Jin huffed with a breath directed upwards to displace the strands of hair hanging just above his eyelids and fidgeted with obvious, bored mannerisms while he watched Lily inspect produce for sale. The candy she'd given him earlier to placate him was starting to work in the opposite favor and the already energetic lotus child was ready to explode.
Catching a glimpse of something shiny, Jin's fingertips wriggled a bit before being retracted into light fists, itching to pocket the whatever-it-was. Lillian, having already been through an ordeal brought upon by a bored Jin Feng stealing things he found interesting, quickly thumped in on the back of the head with her forefinger and gave him a glare.
"Ow!" It didn't really hurt, but he felt the need to whine anyway and stick his lip out in a scorned pout.
"If you promise not to get into any trouble on the way home," Lily said, pausing to take a drawn out breath as if she was second guessing the idea, "You can get a head start. BUT!" Jin Feng had already started bouncing in excitement right up until she snapped, making him square his shoulders and stand up straight to listen, trying to look like a responsible child. "I'll be right behind you, so no funny business," Lily went on, waving a finger in front of his nose as he nodded obediently and started strolling down the pathway.
Strolling turned to skipping which turned to running in a chaotic beeline down alleyways and on the top of walls to inspect anything that he could spot before the half wild, orange-headed boy plopped down on all fours with a crinkled nose, scanning the immediate area with a craving for some kind of adventure. Or at least a playmate.

Xiulong was ducked down in the shadows of an alleyway, watching the people that were walking around through the market place and seemed to be trying to decide which of those people was worth while when it came to going after them. A smile graced his lips as he spotted one of them that was worthwhile, a somewhat chubby woman who seemed to be shopping. His lips turned up into a smile as he took in what she was wearing, her jewelry, her clothing, the way she held herself. It all spoke of money and that was what Xiulong wanted at the moment. He would show that horrid woman back home that he could do this without get caught he thought to himself, eyes narrowing slightly as he crept forward a couple of steps toward the edge of the shadows.
The boy gave a twitch as he heard someone coming up behind him, instantly he was on his feet and his hand was going into his robes to where his knife was as he expected an attack.. only to find some kid standing there behind him. He tilted his head to one side before he released his weapon and withdrew his hand from where his weapon was hidden and he gave a smile, "Hello there." He greeted the new comer.

"Hello there."
Suddenly a blue haired child stood out from the other figures in the area and was no longer a faceless passerby. Suddenly incredibly interested, if for no other reason than that he was his same age, Jin Feng skittered closer and popped up to a bipedal stance.
"Hi! Who are you?" He asked, getting straight to the point. He had no idea if Lily had figured out he hadn't gone straight home yet; She got distracted a lot and other times not so much, so he didn't have much time to waste when it came to finding someone to play with.

Strange kid he found himself thinking as he watched the way that Jin Feng moved before giving him a smile, "Xiulong." He told the other kid, taking a step closer to this one, trying to look him over closely, getting a feel for what he might be like at a glance. It wasn't a skin he had perfected though unlike his Master who seemed to be able to easily read people, "And you are?" He asked of him, finding that at least this other kid was neat to look at.
The hair, the eyes, the way he moved around, this was a person that Xiulong really thought that he could have fun with... provided that he wasn't either a goody-goody or a snitch his mind reminded him. After all given who he was and who the group he hung out with were the last thing he wanted was to end up dealing with a kid that was all for great justice or something... he would figure that out first before he continued on his hunt for the perfect mark he decided as he waited for the kid in front of him to give out his name.

"Jin Feng," He answered abruptly, and still on his sugar rush, Jin's yellow eyes darted around before briefly landing back on Xiulong. "So hey! Whatchu doing? Wanna play a game? WHOA!" He rambled off at a high speed before he noticed the lady a bit behind Xiulong, the one he had been sneaking up on being right in Jin's eye line. While he had no desire for money, basically anything pretty could catch his attention like nothing else, she she did have a lot of jewelry, and that meant a lot of... reflective surfaces.
He felt his fingers twitch before he made two little fists, recalling how his noted lack of stealth usually led his 'taking without asking' adventures to hiding behind Lily's skirt, and Lily wasn't here for protection.
"Do you know her?" He asked, giving an exaggerated point in her direction. He did, vaguely, have the notion Xiulong was heading in her direction before he really started paying attention.

