Questions and Answers
What is Clue?Clue or Cluedo is a deduction board game where players have to figure out who killed Mr. Buddy/Black. If you like to learn more about Clue, here's the
link. When do I get my "evidence?"Before the start of the game, I will PM you your evidence. Those evidence are your eyes and eyes only. You are not to reveal your evidence to other players; only the number if they receive their suggestion incorrect. If you lost your evidence or misplace it, PM me and I'll tell you your evidence.
Why can't I reveal my evidence?Although the game is to find out who kills the victim with which weapon in which room, having the evidence reveal will ruin the aspect of the game. By revealing the evidence, it's like showing the cheat code to the game or like having the answer to your test. It will be too easy for the players to figure out the result and end the game quicker. Therefore, if we want to enjoy the game and have the players guessing, we must have the evidence concealed as much as possible. The only information we can give out is the number of evidence of incorrect that the player makes in the suggestion. Not to mention, revealing the evidence is against the rule and it will result you to be removed from the game.
Do I have to be active to play this game?Yes, it is according to the rules. The reason why I want players to be active is so they can figure out the result and finish the game. If we are to wait longer, it will postpone the game and people may tend to get anxious of wanting to see the result. If you are busy at the moment, you have three days to finish your turn. If you do not finish your turn and it passes three days, then you will be removed from the game and your evidence will be shown to players.
How do I know it's my turn?It will be based by those who enter the game. Let's say you enter in fourth to play the game. This mean that you are the fourth person to roll the die, meaning you have to wait three turns before it's your turn to roll.
How do I roll a die? When you're on the posting page, click "Roll Dice" from the "Post Action" above the post formatting section. Once it loads, click "6 sided" from "Select Dice" and type "1" in "Number of dice" before posting whatever you want in the post.
I forgot to roll the die! Can I delete my post and do a redo? No. Like the rule stated, you are not allowed to delete your post. I don't want to delete or postpone other people's posts just so you can do a redo. Just interact with the players and wait your turn to roll. And this time, MAKE SURE that you remember to roll.
What do I write while rolling the die?Anything except revealing your evidence. You can either chat, bump, or RP in the game. But if you are planning to RP involving this game, I like to remind you not to reveal your evidence. Even if the player you're talking to is saying a specific suggestion, kindly say "That's a nice suggestion" or something to avoid it unless you're being address to the suggestion. As long as you don't reveal your evidence, it's okay.
Wait... How can we win this game if we can't reveal the evidence? This is why suggestion post is made. It's to help those eliminate the possibility. For example, let's say Person 1 suggests to Person 2 about his suggestion. Person 2 replies that one of the three suggestions is incorrect. This means one of the three is likely going to be eliminated.
Person 3 suggests to Person 2 about her suggestion, having the same weapon that Person 1 suggested. Person 2 replies that two of the three suggestions is incorrect.
Since Person 1 and Person 3 has the same weapon suggested and Person 2 said is incorrect, this means that the suggested weapon is eliminated. So if you have a very good mind of tracking, this should help you play the game.
Um... Wouldn't it be MUCH easier and faster to just roll the dice to see which players we get instead of rolling a 6 or 1?True. It would be much easier and faster if we don't have to roll a 6 or 1. However, the reason why we have to roll a 6 or 1 is so the players can have enough time to deduct the assumption, not to mention allow the player to respond instead of hassling through piles of suggestions. We don't want our player to get a headache.
Can I interact with the "suspects?"Only if the respective owners of the suspects want to drop by and interact with you. I'm sorry but I do not plan of having the suspects to interact with you unless the owners want to. Let's just say that the suspects are in "witness protection" until the murder case is over. In the meantime, the only people you can interact are those playing in the game.
Someone is interacting with me. Can I respond to the person without waiting my turn? No, you are to wait your turn. The reason why I want you to wait your turn is because I don't want people randomly throwing suggestions everywhere or keep rolling the die one person after another without letting others take their turn. I want everyone to have a fair share deal of playing. So if someone is interacting with you, please wait until it is your turn to interact. The only exception I will allow you to respond without waiting is if you're the person being responded to the suggestion post or someone makes an accusation post.
In the suggestion post, how do I know which person to suggest? It's based by the die you roll and the order of those who enter. Let's say you roll a 3. The third person who enters the game will be the person you will give your suggestion. If you happen to roll your own number, then you can choose any player you wish to suggest.
Someone makes a suggestion and has the evidence I have. Should I reveal it?No, you are not allowed to reveal it. If you did, not only did you let others know which evidence is to be eliminated, but you will be removed from the game for violating the rule. To inform the person, you are to tell the person the number of evidence that person has incorrectly. If the player has none of your evidence, kindly tell the person that it's a good suggestion and I will inform the person whether the suggestion is correct or not.
I've figured out the murder case! Do I have to wait my turn to make an accusation post? No. You can post right away if you want to make an accusation. There is no waiting turn and you don't need to roll the die if you've figured out who did it, which weapon, and where. However, be warned. If your accusation is wrong, you will be removed from the game and your evidence will be shown to other players. So caution carefully about your result.
Someone makes an accusation and got it wrong. Should I inform the person?Yes, you are to inform the accuser about the statement as long as you don't reveal your evidence. You don't need to tell the accuser how many evidence did he got incorrectly. Simply telling him "You're wrong!" is enough to tell him he got his accusation incorrect.
I've been removed from the game! Can I still interact?Even though you are removed from the game, it does not mean you cannot interact. You can continue interact with the players, but you can't play the game. This means you can't roll the die, keep your evidence as confidential, and make suggestions to other players. Even if you want to help the players about the game, you are still not allowed to play. However, the good news is you don't have to wait your turn to interact.
Is this game canon to the FEF RP?........... What makes you think this is a canon game?
stare No. This game is not canon to the FEF RP. Otherwise, there's no way Nino would be dead or the suspects mingling together so well. This is a NONCANON game. In fact, it's not even related to any RP at all. -__-
