Mel grazed in a grassy field that was still partially green despite the extreme heat over the past few days. There was a lot going through his mind, mostly revolving around his daughter. It’d been so long since he’d seen her and she had been scarred, attacked, and now with a new stallion who resembled a kalona. She’d chosen him over her own father. What had gotten into her and what exactly had happened to her and between that new guy in her life. Sure she’d said she would see him again when she was ready but she was all he had… With a sigh he tried to shake it all out of his mind for now.
JessieRabbit88 (8:40:02 PM): Keely walked through the sunlight and looked around the place. She had been spending more time in the sunlight since she had met Mel. He had gotten her used to it. She smiled as she looked down from the mountains and saw a male in the grass. She quinted and smiled. It was Mel! Her ears perked up and she smiled as she made her way down to him. She had been wondering for a while what had happened to him and was excited to see him and tell him how she had been getting along so far. She emerged through the trees and made her way over towards him.
Vollyballrocks91 (9:09:54 PM): Too lost in thought he almost didn’t notice her until she was right upon him. With a lift of his head he noticed Keely and smiled. “Well what do you know, either I’m dreaming or someone’s out enjoying some sunlight. How’re you, Keely?” He had kind of up and left suddenly last time, he felt bad about it but something tugged at him. Luckily he had gone or he wouldn’t have run into his daughter but it seemed something wanted him to meet Keely again because here she was. What were the chances?
JessieRabbit88 (9:15:03 PM): Keely smiled and looked at him. "No your not dreaming. I've been trying to get used to the sun more." he said with a smile as he looked over the male. "What have you been up to today? It was kind of sad when you ran off so suddenly. I've been hoping that everything was ok. You seemed upset still. You look much happier today. Or are you just happy to see me?" she asked with a smile as she walked closer. She looked over him and flicked her tail. "Mind if i hang out with you for a while tonight? I've met a few others since i started coming out in the sun but your still lots of fun to talk to." she said. He was also the most attractive male she had talked to.
Vollyballrocks91 (10:33:38 PM):"Well that's good to hear, have you been seeing and learning new things seeing them in a different light? And I apologize for disappearing so suddenly I...can't really explain it but I felt I needed to leave. I don't feel any happier than normal so it must be I'm happy to see you," he smiled. "Of course I don't mind you hanging out with me as long as you want to." He debated on if he wanted to tell her about his daughter and how far he wanted to drag her into his personal life.
JessieRabbit88 (11:16:46 PM):Keely smiled at him and nudged his neck. "Oh well good! Cause i was happy to see you again as well! I'm sad that your not really happier but it makes me happy to know that you are happy to see me." She said with a smile as she walked closer. "So where are you going? Having fun? Headed off someplace special today?" she asked with a smile as she looked around. "There's not much over here so was it just the grass that called you over here to graze?" she asked with a smile as her tail flicked again as she watched him with a bright smile. "And yes, i have been seeing and learning alot." Her eyes brightened and she smiled happily.
Vollyballrocks91 (11:22:09 PM):She definitely was still the very chatty mare he met last time though. "I'm not going anywhere in particular and no I'm not really having fun," he chuckled. "Yes it was just the grass, just getting something to eat before the sun set and it was time to get some rest. Though I don't think I'll be getting any rest now that you're here. Unless you've fully adjust to the ways of us who walk during the day."
JessieRabbit88 (7:56:32 PM): Keely smiled at him and tilted her head. "no fun! How come! You need to have a little fun." She said with a smile as she pressed her shoulder against his. "Oh come lets go for a run! I Just got up a few hours ago so i'm sure you'll sleep again before i do." she said with a smile as she nosed him. "Lets go for a run! Come lets go explore! Doesn't that sound exciting!" She said with a smile as she pranced around him with a smile.
Vollyballrocks91 (8:08:39 PM):Mel chuckled at her and shook his head. "A run? Didn't you just wake up, you should be tired." He bumped into her lightly. "How about a compromise and we go for a walk, better way to enjoy the sunset. Plus you miss too many things if you're moving too fast. How 'bout it?"
JessieRabbit88 (8:21:07 PM): Keely smiled at him and nodded. "I guesssss so!" she said with a playful smile. she pressed her shoulder back against his and smiled. "I did just get up a bit ago but i like to move. But I'm sure your tired, getting this close to night, and we don't need you useing more energy then you need to. But i'm happy to just spend some time with you." She said as she lead the way off for their walk. "Are you having a good day?"
Vollyballrocks91 (8:35:28 PM):Mel kept his pace even to hers as they walked in the cool evening. "I guess. Not really a great day but not a bad day either so I guess it's just one of those normal ones....So why do you like hanging out with me?" He laughed. "I mean I can't be good for conversation, especially when I'm like this."
JessieRabbit88 (9:57:43 PM): Keely looked at him and laughed softly. "Oh you are lots of fun! I love hanging out with you. Your the only one who doesn't try to scare me off. And your the only one that tolerates having me around when...i guess i'm annoying or something." she said with a laugh as she walked with him. "Oh well at least it wasn't a bad day! I hate having bad days." she said softly.