"Jin Feng." He murmured, pleased to learn the name of the interesting looking boy that he was meeting with. He turned to follow the gaze of the orange haired boy then back again. It would seem as though this boy had sharp eyes he thought to himself before he slipped forward through the shadows, "Know her? Not really, who she is doesn't matter."
He couldn't help but to almost drool as he looked the woman over, "What matters instead is what she is displaying on her person, do you want to lend me a hand Jin Feng? I can offer you any treasure you like from her when we rob her blind." He murmured, wondering if the boy would take the bait. It wasn't a lie after all, given all she had on her he wouldn't mind sharing since there would be plenty to bring back to his Master even after giving his accomplice his share of the loot.
"All you need to do is bring her here, this alleyway is perfect, if you play on the fact that she is a woman and will likely want to help a cute kid help his 'injured friend." He murmured, the appearance of this boy would be great, he'd never worked with a helper before but this would be easier then normal... if he helped that was.

He listened to Xiulong oddly intently, given how short his attention span seemed under normal circumstances, while a gold painted nail was curled under his lower lip.
The moment the other boy said 'rob her blind' he was all over this, and his lips curled into a smile displaying his large canines and a greedy little gleam in his eye.
"I'll be right back," The lotus child said, straightening up and preparing the gimmick needed. Jin Feng actually had no definite gender, and knowing full well his effeminate appearance and how much easier it was to make people react to girls in danger, he seemed to shift into this girlish, dainty, almost fragile demeanor before darting out into open space, then in a less definite line nearer the woman, even tripping for good measure and extra vulnerability before tugging on her sleeve. All it really took was a few near tears and a whimpering plea with a point and he probably could've lead her half way across town.

Xiulong was so very pleased when there wasn't even a moment of protest, instead the redhead was all over the plan that he'd laid out before him. He watched him go before he moved to the far side of the alleyway, away from where the market place was before he plopped down on the ground, leaned his back against the wall, and then pulled his knees to his chest. As he got himself comfortable he reached into his robes to pull his knife, hiding it in the way that he was sitting on the ground. Now all he had to do was sit and wait, hoping that his new partner in crime would be able to bring the woman here.
Much to his delight he heard the sound of footsteps approaching, his eyes remained downcast as though he were scared or hurt until the woman reached them. She reached a hand down to him, seeming to be far kinder then he would have first expected given her mode of dress, and the moment she reached out to him Xiulong struck. He lifted his big eyes to gaze up at her, giving a soft whimper in his throat as though he were so very afraid, and then he lunged forward into her arms to hug her... before the cold blade of his weapon touch against her skin, "Time to give up the goods lady." He murmured, "And do us a favor, no screaming or else!"
He wasn't really sure what the 'or else' would be but it seemed that the threats and the weapon was enough to scare the woman into a trembling silence, "Come on now, no wasting our time, jewelry, coin, everything of value. Toss it to my partner." He ordered her again.
She hesitated for a moment, shifted in place, then did as she was told as she set to taking off her jewelry first. She seemed to go slow, quite reluctantly as well, as she handed the things off to Jin Feng piece by piece. She felt much the fool for wearing so many pretty things out today, she knew that there was a gang in town but it was supposed to be located at the edge of the town at the bath house... she had no idea that they had children working for them either... how terrible to use children to do such thins she thought to herself but still said nothing. Yet.

