Elegancia d'Strella leaned back against a tree, watching all the flowers sway in the half-Summer, half-Autumn winds, waiting-- anticipating. She wondered if it was really a good idea to agree to a friendly spar-match with Adira, a girl that she had found herself quickly befriending. The Sun was setting, casting its final rays of light upon the flower garden-- everything turned into a bright, pinkish-orange color as the Sun made way for the Moon. Elegancia was glad that she decided to arrive early, as the scenery really did soothe her.
It was very quiet, not a soul to be found in the area-- there were no sounds of the city to be heard at all. Elegancia inhaled a deep gulp of fresh air, pondered upon the situation once more, and then exhaled. She only agreed to the spar because Elegancia played to win. And finally, Sailor Perseus had arrived-- right as the began Moon rise, just as planned. Elegancia stepped from behind the tree, only, not as Elegancia-- she was now Sailor Rosalind, the sailor-suited Soldier of Wealth.
"Hello, Sailor Perseus," she began in a somewhat-nervous tone, "let me remind you: there will be no hair-pulling, no use of blunt objects, and absolutely no spitting-- that's gross." She flipped back of thick strand of glossy hair, then added, "anyways, are you ready?" Rosalind took a defensive stance as she basked in the light of the Moon, trying to seem as impressively mature as she could manage.

Adira didn't just simply play to win, like her sailor suited counterpart. She planned to win, and as such had planned just about everything she was going to be doing for the night. The girl had gone for a run, showered, eaten dinner, and henshin'd all within a strict time line that she had found strangely relaxing. And now that it was time to go, she was ready for it. The walk to the park had been pleasant. It was warm for early autumn, and it smelled like flowers. Adira's bright blue eyes observed Sailor Rosalind for a second before stepping out of the shadows and into the moonlight. "I know the rules of a fair fight. And yes, I am." It was calmer than she thought she could have managed. Inside, Perseus was a bundle of nerves that just barely peeked through the impressive poker face she was managing. She too took a fighting stance before beginning to circle hesitantly to her right. While Perseus had certainly gotten better at fighting, so had Rosalind. They'd been through a lot together, and now their argument from before was ending decisively, with a battle. Perseus kept moving in a predefined pattern, with sturdy feet, always rooted to the ground. She knew Rosalind could be impatient, and Perseus hoped that she could lure her into attacking first.

The whole thing just felt weird. Sailor Perseus had never been antagonistic, nor was she evil, so it was just strange. Rosalind had to psyche herself out of the whole 'this is not right' mentality. After all, it was all in good fun. Rosalind felt compelled to mention that, unless Perseus' lips found their way to her body, she had the advantage in this battle. The two were pretty even in terms of physical prowess, so it ought to have been a pretty even match.
"You know, Perseus," Sailor Rosalind began, "I feel pretty uneasy with you circling me as if I'm your prey. This is just a spar, right?" She chuckled at the idea of Perseus-the-Huntress, then, decided upon a tactic. Rosalind, as quickly as she could, plucked a handful of flowers and thrust them in the vicinity of Perseus' face. It was a shame that it wasn't Spring, because then they would have been extra pollen-y and would have bought Rosalind more time. She did not wait to see if her plan was successful, and ran immediately after the petals, arm pulled back with elbow forward. If her elbow-jab-attack connected, it would have been extremely painful for Perseus. Rosalind felt sorry.

"Nothing is ever halfway." It was all she chose to say. Yes, while it was a spar, it was still a serious competition of Perseus. Everything was for the overachieving girl. It was a good chance to stretch her actual fighting skills without relying on another scout for backup. There wasn't long for her to dwell on it before Rosalind had busted into action. The frilly sailor scooped up some flowers and before she could even think about it further they were crowding her vision and filling her nose with a pretty but overpowering scent. The girl let out a noise of displeasure. It was short work to get them off of her face, considering that gravity did most of the work. What she saw after the flowers could only be described as a dirty move; but it did open the door for other things. If Rosalind could fight dirty, so could Perseus. There wasn't much she could do about it right now though. Stepping back, she tried to roll with the hit, but it ended up hitting her mostly in the stomach, knocking the wind out of lungs. Perseus continued rolling though, trying to use Rosalind's momentum against her. The sailor pushed her hands outward, hoping to push her opponent forward. Hopefully to the ground, but at least off balance.

