OMG, it's neither anime nor CG.

If you're wondering about her creepy eyes, she's a Changeling. (D&D race descended from Doppelgangers)
And don't point out any flaws to do with the hand, for I realise it looks more like a number of thin sausages mashed together. xd But aside from that, I need criticism - I hardly ever do realistic portraits and it's all unfamiliar terrain to me @.@

Waaaah. eek Very good pencil (?) rendering there. I especially like the hair. 3nodding

Aside from the sausage-finger hand you mention, something looks funky about the foreshortening/anatomy on that arm - like, the forearm looks too short, or at least at the wrong angle compared to the hand. It's also hard to tell where the elbow is so that throws off the rest of the arm.

Hope that helps. domokun

like you know, sketches out the drawing before refining it.

Zahir: Yeah, perspective is pretty much my biggest weakness. I've been trying to shove some amount of foreshortening in all my work lately, with varying levels of success.

Page Boy: I do a very light sketch on the same piece of paper as the finished product, and erase it as I go. Just enough for me to know where I want everything to go, and then I just shade/outline away.

I love this drawing. I don't know which part is my favorite... I might have to say the hair. I have this weird hair-love when it comes to art. redface But the shading on the armor is lush as well...

Hooray for sausage fingers! domokun

You've got some extremely bangin' contours going on here with all the wrap-around fabrics that you put on her. I am looking at her left arm and how the foreshortening is halted by the lack of extreme contouring done.

It looks like her arm is too short rather than going into the background.

The other anatomy issues you're showin' us can be worked out with dedication and perseverance. Your spacial relationships in relation to your anatomy are gonna need some "from-life" or "copy what them other guys are doing" study.

Keep your eye on the way three dimensional forms overlap and "hide" other forms.

You've got some amazing shading abilities. Watch how you cut off limbs with image borders as it'll take away from the composition of the entire pic.

Maybe try different facial expressions and emotions when creating an interesting portrait. I bet you could watch people emoting and get some good sketching in for that.

Hoorah. Don't stop drawin'.

What?
