Euterpe was rocking out on his headphones. His senshi headphones were more than decoration. Euterpe had to give credit to the moon kingdom! He had an awesome outfit with awesome headphones and to top off the cake, an awesome scarf to keep himself warm from the coming chill. Coming into early october, the season was a little colder than usual. Euterpe would have liked to say that weather didn't affect heroes but apparently not. That just wasn't.. a superhero-like quality. Power rangers weren't held back by a small little wind-- No, they had giant monsters who traversed through any and all elemental attacks.

Regrettably, Euterpe wasn't immune to nature. It hit him like anything else did. Unfortunately, he wasn't immune from other senshi attacks either .

Euterpe was practicing breakdancing while on his headphones, his body handstanding to flip backwards. As he flipped backwards, a narrow burst of energy shot forth from seemingly nowhere, barely missing the music-themed senshi.

"Whoa--Whoa! What was that?!" Luke had been jarred from the sudden attack, landing not-so-gracefully on his rump, eyes suspiciously turning towards the direction of the attack. Was it.. a youma? or a negaverse agent? .. Euterpe wasn't quite sure what to expect. Except to say his rump wasn't in the best of conditions. Cemented landings were painful!

"Warning! Fisticuffs ahead!"

Sailor Chaonis wasn't the biggest fan of his battle cry: it sounded lame and made him feel like some geeky school kid. Seriously, who said fisticuffs any more? Besides old British gentlemen who were offended and wanted to settle things like men.

No one. It was a pretty unique crowd.

The Senshi of Danger couldn't really avoid it though, as it was how he powered his attack, and he needed to say it. He was practicing his ability to control his energy during his Fisticuffs attack, but it didn't seem to help. What a waste of his time! He powered up, did his punches and kicks, could feel himself accumulating energy and power that he really wanted to use in his attacking, only to have it expel itself randomly each time he tried, shaking the ground, splitting the concrete, bringing down walls or whatever else was around. It was different each time, and he just couldn't figure it out.

"Damn it!"

He sensed something coming toward him and turned, looking for a target to use his attack on instead of the air, but saw it was not a Negaverse agent or a Youma. It was a Senshi.

"I wouldn't hang around here if I were you," the caution tape sporting Senshi warned.

"Well,if I was a sane person, I wouldn't hang around either. Good thing for you, I'm not. You've got company." Euterpe stepped forward, moving away the branches in his path to approach the nearest senshi. He eyed the other for a moment before deciding that he was a safe element, at least, for the moment.

Another senshi?

"God, we're a massive population. I swear, go out at night and you run into our side left and right. Not so much for the negaversers though." He grinned, brushing a hand through his mess of blond hair. He tugged on his scarf slightly to give him some breathing room as he approached the armored male. He looked badass. Euterpe would bet his powers were just as deadly as the man looked. He'd bet ten bucks on it.

"You dont seem to uh .. what's the word for it .. it looks like you and your attack's tempo isn't matching up? Basically, you're out of sync." He commented, obviously noting the man's frustration and resent. Euterpe had assumed that senshi powers came hand in hand with use-- apparently, he was mistaken.

"I know, man. It's kind of ridiculous. Though, I haven't seen many other dudes. I thought I was the only one. I guess I couldn't be, but I guess we're the rare breed." He chuckled at that. Normally he would say he couldn't complain about being surrounded by girls, but there were a few things that kept him from making that obvious statement.

The first was that he had found his girlfriend, and none of the other Senshi came close to how cool and fun she was, so what was the point? He knew Scorpio was the best of the lot, and everyone else fell short, no doubt about it. The second was that the girls he had met were either useless in their senshi skills, or brats.

But really fun to tease, so it evened out in the end.

When the other commented on his powers, Chaonis tensed. He was not good with criticism, constructive or otherwise. He wasn't good with getting help, or being helped freely. If there was one thing the young man hated above everything else, it was looking like an idiot. He hated not being able to control his powers, but now someone had seen it, and he felt like a loser.

It made his chest tighten in anxiety.

"I don't know, maybe I'm just off tonight," he said, trying to deny he needed any kind of help, "they don't call me the Senshi of Danger for nothing."

"Nah. Actually, you're the only dude in this area. I'm secretly a woman who looks remarkably like a male. Right." He gave Chaonis a thumbs up and a wink, posing like a woman.

Although if he was a female, the world might shake at the very least. Shudder from awe.

