadows, holding the silver knife he paid good money for white-knuckled in his coat pocket. He wonders why he bothered with silver at all when the knife that cut his wife down hadn't been: it was only a knife from the kitchen, pulled when he heard her voice joining the Iberian beasts outside their window. Used when she walked back in through the door, wild-eyed and radiant, with their child in her arms. Showing her to the wolves, no doubt. Taking her away from him.
He couldn't let her do that.
So he didn't. Cayo conquered the she-wolf and burned her corpse, silencing his baby daughter's wails to the firelight. He moved into the pallid city to escape the howls that ringed closer to their cabin by the night. For seven years of city life, he allowed Davinica's cries to blend into the cries of the wolves that shrieked his name, hunting him in and out of dreams. He gazed with despair into his daughter de Silva's golden eyes and saw her mother in them.
So he bought the silver knife. He climbed up the stairs to their flat that very day, and dismissed the babysitter. He closed the door, shrugged out of his work jacket. Then Cayo de Silva, blade trembling in hand, looked into the child's room and prepared to conquer the wolves. But there was nothing in the room but the howl, and a lank of tawny hair. Cayo screamed. He heard the beasts screaming back.
Now Cayo de Silva cringes on his way home from work, all the way up to his door in the city's weary belly. He fastens the latch of this new, cheaper flat, and trembles as he sinks into his chair. He clenches the knife tighter, even indoors. And he waits, never still, for the beasts that haven't howled at him for years.
And Uncle Gev has not found his prey yet, but he will. He is, after all, one of those Beasts.
Family - Legal Guardian: Uncle Gev, Monster. Infamous as one of the perpetrators of the incident of the same name. Davi thinks of this Beast of Gevaudaun as a father figure and believes that he is her biological uncle. He's taught her everything she knows about being loup-garou, a werewolf. What he actually is to her is an unknown.
- Father: Cayo de Silva. A human who fell in love with Davinica's mother. They shared a moderately happy three years wed before Abigail grew pregnant with and delivered Davi; Cayo grew suspicious of his wife's strange behavior toward their daughter and their long disappearances together. Upon discovering her secret, he did the unthinkable. Davi doesn't remember him. Word of God says he's not her real daddy.- Mother: Abigail Gabali de Silva. A soft-spoken Garou, Abby was always better at nurturing than scaring. She deserted to the human world with the help of Uncle Gev, and devoted herself to helping the werewolf population of the human realm survive, thrive, and find their way to Halloween. She also, unsurprisingly, became an activist for the human world's threatened wolves. Her travels eventually led her from France to Spain, where she settled among the familiar Iberian were- and wolves. It was in this wilderness that she met the husband who would cut her life short. Uncle Gev tells Davi about Abigail often and warmly, making her feel like she knows her mother well. Davi doesn't understand her unwillingness to scare (their FEAR is so cool!) and doesn't share it.
Factoids - Last she measured, Davi was bouncing between 5'8" and 5'9" (it's the ears!). - She loves animals and stuffies. Yes, even the cat ones. Granted, she tends to chew on the prey creatures; the others are her bedroom confidantes. - Underneath all the rough and tough clothing? Girly undies. Bikini, lace, you name it - it's a guilty pleasure.

What the-?
The a-little-less-hung-over secretary stared at the disarray of application forms on his desk. He was pretty sure he didn't stamp ALL of these, and why the heck did they have paw prints all over them?
Scratching his head and slowly picking one up, staring at it as if it were about to scamper away any second. Dear Jack was this student writing up an application form or the Mayoral Peace Prize for outstanding Halloween Citizen?
Well, he wasn't exactly going to argue with a pile of work already done for him. He quickly looked left and right, and upon seeing no Hellma in sight, shoveled all of them into the acceptance folder. Sadly, there, most of them would not survive, due to the gnomes once again forgetting to feed the poor, malnourished shredder.

Davinica has a very interesting past, I must say. I find it interesting that her mother was living amongst the humans in the human world while she grew up, and helped to try and bring back the wolf population. Less on her mother now, and more on Davi herself for the moment:
You say that she is reckless and that she will do whatever she has to in order to get what she wants. I'm curious to know what her aspirations in life are. What does she want to do when she graduates from Amityville. What does she do while she is in school that is so reckless, as well. Does she get into trouble? What sort of activities does she do that probably wouldn't be looked so highly upon. It will be interesting to find out!
I'm also intrigued by the hunter quality you mentioned in her personality. Aside from following a person or another individual, what else does she do? Has she ever been known to actually lash out and jump a person she deems her prey? If she actually hunts someone out in the open or something (or if her hunting mode comes over her at school), she's bound to get in trouble for something like that, I'd imagine. How does she feel when her hunter-side takes over? Does she always give into her urges, or does she fight them from time to time?
Her FEAR and natural ability pretty much check out. They seem sound to me, so there's not much for me to comment on. I like her FEAR ability, though. It's neat, and I like the fact that she has to fit into the shadow if she actually wants to be able to use it!
Back to her history: as I said before, it's really interesting. It's unfortunate that her mother had to die in such a way, especially at the hands of the man who Davi basically thought was her father (though, whether or not he actually is, seems to be up for debate at this point, according to what I've read). It was kind of her Uncle, however, to take her in and raise the young girl, and that he still reminds her frequently of her mom. That's always a good thing, and not only that, but it's refreshing. Things would be a bit different if he never really mentioned her, or if she had no female influences in her life at all. Though, I'm sure she does in her uncle's pack, so that's a good thing.
Lastly is her appearance! I like how she can't fully change into a human form. It makes her more interesting that she can only go into an anthro-like form or her full-wolf form, but nothing aside from that. I'm curious, though: how does she feel about not being able to go into a human form? Does she feel jealous when she sees monsters or individuals at school with wolf ears and a tail that generally look human otherwise except for those few things? It'd be an intriguing sight to see how she interacts in a situation like that! I'd certainly feel a bit jealous or disappointed if it were me, personally.
Awesome job thus far, Disc! I'm curious to see what else you come up with for Davi, and how she acts once she is able to go out and about at the school~
