Personality: Cool and ambitious, Date can be impulsive when it comes to battle and views fighting as a challenge, often taking on as many weaker enemies as he can at a time in order to 'keep his blades sharp'. When it comes to stronger enemies, however, he prefers (and prefers for the Devil Kings) one-on-one battles which test the true strength and skill of each person. If anyone issues a one-on-one type of challenge with Date around, he will personally enforce the sanctity of the challenge so that no one interferes with the duel. Likens himself to the great Japanese Daimyo Masamune Date, who is his namesake, and believes himself to be (truthfully or not) the reincarnation of the 'One-Eyed Dragon'. Despite his eccentricities and ferocity in battle, outside he is actually somewhat jovial with civilians and people who don't anger him. He enjoys drinking sake and relaxing at local taverns, though his wild attitude often leads him to boisterous celebration and ejection from any respected joint. Bio: Most of the files of the Devil Kings are covered in black ink, so little is known about them prior to their assignment to incidents in Japan. What is known is that Date, like most of the members of the Devil Kings, believes himself to be the reincarnation of one of Japan's fiercest and most famous daimyo, the original Date Masamune. Eccentric and strong, his sense of honor in battle has earned him the respect of his followers and the people who know him...while his ferocity has earned him quite a vicious reputation amongst enemy and friend alike. Even the Yatagarasu have heard tales of the 'One-Eyed Dragon' and his band of Devils, Date being the most frequently mentioned in them all. Though details are always sketchy about the situations that they allegedly entered and emerged from, one thing is always clear...in the end, they always complete their mission...and they are not a force to be trifled with. To date it is unknown if Date and the other Devil Kings had a life prior to their induction into Embryon and their special task force, or if they were raised within the government for the expressed purpose of eventually becoming the fearsome group that they are today. What is known is that somewhere along the way Date in particular rose to prominence for his outstanding and bloodthirsty performances, gaining his reputation as the leader of the group and truly living up to the title of his namesake, the 'One-Eyed Dragon'. Personality: Yukimura is one of the poster boys for the Devil Kings, along with Date Masamune. His hot-blooded and "battle-crazy" character contrasts strongly with the One Eyed Dragon's cool demeanor. In Yukimura's life battle is everything: His master and revered idol is one of the strongest men in the world, and his method to educate Yukimura consists in punching him and giving him life lessons (always with battle metaphors). Probably because of this, Yukimura is incredibly naive and completely ignorant of anything related to the opposite sex, leading him to be made fun of by smooth-talking men, cringe in horror at the anyone's lovey-dovey antics, and have humorous conversations with his ninja comrade, the lazy and aloof captain, Sarutobi Sasuke. Yukimura's way of fighting is 100% "frontal", one-on-one, with no tricks or cheating. His ideal is to walk the path of the warrior, and constantly searches for new possibilities to test his skills (preferably by battling Date Masamune), all the while supporting his master's goal to enter the capital and conquer the country. Bio: Yukimura doesn't exist, more or less, in the recorded history of Embryon's members. On the other hand he's always been unabashedly rash and tempermental, drawing more attention to Embryon than anyone ever thought physically possible. During a time of more stability, he was even known to have once snuck into Kuzunoha village and placed a large poster of himself on the largest and most prominent surface he could; this turned out to be the sacred three cedars, and he has since become infamous to every Yatagarasu member, and the poster boy for their displeasure with Embryon, including a symbol of their seeming disrespect for everyone. Yes, Yukimura does everything without any subtlety whatsoever and has failed every mission for the Embryon that required he not make his presence known time and time again, though he always comes back having accomplished part of the task...the part that didn't require quiet, concentration, or the lack of FLAMING. If it ever hits, though, she's gonna have it baaaaad... Personality: Kenshin is forthright (often to the point of startling people who prefer to be roundabout) and focused, with a rather high amount of pride in herself and her job. She's also extremely impulsive; if she sees somebody in danger, she'll charge in to help pretty much regardless of the circumstances, even if she's completely uninvolved with someone else's feud. This is based largely on her belief that as the reincarnation of a rather famous individual (proof that the original really was female...?), it's her job to use that power in order to make the world better. Whether it wants to be made better or not. It's a bad habit that's ended up forcing her to write a considerable number of letters of apology over time, though more for the damages occuring to areas where she fights than anything else. Things would probably be worse for her if she didn't get good results often enough to be promoted to second-in-command of the Embryon's elite assault force. Kenshin also enjoys eating... lots and lots of eating, rather to the amusement of some of the support staff. Faith-wise, she tends to call on Bishamonten in battle, which may or may not actually have an effect... But either way, she's pretty well-known in the group for being a heavy attacker who can hurt almost any enemy, largely to the exclusion of other sorts of active skills. Her personality is not subtle. Neither is her fighting style (primarily Kendo; she's officially unranked and unregistered due to commitments to the Embryon, though). Bio: As with the rest of her group, Kenshin's exact background is unknown. Indeed, the amount of black ink in her files is enough to print a pretty large book with, so who she 'really' is and where she came from are complete mysteries. Except, possibly, to the leader of their group. What is known is that when their team began operating, Kenshin was there, and the mission was quietly noted down a success. Personality: Calm and critical, Jubei is a tactful and resoruceful individual and one of the most efficient members of the Devil Kings. His calm and collected demeanor is a result of his position as the current head of the Yagyu Shinkage-Ryu school. As such, any social situations he is in reflect his standing quite obviously. He follows the Devil Kings leader, Date, with a blind reverence having witnessed the mans skills and leadership capabilities first hand. He tends to regard everyone below him in rank or standing as a student, and views the world purely as a means to advance the Yagyu Shinkage Ryu style to new heights. Bio: Due to the hush hush nature of the Devil Kings no official information can be gleaned about Jubei Yagyu's past. To those who do know of him, he is a topic of interest, in that his persona now greatly matches the tales of old. Alongside all this, he met the young son of the Nanjou's head, a Hei Nanjou. The two soon became good friends, and when he learned that Hei had become the new head of the Nanjou Group, he was quite happy for him. Though, thanks to the convenient fact that he learned three different martial arts in his teen-hood, as well as the fact that he knew how to handle firearms, he volunteered to join the Nanjou to be able to serve under his friend. Not too long after his capture by the Devil Kings and assignment into the Devil's Scourge, he decided that he'd have to find other things to do aside from patrolling since there hasn't really been much action after the Persona War. He decided to attend school more, having skipped a lot of days prior to the War, and decided to start hanging out with other people and make some new friends. He's been interacting well with his fellow peers, and his favorite hobby aside from fighting and hanging out with friends is flirting with various women he finds attractive, of course, not in a perverted way. Personality: Eiko is a very naive and optimistic young woman. She contains the ability to work countless hours and not sleep in between, no exageration. And not to mention, she is like a living encyclopedia. She can remember any bits of information she remembers and all the files that are contained in her office. Every single detail on their enemies, the Devil Kings, missions, previous Embryon soldiers, you name it; all contained in her head and in her files. Which also means she knows almost every single confidential detail about her allies (which is totally not creepy). Eiko does all the paperwork the Shogen sends to the Devil Kings without batting an eye; and most of all... she is an undeniable dork. With the brain of a genius. Addicted to Pocky sticks; noticed by the inhuman amount of wrappers in her office, and requires low levels of sleep. Office is horribly messy, but she can find a specific file in record's time. Always and ALWAYS drinking coffee while doing paperwork/working on computer.