Euterpe's expression didn't change as the other male hesitantly rejected his offer for help, although his eyes did glimmer with interest when he heard the senshi's sphere."Danger? That's a pretty radical power-- a double edged sword, it would seem." He remarked. To put it in basic terms, the sphere seemed like a wild horse.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Euterpe. I've got the muse of music on my side and she's telling me that I'm sorely out of shape. Perhaps your tempos will match in the heat of a earth-shattering battle?" He held his hand out, hand slightly curved, indicating a "man shake." He didn't think that the senshi of danger (hello, danger?) would refuse. "I'm not normally one to spar since I've got a peace-loving motto but carrying out this whole senshi thing seems to screw everything. I decided that I can take out the peace-motto if I'm helping a fellow comrade."

Also sparring wasn't really fighting. It was a practice to improve one's combat abilities.

Chaonis wrinkled his nose, but not at the idea of a chick who looked like a male. Or even a male dressed as a chick. Either way was fine by him, but he did have one protest.

"I think doing our job in heels would be a bit too much for me. I'll stick with being a dude any day. And anyway, you'd make one ugly chick."

At Euterpe's assessment of his sphere Nate scoffed, nodding his head.

"You have no idea, dude."

He arched an eyebrow at the other senshi's offer. He grinned. A spar would definitely help, and he thought, if anything, it would at least be more fun than trying to train on his own. He wasn't doing very well, anyway, so he might as well try to do something entertaining while figuring out his move.

"Alright, you're on," he said, grabbing the other's hand and shaking it vigorously in what seemed to be a secret handshake only he knew. Releasing the guy's captive hand after a series of shakes and slaps, he moved off a bit to get into a better stance for a fight.

"You ready for this? Cause damn right there's danger ahead!" he called, raising his fists.

Euterpe stepped back to ready for the fight as well, nodding his head, an indication that he would start the sparring first. Immediately following, without waiting for the other's reaction, he charged forward, body lowering to aim a sliding kick at Chaonis's feet. After all, who warned each other when they were coming in a real battle? Olive green eyes narrowing indicating he was getting serious. But his smile never left his face.

But with Euterpe, who knew? He never seemed serious-- it didn't seem to be an emotion in his capacity. Also, for a peace-loving guy, it seemed he had more than a little street battling experience.

His body whirled around fully, his kick going in a complete circle, kicking up the dirt around him, creating a light cloud of dust, coughing as it suddenly flooded his senses and vision.

Chaonis watched the other senshi intently, knowing he would need to stay on his toes for this. And he was right, as soon enough his opponent was charging, and then sliding, at him. He grinned, but it was one of those dangerous fighter's grins that didn't mean he was just goofing around.

Chaonis could get very into his fights.

Instead of moving to dodge Euterpe's attack, he lifted his foot and made to try and stomp on the other guy's lead leg, swinging his fist at the same time to try and hit him.

There were things Chaonis loved to do. Fighting was one of them. Though he absolutely hated working out and training, because they were obligations and he had to do them, which always made him want to do anything but. He still adored the actual fight, and knew that if he wanted to get stronger, to protect people and keep the negaverse and youma from getting those starseeds and taking lives, he had to do those things.

He had never really had something that made him do what he didn't want to do before. It was a big change, and quite the adjustment, with a lot of justifying in his mind why he was training, and why it didn't count as him doing something because he had to. One day he would grow past the need to do that, but for now he was stubborn.

His punch and stomp efforts were thrown off by Euterpe throwing himself into a spinning kick, and he backed up. "Oh yeah?" he growled, a talker during a fight, and he lunged. He opted to bypass the kick altogether by leaping at the guy in a flying tackle, his fist already pulled back for a follow through punch if they hit the ground.

It was quite honorable, the cause that Chaonis was fighting for. It might have been nice if Euterpe had even half of that honor-- senshi duty was still a casual thought to Luke, regarded more as a side job than an obligation. Hey, he had no family to protect and his friends.. well, that was another story.

But neither of these were Euterpe's reason to transform into a senshi. Nothing was-- he had been put in the role of a senshi and was neither resisting it nor was he going along with it. If one asked Euterpe why he was fighting, his answer would likely have been a vague one, relating to power rangers.

Euterpe didn't expect the other to tackle him, white vest meeting ground, a punch narrowly hitting the left side of his face. It didn't hit his eye or cheek but it cuffed his ear good, a shot of pain ringing through his head. With the other taller scout on him, Euterpe tried to throw Chaonis over his head on the ground, struggling as he tried to do so.

(God he was heavy!)

Chaonis grinned at his opponent, having way too much fun with the idea of this fight, even though it had only just begun. He was having a good time, at least, just fist fighting. Even if he had resorted to a tackle already.

He had managed to punch the guy in the ear, which was great. He knew that had to hurt, though he took too long to gloat over that moment and soon found himself being tossed. Landing hard, he scrambled to get to his feet before an attack could come, bouncing back to put some distance between them.

