Someone in another branch like 30 minute away from where I work said they had heard I'd been let go. Of course I found out about this when my girlfriend visited me to tell me....at work. Freaking gossip queens. Now I'm all paranoid. I called one of my higher ups but he'd no clue what I was talking about but was actually pretty miffed I called him at like 7:30.
So screwed up.

 I wouldn't worry about it, I mean if you were going to be fired wouldn't they have talked to you about it by now instead of beating around the bush?

Not always, but yes they probably would have done it by now, but I'm still going to worry about it for a while just because it is after all my job and I do care about it regardless of how much I may complain.

I dunno, retail tends to take awhile before they actually do something. I hated my retail jobs... emo
It's a little scary that two people would say the same thing all of a sudden. I'd definitely be questioning where they got their information from. Something doesn't sound right but I'm also a pessimistic person.

Two options
start looking for another job(just in case) Plus studies show that people who already employed are more sought after and receive better offers than unemployed people.
Or
Try to find 2 other employees that are worse than you and get them fired. xd

I said in the OP that I got the basic low down already. I'm more pissed that I'm about to turn 24 and I'm still having to deal with high school gossip tactics....from 40 year olds. And as a matter of fact I'm freaking great at my job which is why. There's people who've been with my company for triple how long I have and I do better than them and to stop striving for perfection in my work if I were to be troubled about my employment would be giving people a reason to not want me there.