Theres been a time skip to where Keely is taking them on an adventure up the mountains

Keeley: *stood and stretched. She was Excited to take Mel up the mountain on an adventure today! She had taken Mel to a new area that neither of them had been in before to go to a mountain they didn't know. She shook out her hair and stretched a little as she looked at Mel who was near her. She had slept a long time when they started out so that they could travel during the day only. She had been spending more time in the light but she hadn't spent this much time in it. They had to keep sticking to the shade during the high sun hours cause she sometimes got a burn on her nose from the sun but it was getting better. She flicked her tail and looked around for something they could eat today.*
Mel: *ears twitch as he shifts in his sleep and rolls over completely with a sigh, obviously not ready to get up*
JessieRabbit88 (12:27:25 AM):Keely:*Walks closer to Mel ad noses him at the neck* Get up we have to get some food before we move on further.
Vollyballrocks91 (12:28:38 AM):Mel: *groans and tries to cover his head* Five more minutes.
JessieRabbit88 (12:30:32 AM):Keely:Nope if i have to be up when its sunny then you do too. Come on you. *She said as she nosed him again*

Vollyballrocks91 (12:55:40 AM):Mel: *ears twitch as he sets the apple down with a sigh* How am I supposed to be a gentleman if you won't accept my offering? Seems like you're being the butt now *bumps her with his rump*

JessieRabbit88 (12:58:44 AM):Keely:*Smiled and ate her apple happily. She finished it then moved over to a patch of nice dew covered grass*

JessieRabbit88 (1:00:51 AM): Keely:*Looked over her shoulder at him and smiled* We'll try to get to the base of the mountain today. sound good?

JessieRabbit88 (1:04:48 AM): Keely: *Smiled at him and nodded.* Are you done eating? *She asked with a flick of her tail*

JessieRabbit88 (1:08:30 AM): Keely:*Smiles and nodes* Is a good idea. I hope that we can find lots of new things as we go along!

JessieRabbit88 (1:21:30 AM): Keely: I used to live in a cave on a mountain. *she said with a smile as she bumped his neck with a smile* I'll try to not run into others then. I don't want to upset you.
Vollyballrocks91 (1:27:00 AM):Mel: *flushes* Sorry. It wouldn't upset me I just...don't know what sort of characters live up there. It seems so antisocial and away from everything.
JessieRabbit88 (1:28:15 AM): Keely:*Smiles and nuzzles him* Don't worry its ok. I know your antisocial. But not all of them are too bad. And you need to meet a few more people besides me. Or am i going to stay with you all the time to keep you company?

JessieRabbit88 (1:57:15 AM): Keely: Really?? oh good i like to be fun cause i don't like knowing that nothing new and fun happens with you!
Vollyballrocks91 (1:58:15 AM):Mel: Well..that's not really true. Something new did happen...when I was gone for a while.

Vollyballrocks91 (2:14:37 AM):Mel: *eyes lose a little bit of the happiness they held* She was attacked. Hurt and broken. But healed when I saw her and with some stallion who resembled too much a kalona. She acted differently...It was like I barely knew her anymore
JessieRabbit88 (2:15:50 AM): Keely: Oh that's no good! Will she be ok with him? I don't think i like the sound of this. Is he trust worthy? Did you like him?
Vollyballrocks91 (2:20:20 AM):Mel: She protected him. I made the mistake of accusing him of hurting her and she...blew up. I've never seen her that way before but she defended him. Said he saved her life which I'm grateful for but..I don't know. I guess I have to trust her, right?
JessieRabbit88 (2:23:00 AM): Keely:Oh well for you i hope that's all true. It would be sad if he ends up hurting her. She sounds like she really likes him. I hope it all works out for her.
Vollyballrocks91 (2:28:40 AM):Mel: Yeah..I tried to get her to come with me but she wanted to stay with him..So I made her promise she would come to me when she was ready.