"How about we take this up a level?" he called, grinning ear to ear.

He clenched his fists and charged, yelling his attack as he went. "Warning! Fisticuffs ahead!" he bellowed, though he still thought only people like his dad really ever said fisticuffs any more. But hey, it got his point across: a beat down was on the wind.

His attacked gave his punches and kicks and added boost of strength, making him faster and giving him enough a boost in his perception to be able to keep up with himself. Of course, the moment it kicked into gear it started to gather energy for a discharge that Chaonis just could not control.

Thus the training. Right now, though, he wasn't worrying about that. He was just trying to land a few hits.

Chaonis's attack were hitting Euterpe solidly but it didn't do as much damage, Euterpe's arms taking in the blows. But damage was damage, flinching as it hit. Euterpe was waiting for a moment to come when Chaonis let his guard down slightly but he didn't think it was going to happen.

He winced with eahc kick and punch of pain, several blows landing on him, unable to go on the defensive. .. Euterpe was going home with several bruises tonight.

Euterpe crouched low, slipping past Chaonis in the direction he came from, running behind the other a brief distance before facing him. "Dissonant Resonance!" Out came the magical piano, Euterpe's hands madly dashing over it, struggling to launch a short-lived attack at Chaonis. He meant to temporarily stun the other's sense of hearing-- but with his fist attacks heading Euterpe's way, Euterpe didn't think his attack would last long enough.

His plan? Stun the other and hopefully land a good punch to the gut.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 12, 2010 10:19 am

Chaonis swung and missed when Euterpe ducked under him, letting out a frustrated growl. He shook his head, following the other senshi with his eyes, not wanting to lose track of him in the middle of the fight. He was faster, though, so Chaonis was a bit slow on the turn, hearing his opponent calling his attack.

He clamped his hands over his ears, but that didn't really do much. He could already tell his hearing had been messed up. But who needed to hear, right?

Charging full speed, he ran at the musical senshi, pulling his fist back and leaping at Euterpe in an effort to punch him right in the face.

And then everything started shaking.

"Damn it!" Chaonis yelled, a bit too loud, as the floor started to crack and split open like it had been struck by an earthquake. A lamp post nearby buckled and bent, then started to fall toward the two senshi. Chaonis could not control this part, nor could he even decide when his own attack ended. It was what had him so infuriated and frustrated.

The punch that Chaonis was throwing never came-- The pain that Euterpe was expected never came. But when the ground cracked open, Euterpe neatly backflipped to the side, flinching at the sound of bending metal.

His eyes widened, olive eyes suddenly very focused on the fallen metal post on the ground. Euterpe wasn't quite sure what had happened here since Chaonis's fists had enver made contact with the lamp post over their sparring match ... After a long pause, he looked back up at Chaonis.

"Dude. You've got issues."

It was a double edged sword. Unpredictable-- Chaonis's sphere certainly was a wild horse. A wild deadly unicorn was more accurate or so Euterpe thought. How would Euterpe fare if he had been hit with that? Not so well, probably.

"Uh ..."
PostPosted: Mon Nov 15, 2010 11:23 am

Chaonis sighed, shrugging his shoulders helplessly. Like he had come to terms with the fact that yes, that was bound to happen, and everyone else just had to deal with the rampant, unpredictable damage. But, of course, he wouldn't have been sparring if he didn't want to try and get it under control.

It was just easier said than done.

"I know, I know," he said, shaking his head. "That's the problem! When I'm fighting I can kick some total a**, but then it just decides to stop whenever it wants and break everything. I dunno, man."

He sighed.

Euterpe wasn't about to dole out pity. No, pity wasn't in his vocabulary at the moment. Why waste time feeling sorry for yourself? It didn't change anything. Instead of the customary pat-on-the-shoulder, Euterpe held out his fist for a fist bump with Chaonis.

"Dude, your sphere's extreme. Just the way you are-- Trust me, when you get that wild horse under control, it's going to be wickedly awesome. There's a reason it's a wild horse right now. To balance out with it's future mountain of win." Euterpe made a clicking noise and a wink towards Chaonis, giving him a thumbs up with his other hand. Euterpe wasn't known for the most sensible of people but he was an optimist! An extreme optimist, if you wanted to go by his terms.

"You'll get it down dude. Feel free to call when you want to hang or spar-- although preferably later than sooner I'm in a world of pain tonight." Already, he could feel the soreness creeping into his muscles. Somebody was going to apply ointment tonight-- ugh, this was the time he wished he had someone that could do it for him instead of himself. He was lucky, that as a senshi, one healed a little faster than the normal rate. (There was one tiny step towards the possibility of regeneration.)
