Personality:
Giggly and often appearing ditsy, Lizzy is almost always seen with a sheepish smile on her lips and a skip in her step. In fact, it is difficult - if not impossible - to keep her feeling down for long; her optimism seem to be able to shine through in every imaginable kind of trouble.
She is a social butterfly, attempting to befriend everyone she meets while still keeping a small group of "close friends", people she trust enough to share secrets with. Outside of this small group, she might be really friendly but she's always holding back information about herself and her family. She enjoys physical intimacy as much as she enjoys a good chat - one of the first things she'll do when meeting a friend is to give that person a hug.
Having said that, most of her acquaintances can't imagine her having a serious side. However, her close friends and family know otherwise - Lizzy is someone who, regardless of what she does, always put in her 100%. From studies to after school activities to her own hobbies, she will never fail to expect the best from herself. In fact, she is the type who, despite her outward appearances and behavior, studies hard behind closed doors... And end up topping the class. If you ask her nicely, she'll also be more than willing to teach - she only prefers studying alone only because people tend to distract her.
Why did they enroll at the academy?
She didn't - her mother did. She thought it was the only way for Lizzy to "grow up" into a woman fit to run the family's shop in the future. Personally, Lizzy thought that it could be fun although she would miss her friends.
Natural Ability:
Her natural form is a giant Black Widow Spider around a meter in height - since in the story, the spider demons started out as spiders who could change into humans. Her original form greatly enhances her physical strength and speed but the transformation will cause her clothes to be ripped and make her feel "naked"... Thus, she doesn't use it unless she has to since she's more used to her human form after so long.
Able to "spin" spider silk with her fingers - while flexible, it is embed with FEAR and is as strong as steel wires and used to injure opponents by "cutting" them.
Due to inability to control her powers, she can only use one of these at any one time. Plus spiders do not have fingers.
Fear:
Able to "spin" spider silk coated with a poison; depending on the dosage, the victim might just feel a slight burning sensation or be in so much pain that he/she is immobilize; to use, roll a die - the lower the amount, the less lethal the attack. The poison can only be used once per battle since Lizzy has to regenerate it, and might not affect ghost-types and those with poison immunity/resistance. She might also miss; if it hits, no matter the dosage, effects will only last a minute.
With hard work, she should be able to prolong the effects of her poison and maybe strengthen it.

Black Widow Background
Everyone who had read the famous story 'Journey to the West' know of the countless demons after the flesh of the monk, Xuánzàng. Among them was the family of demons known as 'zhi zhu jing' - literally 'Spider demon'. They were ordinary spiders who, over generations of practicing Taoism and stealing the energy of humans, had gained magical powers and could take the form of humans... This sparked the formation of Spider demons in Halloween.
Originally taking the forms of giant "common" spiders, as the story was brought to various parts of the human world, different "species" of spiders were created in Halloween as the term 'spider demon' was not specific. In fact, the species of the spider demon created depended on the human imagining it. Lizzy's ancestors were created as Black Widow Spiders due to their reputation of possessing strong venom, and the fear their "creator" have of them.
Lizzy's Family
While Spider Demons were well-known for having huge families, Lizzy was the only child due to her father's early death; while male Black Widows are known to have significantly shorter lifespans than females, he had died prematurely due to an illness. She was only 3 when he passed away, so while it did make her cry for a few months, her mother gradually took up the role of both parents - talking to her about girl issues while chasing away any boys who had been lingering around her too much... Lizzy and her mother are really close.
Her mother had set up a clothing shop selling clothes made with her own spider silk in Halloween, and intends to pass the shop to Lizzy when she deems her 'ready'. As mentioned, part of the reason for sending her to school was for this.
More about Lizzy
Her Hobbies & Interests :: Lizzy has a love for arts and crafts, particularly scrapbooking. It is not unusual for her to prepare a scrapbook for her friends for their birthdays/deathdays. She also enjoys sewing, often making her own clothes out of leftover cloth from her mother's office. Now that she had moved to the school dorms, her mother made it a point to send her a package full of materials once per month, in order to allow Lizzy to continue practicing her craft in school.
Her Accessories :: Lizzy always bring around a spool of her own spider silk as well as a needle, normally tied to her waist. Not only does it come in useful in battles (spinning silk takes time) but if any clothing or undead need some patching up, she is always ready and eager to help.
Her sense of Fashion :: Lizzy had been preparing to be the next manager of her family's clothing business, after her mother's retirement, since she was 12. As such, she does know what's trendy and what's not - however, she appreciates a unique sense of style, someone who is a trend-setter rather than someone who is a trend-follower. She prefers wearing dresses and skirts, although she often wear a pair of shorts/tights under her skirt in order to make moving around easier.
Her take on Love :: Lizzy is a true romantic, dreaming of candlelit dinners under a full moon (as long as her date is not a werewolf) and going on midnight scares with her beloved. However, she is prone to 'falling in and out of love' - she'll stick with her affections for a man for a year or so, but get attracted to someone else after that. It had happened before, and while she is looking forward to meeting new people in school, she fears history repeating itself... She's not a flirt - she just can't help it! She does hope to find "Mr Right" in school though.

The professor's expression was both sly and rather pleased as she fed this latest application to the Acceptance Bin. She had always admired the Bains clothing store, and her lingerie collection was still much smaller than she liked.
Her good mood persisted, even when the bin started coughing up some less than lovely webbing and destroyed a chair. She never liked that one anyways, it was one used by students and much too comfortable by her standards.
"Do you think I might get discount, Bin?"
