My fate cannot be mastered; it can only be collaborated with and thereby, to some extent, directed. Nor am I the captain of my soul; I am only its noisiest passenger.

The thin girl sets outside the ballroom, content at her table as she pays no heed to the festivities behind her. Chin propped up on one hand, the other idly petting her dragon, the girl gazes into her crystal...or is that glass?...ball. Chocolate brown eyes are obscured by her blue curls as she eyes the orb intently, as if watching something. It only lasts for a brief moment; the young girl is soon looking back up, offering a smile to all who pass. The orange contruction paper sign, with its black-sharpie text, proudly proclaims her purpose her:

:: What This Is ::
This is pretty much a Halloween prompt-stop. Each one is tailored to the specific child. If you ask for one and decide you don't want to do it, not to worry; there's no obligations to complete it. But, if you do decide to respond to your prompt and post it in your child's journal, it will count for 2 solos.

:: Rules ::
- All Fortune Requests MUST be in-character
- Please posts your responses in your child's journal
- Limit of Prompts per Child(not per owner) is 3.
- Have fun!
--- It CAN be RP'd out if need be, or even drawn out into several RPs. In which case, it counts as 2 solos + # of PDs. ((Even if you don't type it as a solo ))

:: Other Info ::
- If a shadow is involved in the prompt, the response will count for them too. :3
- Example is below!

The purple haired girl giggled, making her way over to the table. Ooh, fortunes! Maybe like those little slips in the cookies at the Chinese restaurant? Maybe the table had yummy cookies too! The teen giggled behind her black and orange cat mask as she made her way to the table.

"Hello!" she chirped, her tone cheerful as she sunk into the chair in front of the other girl's table. "Ooh.....that's pretty!" Baby blue eyes stared at the clear, shiny orb a moment before looking up at the blue haired girl. "Can you tell my fortune?" the girl asked, her eyes wide with the same wonder often held by a child when watching a magician for the first time.

Jaella Azoulai

Tarli smiled at the girl as she approached, head propped up on one arm as she took mental note about her first patron. "Of course I can." the young girl said, smiling as pondered what route to take. She petted her dragon idly, thinking it over. Suddenly, she reached out, taking the girl's hand in hers gently. She turned it over, brown eyes examining the creases and lines of the girls palm.

"What was once hidden in murk will become clear, and the letters become clear to you." The girl reached under the table, rifling through her bag. "Here. This aid you." she said, handing over a book: "By the Light of the Halloween Moon".

Prompt
It's common knowledge that Jaella doesn't know how to read. So, now's the time for her to learn! She's been given the book, now to get her to sit down and conquer those alphabets! D:<

The wingless butterfly girl slowly made her way past a table, where a woman was sitting with a chrystal ball. Her masked eyes gazed curiously at her, and she took a seat, intrigued by the thought of learning her future.

"Although I know that the future is never a bright one, nor are there such things as "happy endings", I'd like a little insight into what the future could bring." Her words were soft, almost cold, though she did not intend them to be. She could not help but feel bitter towards the world. There was no joy to be found at all.

However, it would be a bit amusing to learn whether or not the future would be dimmer than she had thought.

Azrael toured around the event, decked out in a ringmaster costume but with his personal touch. With a bit of help from some people, mainly one of Ary's friends who did all the special effects make-up for horror films, he looked zombified from his blood-matted hair to his rotted pumpkin-tipped tail. Then his ringmaster costume got it's own makeover by being varying colors of orange, black, and purple and carrying a black cane topped with a polished orange pumpkin. As he walked around, his eyes fell upon one of the many tables though this was a little more unique in it's goal.

"Fortune telling...?" he muttered, reading the sign aloud. Ha. Like those were ever true but still, the ever prideful child had to go and try it out at least once. "Well, well, well, what have we got here? So you can tell my future, can you?" Azrael commented, sitting down in the only other chair available for the table.

