The cool night slowly encroached upon the horizon as the day set and the sun rolled down the horizon. The starlit sky slowly moved to the horizon, its cool breeze and mist filled the air with an odd other worldly scent as the night flowers bloomed. Over by the lake, soft splashing noises could be heard. The silhouette of a another soq still lingered there as she waded slightly into the water, around to chest leve. Her wings folded up on her back.

The day was dieing on the horizons edge casting hues of darkening purple and blue across the sky. It mixed- nay it over took the last few embers of remainging gold and pink. like the last few troops still fighting the battle long after the sound of retreat reached their ears but not their hearts.
It would be comepleatly dark soon not that it mattered much to her.
As she was near enough by natures desighn a creature of the darkness herself. Her eyes wich peared out from under a mask made from the skull of the kalona that had slain her family, were
made for low light. liken to emerald flames in the way
that they glowed and flickered. Her cloven hooves thuded against the ground at a steady pace and her taterted battle vestments and long royal purple mane rustled gently in the
rapidly more chilling night air.
The smell of freh water nearby caused her tounge to dry. For a moment she was torn between her self appointed duty to make her rounds or to clench her thirst.
it will only be a moment she decided vearing off her path and down a small winding trail propably ussed by rabbits to the rivers edge.

Upon closer inspection to the speck of red over at the horizon. the red shimmering off her feathers, even more with the clear water washed over her. Her eyes glowed slightly as the dark violet overtook the orange hue of the sunset light, giving her that eerie glow among the start of the night. Stepping up slightly to the shallows, her wings unfurled to shake off the excess water, the shimmer of the droplets reflecting what light was left in the sky.
Turning to the direction of the old rabbit trail. She sensed that she wasn't alone....

emerging from the woods thesh-ah spotted an unushual purple and red feathered soquilli. She resemled a cross between a blood peacock and a hawk.
Dosent look like a wind breed nor a Angie or a Kirin even . . .perhaps a off breed of a skin walker? She thought aproching the waters edge confidently yet cautiously. Her eyes fixed on her could be enemy.
"evening" she said in a civil yet guarded tone.

"Good Evening." she replied with a soft and nervous smile. "Ummm..... you're....not going to eat me are you?" she asked slightly to her. "Um...no offense meant."

Thesh-ah tilted her head to one side puzzles by the odd question posed to her.
"I would ask the same of you but it seems you tool the word from my mouth." she replied walking up to the waters edge and takeing a sip.
"I'm thesh-ah and you are?" she asked looking the mare in question over she appeared more bird than horse. . . .like an extream version of a wind soq perhaps?

The red winged soq shook herd gently."I'm sure I'm not here to eat you...Can't do it anyway." she replied. "Raven. Nice to erm... meet you." she guessed. A bit, well, slightly phased at her looks and shocked at the fact she looked more like a dead horse with her skull on.

Thesh ah gave a smile from under her mask. She knew better than most that her appearance wad less than welcoming seeing as how she had done it to herself. . .regrettably irreversibly.
She laughed a little at the eating comment.
" ha ha yea i doubt i would taste any good anyway. I was just admiring your feathers they look like sunlit rubies draped in a veil of purple. Quite fetching." she commented walking over to a small patch of grass that grew along the shore and taking a fee nibbles.

The red winged soq smiled gently. "Thank you." she replied. "Your mask is kinda cool too." she replied. "Creepy but...It's got the goth look when you think about it." she replied in all honesty, though biting her lip, hoping not to anger her. She seemed nice.

Thesh-ah laughed in good humor. At least this red one spike her mind or spoke to her at all for that matter.
"Gothic I do suppose it is." she added.
"tell me what are you doing out wondering by yourself." she asked safety was her driveling focus in life and she didn't approve of most soq wondering about alone seeing as how most of them were hardly equipt to defend themselves.

"I'm more of the exploring type. I haven't been around much to be honest." she replied to the creepy looking mare. She was honestly enjoying her company actually Feeling that she wasn't going to be eaten, she offered a branch of berries she had found earlier, offering some to her "Hungry?" she asked, wanting to save some extra for herself but changed her mind.

"these are really good goodness what kind are they or better yet ware did you get them?" she asked munching asu happily.

"They came from the edge of this area." she replied with a soft smile and nod. "Berries I guess." she replied. "They looked and felt like it. I'm not sure of the name." she thought for a bit. "Flying? I love to fly..."

Swallowing her mouth full of delicious berries Thesh-ah smiled broadly
"i suppose i would like it to if i could fly. in fact Ive often wondered what it would be like." she looked up at the sky them giving a somewhat distant sounding sigh then a shrug "perhaps in another life i shall know such a joy. but for now i had best be going i still have much area to cover before i can head back home." she said at last
