Reed didn't particularly hate shopping, not really. He found it stressful, time consuming, necessary, but not something he needed to hate. Sometimes he wondered if he should just start buying his clothing online, save himself all that work and order off of a well known website. He knew deep in his heart that he could never handle that, he was quite picky about what he wore, how things fit..A bit of a perfectionist really, and he hated getting sent things on holidays and such, only to turn around and return them for proper outfits.
Online shopping would just be another way for someone to mess up and make his life that much harder. After all everyone knew it was more difficult to return things then it ever was to purchase them. He found himself some free time today and decided that he absolutely needed new clothing, everything else he'd been wearing was starting to fade or become ill fitting from multiple washings and daily mishaps. Which happened a lot, between Reed's obsessive gardening and his late night work for the negaverse..
So here he was shopping, browsing the various stores before finally setting his sights on the mall. Thrift stores were nice and cheap, but there was nothing better then getting a good brand name that would outlast other used or lesser grade clothing. Wandering a bit aimlessly at first, there were so many shops here, he just needed to find one that fit his tastes best.

Fiona Watson was most certainly a shopper, she could easily spend hours in a mall or a store shopping. At the same time she was a well rounded, often researched shopper. She never went in to a store without some idea of what she wanted . Depending on her schedule, and time allowances, Fiona could easily get in and get out in less than 20 minutes. If she really wanted, which honestly wasn't too often because frankly she loved being around clothes and trying on things she knew she'd never wear just for the fun of it.
Of course none of that mattered because right now, unfortunately, Fiona was alone, all by herself.
She needed someone to shop with that would compliment her and tell her she looked in things. As she stepped out of Forever 18, without a single bag in hand, she scanned the mall for some sort of familiar face. Maybe she could find someone to help her.
Then she spotted him, a boy from school. She put on a large grin and sauntered over to him. "Hey! Don't I know you?" Yep. Perfect way of starting a conversation.

Reed froze in his window browsing, hearing someone distinctly feminine call out to him..at least..he assumed it was him who's attention she was trying to get. "That depends, do I owe you something?" Reed quipped edgily as he turned to face a surprisingly sharp dressed girl. A look of mixed curiosity and confusion crossing his face, he couldn't for the life of him place her name, but that face. She certainly seemed familiar to him.
"Huh, you know, on second thought maybe you do know me, though I've completely forgotten you. I'm terrible with names." He'd never seen her shopping, not in the park, certainly she wasn't part of the negaverse, though he'd only met a few other Lt's and never bothered to ask about their civilian lives, let alone they're names. Maybe..maybe..."Ah, school! What school do you go to?" If she went at all, that was the only thing that could fit, he must have seen her at school somewhere, she wasn't a teacher of course, but maybe a student?
Reed found himself staring at her, eyes narrowed slightly as he tried desperately to jog his memory somehow. She really did seem familiar to him.

Fiona smiled at Reed when he responded to her. "That depends," she retorted quickly, "if you know who I am or not." With that up in the air she waited for him to ponder the thought of who she was. She wasn't exactly outgoing in school, she talked to people and friends for sure but she certainly didn't go out of her way to do so. When she was out and about however(but only when she was alone) she didn't hesitate to go up to someone and drag them along with her.
But only sometimes.
"Sovereign Heights," Fiona answered brushing some of her hair back over her shoulder. "I'm Fiona, Fiona Watson," she giggled softly as she tilted her head. "You're..." she pressed her lips together and tapped her chin thoughtfully, "Reed right?"

Well that was it, they went to the same school. Whether he'd seen her in class, or maybe briefly passing in the hallway, he had seen her. Had learned her name even, though she couldn't have been that important to him or he would have made sure to remember her. "Exactly right, I suppose that makes you the better person for remembering my name while I forgot yours. Though I cant imagine how, Fiona is a lovely name." Reed chuckled thoughtfully, it wasn't a lie,not really..a bit kiss up for him...but Fiona was a lovely name if ever he'd heard one for a girl. Certainly better then most other average names out there, all the mindys and alexas, blah.
"So what is it your doing all the way out here, I mean I could state the most obvious reasons, but I'd rather hear it from you." He was sure she was out on a shopping spree with her gal pals, in with some fashionable rich click of giggling gleeful students. Then again, he didn't see anyone else around, really she looked quite alone which seemed strange, girls usually traveled in packs didn't they? Like wolves, or ducks, something like that...
"I'm browsing for something good myself, clothing wise, though it's a lot tougher then I thought it'd be." Not that Reed had anything against the fashion design world, but he'd sooner dye his hair pink then slip into a pair of girl jeans and man-scara... Really the poster models were completely unrealistic for advertising, specially when they were trying to advertise to him.

"I like to think that I have a pretty good memory," Fiona replied cocking her head slightly. She batted her eyelashes at him prettily, in that way that girls did when they were trying to get something from a boy. "I know," she replied with a little giggle, "but thank you, it's good to know that someone else agrees."
She was flirting, just a little, but that was because she couldn't help it. She was vain and loved having people compliment her and if flirting with them a bit helped her get those compliments? Then she had absolutely no problem doing so.
"Shopping, unfortunately all my girls abandoned me so I'm all alone," she sighed dramatically placing a hand on her cheek while she pouted. "You're shopping too? Having a hard time?" She grinned, this was her chance!
"I think I could help you with that," she told him.

"No, a girl shopping alone, and such a cute one? That just cant be!" Reed kicked himself mentally, why was he flirting back? Silly things like that shouldn't have had an effect on him..though she wasn't bad looking..and thankfully she was his age, or at least close to it, unlike other girls he'd run into recently. "Yes well, I'm not exactly a shopping pro myself. I mean, you don't need to burden yourself with helping me, I might slow you down even."
Reed gave up a sad puppyish frown, of course he was going to take her help, he hated being in groups, but he knew he was going to hate shopping alone even more. It'd be much easier...heck..more fun even! To make his way through the mall with a good looking companion who knew what she was doing, rather then to go on drearily all by himself, scowling at shop windows and those ugly shop stereotypical clerks behind the counters.
"It wouldn't be right of me to refuse your help either, would it? So I'll have to accept, I hope you don't mind me too much Miss Fiona." Reed veritably purred, this was kinda fun, this little game, and she seemed clever enough to be interesting, a bit peppy even? Yes, it'd definitely be fun to shop with her!

Fiona grinned at his attempts at flirting with her. "Oh you know, people have jobs and school is a lot of work," she told him waving a hand around for emphasis. "Oh, you don't have to worry about slowing me down, I'm a shopping pro," she told him confidently. "We'll find you a nice new outfit or two before you know it!"
Fiona was a girl on a mission, to find a couple of cute outfits for herself and maybe a few for this obviously fashion-confused purple haired boy. "Now we have to find things that go well with your hair color first, is there any specific color you enjoy wearing or..." she trailed off as she began to babble on and on about what they could do for him.
"Do you have a specific style of pants that you enjoy wearing?" She asked tapping her chin as she gave him a once over.