The blue-haired child looked up at Alome, listening to her before looking down to her crystal ball. "You've been hurt deeply, and something has been torn from you." she said, her tone soft and faraway. "You've had a brush with the otherside...." The girl's voice took on a hint of sadness; she still couldn't comprehend what could make one feel so sad that.... She shook her head.

The air seemed to thicken a bit around the two as brown eyes rested on Alome. "Whether you remember them or not, one of those who have gone before you come to you to prevent history from repeating once again." she said, holding eye contact with the pale-eyed girl before looking down back to her crystal ball.

Prompt
It's one of those quiet, dark October nights. While alone and left to her thoughts, Alome finds herself confronted with a ghost who has something to say about her previous actions involving ethyl acetate. They fell victim to the same actions, and want to prevent someone from suffering their fate. What kind of conversation do the two have, if the little butterfly stays to chat and doesn't go running to call Ghostbusters?

Eve ran a hand through her hair, a look of annoyance on the toddler's face as she was dressed in the most unusual way she had ever been. What had been Romero's idea and then blossomed into Ivy's idea, left her in a very light blue child's gown and her hair made up into red bouncing curls with added hair held on by several hair combs. The gown went to her feet with a bustle on the back.

I'm dressed like one of Anya's dolls. She thought with dismay. She held the small umbrella she had been given and adjusted the unicorn hat that came with the outfit. Only her stitched together face and what was exposed of her arms from the lacy white gloves showed what she really was.

Eve felt like a doll, but the sign offering a chance to hear your fortune told for free cheered the ragdoll up. She walked over to the table though slower than usually because of the gown.

A small smirk spread across the girl's face as she eyed the boy. "Yes, Azrael, I can tell your future." she said, intentionally using the name that the boy had never given her. She didn't like being doubted. "The accuracy may be a bit off; the future is an ever-changing thing, you know. Nothing is set in stone." The girl was now shuffling a deck of cards. She spread them out infront of her, closing her eyes as she picked four cards. She then gather the others into a stack before flipping the other four over. The cards were blank, but the girl seemed to see something in them.

"Your darker side is rising slowly, coming to the surface.
Beware it's dark allure and fight it's evil purpose.
For those inner shadows creep beneath like the midnight ghost
Seeking out harm and ill for those you care the most
Heed my words, and listen well
To these words I am to tell
The inner demons seek to wake
And with it, your friends to take."

The girl's tone seemed hollow, her eyes locked on the cards. She sat there in silence a moment before looking back up to the boy. "Be careful." she said, feeling sorry for the boy. "And send your brother my best regards."

Prompt
The combination of stress and the dark energies of the Halloweve season are taking their toll on Azrael. Something dark has been lurking beneath that smile, and it's about to make itself known to the world. What happens, and how far does it go before the boy regains his wits? If he regains them, that is.

"Why, hello there." the blue-haired child smiled down at Eve. "I take it you want your fortune told, right?" Without waiting for an answer, the girl stood, making her way around the table and kneeling in front of the little girl. "Now, let's see what there is to see, shall we? " she said, gently taking the little girl's hand and taking the glove off to get a good look at the the lines that traced along Eve's palm.

"It's hard to see your lines past that of the bits left of the others." The girl said, closely examining her hand. "Hmm.....you're going to come apart at the seams? Well, now, I don't think a sweet little girl like you would throw a tantrum, but be careful, alright?" Tarli said, smiling and slipping the glove back on the girl's hand before sitting back down at her table.

Prompt
Oh dear. While trick-or-treating, Eve's arm seems to have fallen off. And, instead of laying on the ground like a good arm should, it's run off into the dark of the night and into the basket of an old woman. She seemed to have been waiting there for it.... How does Eve get her arm back, and what did the lady want with a kid's arm, anyways?