Jin, seemingly devoid of all empathy for the trembling woman, was all to happy to relieve her off her pretties, making a bowl out of his shirt for the collection. He picked up one ring and sunk a sharp canine tooth into it to test the metal quality. He had no idea what it meant, he was simply mimicking something he'd seen Richard do before proclaiming a trinket he'd stolen from the market was real, but there was no reason he couldn't pretend and look the part.
He was jittery, partially because he was always high strung and partially because this was freaking exciting. Mostly his pilfering involved smashing, grabbing, and running for dear life. Usually to mommy who had to pay for it, which kind of nixed the thrill of stealing.
That and Xiulong had a knife. A real one! And the oblivious little red head's mind was swirling with wonder on how a master like Xiulong convinced his own mother to let him have such a thing. Because in Jin Feng's mind, every kid his age had a Lily holding back their adventurous careers in petty theft.
Once the woman seemed to have nothing of value left, his intense yellow eyes focused on her with their cat eyed slits, wordlessly demanding she leave so he could inspect his loot with his new, only, and first partner-in-crime.

Xiulong smiled when the last of the woman's treasures were given over to them, quite a bit had been tossed to Jin Feng who was using his shirt to held everything and had him nodding, "Good job." He praised his friend before looking up at the woman, "I would consider carefully going off to tell someone, keep in mind that if you do Qiang Di will know." He told the woman as she made her escape.
At mention of the name the woman seemed to stumble a little knowing the name very well and it had her suddenly beating a faster retreat which had him laughing in delight, clapping his hands together. He turned to look over toward his cat eyed friend, "Come on, we should get moving. She is scared but she might be dumb too, thinking that she can get us into trouble even though she knows who my Master is." He told his partner in crime before he led the way in the opposite direction that the woman had gone, "Best thing to do now is to head to the bathhouse, once we get there we will home free and we can pick out your part of the treasure as well. Sound good, Jin Feng?"

Jin Feng blinked a few times at the reaction the name got and made a mental note to ask about it later. He was fairly sheltered when it came to the current events of the city and definitely wasn't one to know about any real criminal that might be lurking around by name.
He gave Xiulong a fast nod in response, trying not to seem like a total dork about being excited to be heading near the bathhouse. He'd never been too near there, having been told that it was a 'grown up' place, so it had a certain exciting mystique to him.
Jin was fast, graceful and light on his feet, so even with loot in tow, he was plainly suited to be hauling it quickly without dropping a single silver piece.
"Who is Qiang Di?" He asked, an almost naive tone in his voice as soon as they started moving. "Do you really have a... a 'master'?"

Xiulong looked over his shoulder, "Qiang Di is the most amazing man alive!" He said, eyes shining as he thought of the powerful man that he followed, "You might be able to meet him unless hes away on business, I hope not though since that would mean that Tian Mi might be around and dealing with her is awful." That woman drove him nuts...
He gave a grumbling sound as he thought about her before shaking his head, pushing the worry about her aside to think on better things instead, "Ah-Ha! There it is." He said, pointing to the large building on the edge of town that was the bathhouse that Tian Mi ran. It was a nice place on the outside, well maintained and well loved, a gift to the woman from her lover to run. It gave them all a place to live as well as doubled as a headquarters for the gang when they needed to gather. He hurried forward to the door and just as he reached out to push it open the door door seemed to swing open of its own accord and there he was.
"Master Di!" He chirped, stepping in closer to the massive man who stood at a height that was quite a bit taller then anyone else in town due to being a half breed. The mountain of a man looked down at Xiulong before giving a smile, reaching a hand out to pat him on the head.
"Where have you been? You were supposed to be with Tian Mi training, weren't you?" He asked of him, looking from Xiulong to the one who was standing behind him. His eyes seemed to take in all of Jin Feng in one swipe, seeming to take in every little detail from head to toe before he was looking back at the bluenette once more awaiting his response.
"Oh, that. She left me to see what I could do on my own... though... I didn't exactly do it on my own, Master Di. See, Jin Feng over there helped me out and we got a haul of treasures all from one person!" He said, motioning over at the redhead.
This seemed to interest the tall leader and he stepped back, motioning to the pair, "Inside then, lets see what you brought with you." His current task could wait in light of the pair returning with a haul of treasures, he had to admit that he was a touch curious about what the pair had brought in this day. It took a bit to cause him to change his plans, especially when he'd been heading out to deal with someone in town that owed him money, someone that was going to end up with a broken hand if they didn't hurry up and bring him back what he was owed.
Xiulong nodded, "Come on Jin Feng! Lets show Master Di what we got!" He said, grinning all the while, obvious eager to show off to his Master.

