is that when you cosplay your fav. character at one of those conventions? how do you know what it takes to make your costumes, cause i remember watching mtv best video games of the year a couple of months ago, and i remember a girl was doing cosplay on final fantasy. i always wonder, how do they know what items to get to make the costume!?
It doesn't really matter what it is made out of. If someone wants to spend the money, they CAN, for instance, make some leather outfit that a character wears. But most of the time people just make the costumes out of materials like cotton or felt. Course Otakon being my first cosplay, I cut up a red shirt and attached blue and white stripes/trim to it. I do not know how to sew, so I used a hot glue gun