Holding fast to her Aunt's hand, Deidre passed by the fortune teller without a second look. Only when Lisa stopped to ponder did she notice the blue haired teen and her booth. "Oh wow!" With an excited trot, she approached the table, her golden eyes stuck on the dragon. "I have one," Deirdre pronounced proudly, the flowers hanging on her horn bouncing. "'Cept it's bigger."

"Can you really tell fortunes?" Lisa asked curiously.

"Can you tell mine?" Deirdre chirped, squeezing the life out of her inflatable guitar with her clenched hand.

At Echo's age, an adult still had to follow him around at parties, but that didn't stop the little nix from having the time of his life. In fact, at times, it seemed to help him with certain things that he couldn't do all by himself. Like having a car to drive him and Ellery both to the little Halloween get-together that night.

The nix was holding onto Matthew's fingertip as the three of them approached the table, Echo in the lead. His half-masked face reflected in the orb that sat on the table as he peered up at it with wide turquoise eyes. From there, he looked to the sign, and then to the female, and finally back to Matthew. "Mattoo, what's this?"

Ellery scoffed from behind his devil-red face paint and gestured at the sign with his plastic trident. "Wull, dat's obvious, silly Echo. It's, uh... It's, uh, it's..."

"It's a fortune-teller, Echo," Matthew interrupted gently, a smile on his face. "You'll learn something about your future if you ask her a question. Do you want to try it, you guys?"

Ellery's eyes lit up immediately, and he rushed up to gaze at the woman. "Yeah, yeah! Tell my futures, peese, peese!"

A bit more meekly that Ellery, Echo further approached the booth, wiggling nervously just a bit beneath his dark cloak. "Um, mine, too, please. If you have the time'n'stuff."

Thali was asked very very very nicely. So you're getting--half my kids, fortune teller.

Fortune telling? Howl didn't approve of such things. It usually was a mockery of true seers; not to mention magic users in general. The wizard himself did not part-take in such things. They were under him. Certainly he could read the stars as well as the next magician, he had a fire demon to tell him what they said.

He dragged an even more reluctant Loki behind him; who in turn was carrying a squirming Leyla. "Howl, I don't think we should--" Loki began. "Miles will get offended and--" Miles was Loki's teenage brother. An oracle, the teenager was a safer bet when wishing to know the future; though he had lately begun to refuse to reveal people's futures, saying he would rather watch fate play out. It wasn't the brightest idea to upset an oracle; who knew what they could do to influence fate?

"You aren't supposed to try predicting the future. It ruins the surprise!" Leyla protested, trying to squirm from her older brother's hold. "Miles says--"

Howl rolled his eyes. "Miles also says there's no such thing as happily ever after." The wizard sat in the chair at the table, giving Tarli his usual smirk. "Tell my future then. Can you see something I cannot?"

"Could you tell mine too?" Loki asked. Unlike Howl, he had no doubt whatsoever. Having an oracle for a brother did that to you.

"Me too!" Leyla said, waving at Tarli. "I want to know my fortune too."

Regina glanced over the fortune telling table with mild disdain from behind her rather elaborate masquerade mask. Despite claiming she shouldn't have to deal with such things, Ary had forced her into a well made and incredibly beautiful ball gown.

And then ruined it by giving her a slight undead look as if she had, obviously, been killed at a party. "Fortune telling? Really?" Regina scoffed, not only disbelieving it but finding it to look more like a sham than anything else. At least the person doing them wasn't dressed as an insanely fake gypsy woman or something...

"Looks legit. Reggie, sit," Ary commanded, glancing over the table curiously. Regina glared at Ary, wishing her a most painful and drawn out death in her dagger-shooting eyes. "Fine mother." And with that, the snobby girl delicately sat down into the chair, an irritated look hidden by her mask thankfully. "And when you finish with her, perhaps you can look into mine? And Reggie, you do that and I'll ground you for a week," Ary continued, resting her hands on the back of Regina's chair, her crystal-blue eyes glowing ever so softly as she gazed at the "fortune teller".