When Rosalind heard Perseus grunt, there was a part of her that felt really bad-- after all, Perseus was a friend. They had been through a few battles, and she had always been nice and respectful. But right now, that all had to be forgotten-- right now, they were enemies. Right now, Rosalind wanted to win. She couldn't feel bad. They had both agreed to this.
But as the Soldier of Wealth elbowed Perseus, she felt her moved back. Darn! The brunette immediately tried to halt herself, skidding her heels into the pavement, but it was too late, and her momentum was too great. Rosalind began to feel herself fall forward, but then Perseus' hands found themselves on Rosalind-- oh boy, she did not want to be kissed. But she wasn't. Rosalind was pushed forward, and pretty hard, too! Perseus must have been pretty mad for the jab Rosalind did.
She was thrown back and into a patch of dirt. "Hey, you didn't have to push me that hard! And not in the dirt, either!!" Rosalind went to pick herself up, but what would Perseus do?

"This is a fight, Rosalind." The way she said it showed disinterest. Perseus knew the power of words more than she did the power of fists, but she certainly intended to use both. That being said, the scout had enough honor to avoid the cheap move of attacking an opponent when they were recovering. This wasn't life or death, this was a spar, and morals and honor were to be upheld. Once Rosalind was standing, however, she was fair game. Perseus ran towards the Soldier of Wealth, aiming a solid punch for her stomach. The footing of the ground around them, however, left much to be desired. Flowers were pretty to look at, but they didn't provide a good surface to run cleanly on. The girl tripped up for a second, recovering mostly, but her intended punch was no long as on target or as strong as what it could have been.

Rosalind winced at Sailor Perseus' unflinching seriousness. "Yes. I know what this is, Percy." It was kind of funny that in a situation such as this, Sailor Rosalind decided to call her comrade by a newfound nickname for the first time-- she dropped the formalities for the battle, forgetting her "manners" for a second. The brunette watched Perseus and was hesitant to make another strike, but then, the Soldier of Illusion made the next move. She dashed across the field of flowers, trying to make a jab at Rosalind, but skidded a bit. As such, the intended damage was not as harsh on her as it should have been.
There was a brief struggle in the flowers, as Perseus punched Rosalind in the stomach softly. "Ha! Is that the best you can do?!"
Apparently not, because Perseus immediately aimed another punch straight at her stomach-- but it successfully connected this time. Rosalind doubled over in pain, took a few steps back, and called out her magical incantation.
"Sterling Silver VOLLEY!" The downpour began-- in the trees, the flowers, the pavement-- and the girls.

Perseus's eyes narrowed a bit at the new nickname. The first punch had been for the sake of winning. The second punch very well might have been a bit more personal for that very sake. Adira didn't like weird nicknames, so therefore neither did Perseus. The downpour of coins had been something she'd expected, but it didn't feel like she thought it would. They were heavier than imagined and stung when they made contact with flesh. Perseus had never been on the receiving end of Rosalind's attack, but it made her appreciate a little more (when it wasn't being used on her). A gloved hand went up, trying to shield her face from the silver barrage. The flowers around the pair were crushed into the dirt, releasing a huge amount of fragrance into the air. Perseus's legs moved without much objection, carrying her as close to her opponent as she could manage. If Rosalind wanted to use magic, then the other girl would certainly oblige. The sailor blindly leaped forward, aiming a kiss at the side of the others mouth. Not enough to be a full on kiss, but enough to be close.

Oh, no. Rosalind saw it coming from the moment Perseus re-launched herself upon her. She had seen it happen many times before, but Rosalind never foresaw the attack being used on her. It was kind of like one of those slow-motion dreams, the kind where you saw the danger approaching from a mile away, but you could only move at the pace of a snail. As she stood by idly, watching Perseus draw ever closer with each nano-second that passed, their lips connected. And Rosalind recoiled more dramatically than when she had been punched.
"Perseus, how dare you!! That was my first kiss! And I'm not a lesbian, you know, so what will I tell my future daughter when I share stories with her about my first kiss?!" Rosalind threw her hands upon her cheeks in disdain and continued to groan. It really was, unfortunately, Rosalind's very first kiss.
And then the magical aspect of Perseus' ability kicked in. Things blurred together and colors were exaggerated. The flowers beneath them looking like they were dancing around and crawling on their feet. In a desperate attempt, Rosalind swung a foot around her like a roundhouse kick. She did so twice, stopped so as to not get dizzy, and did it again, continually. Perseus wouldn't be getting near Rosalind anytime soon. The only thing Rosalind needed to be wary of was depth-perception... Hopefully a tree wasn't nearby...