Vollyballrocks91 (2:43:18 AM):Mel: I don't know how it makes me feel. It was an accident and the mother has moved on and made another family, Kahili has always been a wild spirit and my other daughter vanished when she was a foal. I don't really feel like a father most of the time.

JessieRabbit88 (3:21:31 AM): Keely: When your so deep in the cave that you cant get out to find grass you eat what you can. *She said with a smile* I did tell you it tastes really good! I'll show you some time.
Vollyballrocks91 (9:40:51 PM):Mel: No I think I'd make sure I could get out of the cave so I could eat some normal food. Moss has...weird texture.
JessieRabbit88 (9:47:12 PM): Keely:*Smiled at him.*Well i had to live deep in them. My mother didn't like to live too close to the top cause she didn't like sunlight. So thats what i had to live with between our night visits to the surface.

JessieRabbit88 (9:58:30 PM): Keely: *Smiled* Well she was nice to me. But she wasn't that nice to many others. She liked to keep me safe, and it was hard to get out and into the open when i wanted to be out. I don't know my real family really but i'd like to meet them at some point i think.

JessieRabbit88 (10:08:45 PM):Keely: My real family? no. I know i have a brother. And i know my fathers name is Gaven.

JessieRabbit88 (10:11:03 PM):Keely:*Nods* thats why i want to make friends. And why i like hanging out with you so much. As well as why i want to have a family soon. *she said with a small, sad smile as she looked at the ground*
Vollyballrocks91 (10:27:37 PM):Mel: I'm sorry. My family is big on..well, family. I don't know a lot of the members of my family because it's gotten so big. I have avoided them for a while because I feel like I'm the odd one out, everyone's paired off with children and then there's me, single and alone.

JessieRabbit88 (11:13:29 PM):Keely:*Frowns and looks at him* Cause i want to help you. And i would like to be able to help you out there. *She said with a smile as she flicked her tail against his leg*

Mel: I'm sure I've said this a million times but summer weather did not prepare me to be on the top of a mountain. I need my thick coat for this weather *shakes himself to stop another shiver* At least it's not winter, we'd be frozen solid.

She had been getting more friendly the longer they were together and she knew she had alot of feelings for him, just had been too shy to tell him* We can look for a cave someplace to get warm in so that you feel better?
Vollyballrocks91 (10:54:15 PM):Mel: I've definitely gotten more used to it the longer we've been up here but don't you still get the chills once in a while? The body is so used to the heat of summer it's confused up here, I bet my winter coat will be growing soon and then I'll be all out of the loop *laughs and rests his head on hers* You are warm though, so that helps
JessieRabbit88 (11:03:46 PM):Keely:*Smiled at him as he rested his head on hers and fought back a blush.* Oh well good. I'm glad i'm warm cause i cant tell. I don't feel cold but i don't feel warm. I'm comfortable. I think its from all the years underground that i don't mind this at all. *she said with a smile.* We'll make our way back down tomorrow. Or at least to a lower part of the mountain to explore.

Vollyballrocks91 (11:13:38 PM): Mel: ...No that's alright we can head back down tomorrow >.> We should find another of those caves to sleep in for the night.

They had been traveling about for quite a while now and she loved every moment. She felt that she was getting closer and closer to him everyday. Waking up one morning she stretched and looked around to see what Mel was up to.*

Mel: *wanders on through the fields with Keely by his side* Well that was an interesting morning, always fun to try new things *smiles at her and after a while, notices someone in the distance* Well I'll be damned.. *he didn't say a word and only waited for the mare to see and recognize him, the momentary panic in her eyes when she hadn't known who it was pained him. She was still hurting* Kahili.. *nuzzles his daughter*
Kahili: Hey dad...who's that? *nods to Keely*
