Capel Gardens Hedge mazes and statues litter the grounds giving any walker a decent history lesson.

*Sighs lightly as he lugs a swollen bookbag of homework over his shoulder, wandering the bush-fenced paths in search of a quiet place to study*

*Sits a little way from the path against the gnarled trunk of a shade tree, on knee drawn up to his chest for the small book in his hand to rest on. Seems content as the breeze ruffles his hair across his face, smoldering eyes intent on the book. Asher having the uncanny ability his "mother" had of being able to flop about, yet look as perfectly appealing as someone who had spent hours primping and figuring the right pose*

*Pauses when he notices Asher, an uncertain frown on his lips*
*Draws in a slow breath, holding it as he crosses the grass and purposefully lingers within view*

*Murmurs, still reading as he sings softly* What keeps the pressure building? What takes your breath away? What do I have to do to make *Eyes flicker up, catching Micah's as he gives a playful smirk* you want to fall in love with me?

How is your foster mother?

Starving herself on account of your mother, but well enough, I suppose.

*Nods and sets his book to his side, letting his elbow rest atop his knee, hand dangling over*
She deserved to be. The community needs someone like her to help keep it standing. It's tragic how little there is to hold up and how fragile it seems to be. Societies are such thinly weaved things...

The community's alienation alone will keep it standing. Social persecution has been the foundation of huge countries - it'll keep things here grounded.
*Pulls a text book free of his bag, placing it across his lap* Did you finish Professor Bulstrode's essay yet?

Hmm, yesterday.
*Watches past Micah for a moment before looking back to him*
You're right, you know? Perhaps, in a few years there won't be a need for so much isolation.. When the current officials of the Ministry are done with their terms...when our generation are the ones up and could be in the running it might be different.
Not like any of them give a s**t about politics and racism to worry with it...