"Then don't count it? Why would this be your first kiss? Just count it as an attack, not a kiss." Though, it was strange to realize that they had kissed, and that it actually had been Rosalind's first kiss. Perseus felt bad about it in some sense, but at the same time she'd opened up the floor to magical attacks the second she had shouted 'sterling silver volley'.
It was funny, however, to see Rosalind flailing her leg around in the air, and the sailor emitted a giggle. It might have been more impressive had the Sailor of wealth been more coordinated. As it was, her roundhouse kicks were sloppy and dramatic, and unfortunately for Rosalind not threatening in the slightest.
"Rosalind, you might want to stop kicking." There were several trees in the senshi's way, and Perseus didn't want her to break her leg. For good measure, Perseus reached forward to give the girl a gentle spin in the other direction, avoiding her long legs for the most part in the process. Though, a golden heel grazed her tights, leaving a long run and a little blood running down her leg.

It may have been sound advice if it had never happened. But their lips had touched, and by Rosalind's definition, that was a kiss. Not even Rosalind had kissed herself before! Wait, did that even make sense? Perseus' kiss must have disoriented logical thought as well! Unfortunately, it wasn't so much Perseus' magical kiss as it was Rosalind's rather... Unique way of thinking. "How can I not count it?!" She inquired, beginning to feel dizzy from her 'kicks', but she wouldn't stop, because she was furious. "You've ruined my life!!"
She continued to flail around with her legs out, not heeding Perseus' warning. Oh, no-- Rosalind wasn't going to take any advice from her right now!! At that moment, the Soldier of Wealth began to spin even harder and with more ferocity. But the brunette felt a guiding hand on her hip, pushing her slightly off course. This must have been one of her ploys to get her down!!
Kicking even harder, Rosalind spun as hard as she could, and... Well, she fell on the floor. She wasn't sure if the illusion was still in effect, but darn, everything was still spinning!! Sailor Rosalind sat up, but as she did so, it felt like her face hit a brick wall.
... She was going to be sick.

"I've done no such thing...Rosalind, you're going to make yourself sick!" For Perseus, the battle was all but forgotten. The other senshi looked almost as green as her fuku, and also looked like she was going to be seriously ill. The girl had never seen someone react so badly to her attack before, but then again, she'd also never seen anyone expend so much energy while under its effect. Most people had a hard time walking a few feet, let alone kicking wildly halfway across a park.
Supporting her friend, Perseus gently pulled back Rosalind's hair, just in case she actually did need to empty the contents of her stomach. "Its alright Rosalind, I've got you. We should get you home." Looking around at the wild mess they'd torn through the patch of flowers, she had to let out a little smile. The Negaverse was going to be in trouble once the pair of them got into true fighting shape.
"Rosalind, maybe you should power down so I can carry you home?" There was no way, after all, that her counterparts hoop skirt was going to make a piggy back ride comfortable for either of them.

Rosalind couldn't argue with sound logic. It was strange how constantly her train of thought changed from one thing to another. One moment, she was so upset over her pseudo-lesbian encounter, the next she was focused on getting home. It was only natural, though, since she felt as though she was about to vomit her brains out of her mouth. Literally.
"Well," she began, rather solemnly, "I suppose it would be a good time to go... go... go... urgh!!... Go home." Rosalind had to choke something back. How devastating it would have been to have thrown up all over Perseus! Rosalind, reluctantly, swallowed it down. "For whatever it's worth, thank you." The brunette looked up at the moon, hovering above them, in all its crescent glory. It was good to have a friend who had your back.
The Soldier of Wealth foresaw a rather successful team in the near future. But first, she needed to get home and to the bathroom. Rosalind powered down in a minty green light, and then added, "And Perseus? One last thing... Do you think you could walk a little faster?"

As soon as her team mate powered down, Sailor Perseus awkwardly hoisted her up piggy back style. She figured it would be faster and easier to carry the girl this way than it would be in her civilian form.
She smiled when her teammate asked her to walk faster. "Sure thing. We'll have you home in no time." Perseus had only been to the girls house once or twice, but remembered the way well enough. In the expensive parts of town, you had less houses to comb through anyways. The sailor soldier and passenger left the ruined mess of the park and headed for home.
It seemed as if Team Vogue had officially begun!
