Okay this is a new topic I have decided to do here for the guild just to living things up a bit! Anyways the topic is to post or to talk about your all time favorite faery tale. You can have more than one submission to this forum! Just come in her chat about the classics of Hans Christian Anderson, Lewis Carrol, The Grimm Brothers, Beatrix Potter and many others! I hope we have a fun time with this, and I will be happy to see what faery tales everyone loves and likes!

Alright I am going to start off this topic. My favorite faery tale of all time is the Juniper Tree by the Brothers Grimm.
The story has poem that is childlike and gruesome at the same time. Which was typical for a Brothers Grimm story.
The poem is the following.
My mother she slew me. My father he ate me. My sister Malenka wrapped my bones in a silken shall and buried me beneath the Juniper tree. Kwit Kwit what a beautiful bird am I!
The story pretty much starts out with a mother killing her son for food. The sister sees all this happening and finds sadness towards her brother. After the father eats his son. She takes all of his bones, and bury them underneath this magical tree, that turns him into a beautiful bird. He goes on many adventures and such. So I really enjoy this faery tale...so please keep on posting!

I love the brothers grimm but my favorite story has to be about peter pan. The little mermaid will always be my favorite movie of all time but I love the story about a boy who won't ever grow up.

8/ Why was there a limited time for the voting?
Anywho, I've always particularly liked Beauty and the Beast. X3 Robin McKinnley has some excellent retellings of it.