Jin Feng's imagination quickly started running wild at Xiulong's explanation, building up an exaggerated image of what Qiang Di must be like.
He shifted through several mental caricatures, subconsciously placing a shriveled old witch next to him to serve as Tian Mi's placeholder, given that he didn't know anything about either of them except Xiulong thought one was awesome and the other was awful.
But once he laid eyes on the man Xiulong called Master Di, the mental caricature was quickly replaced with the real thing, and Jin Feng unabashedly stared in awe. Up until now, he had been certain Richard was the strongest man in the world, but now he was manufacturing a scenario where he could watch the large man in front of him beat the ever loving crap out of his mother's assistant. And that was awe worthy and entertaining all at once.
"Hi!" Jin Feng chirruped, silly enough to take a liking to him just because of that one, imagined detail, as well as subconsciously picking up on the fact Xiulong apparently liked him too.
When Xiulong mentioned their haul, he held up his load with a proud nod to emphasize and tagged along behind him, equally enthusiastic.

Due to the time of day Po Zei, of of Master Di's favorites, wasn't anywhere to be seen. A shame because that meant that the one who would around and hanging off of Qiang Di was Tian Mi, something that made Xiulong grumble a bit.
The massive man walked over to the a table that was in the open, waiting area just inside of the bathhouse doors. He moved to settle down on one of the cushions at the head of the table then motioned to Jin Feng, "Dump it out on the table, let me see what you have." He said, he'd gotten a glance at it when the orange haired kid showed off the loot he was carrying in his shirt and he had to admit he was impressed, he would even look passed the fact that it seemed his little dragon was inviting random village children into his schemes.
Xiulong took up the cushion to the right side of the table near to where his Master was sitting and then pointed at the seat across from him, "You can sit there, Jin Feng." He told his accomplice and waited to see what his Master thought of what they had brought home, the boy was shifting in place looking rather eager to the sorting of the treasure.
Just as he'd guessed though the woman who ran the bathhouse drifted over to where they were, left to stand since the two seats to either side of Qiang Di had been occupied by the two boys. Giving them a glance the woman couldn't help but shiver, bad enough that Xiulong wandered around in bathhouse but now he had to bring home some strange friend? She just had to luck with keeping kids out despite them not being welcome given what the place was meant for, "I see you brought home something interesting at last, Xiulong, its about time." She said in a deceptively sweet manner.
He looked up at her and gave a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes before all his attention was back to Jin Feng and Master Di.

After depositing their haul on the table, Jin's first instinct was to sit closer to Xiulong out of familiarity... sort of. He was his normal self, buzzing around to get to an eventual point, but snapped his haphazard drifting to deliberately plop down on the cushion that was pointed to.
He curled his legs close and rested stiff arms on his ankles as he leaned forward and watched both Qiang Di's expression and the pile on the table.
He gave Tian Mi minimal attention, finding her bland and uninteresting and seemed more than entertained simply by the man's presence and the table's contents.
However, when she spoke, he was suddenly attentive and brave enough to shoot her an angry little glance displaying his instant dislike for her. Jin Feng hadn't bothered connecting the dots that this was the Tian Mi Xiulong mentioned earlier, but he didn't like the way she made her statement and he sensed her shiver earlier. He knew that tone, he had been conditioned to assume the use of that tone was hiding an insult, and he knew the sort of people it usually came from and he absolutely detested it more than almost anything else. The landlord's wife was just like that and so was her oldest daughter. He didn't like them one bit and now he didn't like Tian Mi either.
If his attention span had been longer he probably would've given her a wild little snarl and a stubborn frown to make sure she knew it for sure, but light reflecting off something made of gold took precedence over that and he went back to leaning over the table to stare at it.
