A small lake awaits you in the middle of a beautiful forest. Many people say the beauty can put you in a trance to dangerous, it can lure you to your death. It's much like the sirens.
Mermaids are rumored to reside in the water, but few have ever seen one. It is best if you not litter or pollute here, as the mermaids are actually quite deadly.

Another flash of brillent light brought a figure into the clearing. Greg dropped to the ground and took a breath. "That was a close one, wasn't it commander?" he asked to his left. But when he looked, nobody was near him. He cursed loudly, slamming his fist into the ground, sending a shock of pain up his entire arm. He realized he had been shot and cursed again....I don't have much energy left.... He took another deep breath, and gripped his scythe tightly again. "Ianuae Magicae! (teleport)" he yelled
((hehe latin=powerful magic. Powerful Magic= loss of energy))

Greg and Anna flashed into the clearing near the blue base. He had been here before, and he noticed a drop of blood that stained the rocks benieth the two. "Welcome" he said wobbling unsteadily on his heels.....I haven't recovered, I shouldn't have left the infermery earlier..... He collapsed onto one knee, breathing heavily.

Anna ran over to Greg. "Are you okay?!" She asked. She was frightened that she had done something. She took his [robe?] off and threw it aside. "Really, you arn't very smart for someone who knows magic..." Anna told him.

Greg coughed out a small splatter of blood. He wiped the remaineders away from his lips and stared at his shadow. "Yeah, don't worry. I just overworked myself." he said which was the honest truth. Although, even as it was the truth, he had to worry. His father used to overwork himself too, and ended up killing himself in the process of an attept at magic. Greg looked up and smiled at Anna. "No worries"

Anna glanced around warily. "So where exactly are we going?" She asked. She helped Greg up and realized she didn't know his name. "What is your name?" She asked him.

Greg stood up and smiled. "Greg, Specialist of the Blue Army" he relpied with a grin. He liked the title a lot, and whenever he was able to proudly say it, he felt more alive. But something about Anna made him feel even more alive. "Uh, anyways. I really haven't thought that far yet." he admitted, scratching the back of his head.

Anna nodded. "Greg.......your such an idiot." She chuckled. "You should think before you act." She told him. Anna sat on the nearest rock by the water. "So specialist, huh? What exactly do you do?" She asked him.

Greg smiled and sat on a tree stump. "Well...I uhh....well, basically, I can get into people's minds, like you saw earlier, and get answers. But that's just one of my abilities. I'm really just the guy that's called in when something specific must be done." He paused and took a look at his robe that he had made more into a loose jacket. The specialist insignia gleaming gold agaisnt the blue. "What about you?"

Anna shrugged. "My father was high rank in the military. Before he died he made me enlist." She picked up a rock and threw it in the water with great force. "I hate him." A tear slid down her cheek. Anna wiped them away before turning back around to face Greg. "I'm just a soldier." She ended. Anna slumped back down on the rock.

Greg stared into her eyes...so filled with sadness. She's the same age as myself, but she seems a lot younger......He stood up and walked over to her. "Even a soldier is important." he said with a half grin. "I don't agree at all with this war, but my parents died because of it, so I want to be able to see it end in my lifetime." He stared out into the lake a grinned. "Want to see something cool?" he asked with a full grin.

Anna gave a half smile. "Sure what is it?" She asked. Anna glanced around the forest, hoping to find some clue on what was going to happen.

Greg smiled and dipped into the remaining energy he had remaining. "Watch this" he glanced to the lake and grinned. "sphaerae aqueae (aqua spheres)" and before them, bubbles began to form on the surface of the lake. They grew larger until they began floating in mid-air. "Now's the fun part." He took a slight breath and chuckled...almost out of energy..... "Aqua erupit (aqua burst)" And the orbs of water exploded, raining the lake down on them for a brief second before he commanded "Frigidus (freeze)" and the water froze in mid-air, tiny droplets of water looking like stars all around them. Greg dropped to one knee and took a look at his handiwork....it worked?....

Anna gasped. "Wow it's beautiful!" She said. The droplets gleamed in the sunlight. She took a step into the water, and leaned out to touch one of the droplets. Suddenly a webbed hand reached out from under the water, and started dragging her deeper into the lake. Anna tried to scream, but water filled her lungs.
