Syr
She liked to watch the sun go down. It was a wonderful feeling watching it turn the sky from blue to blood reds and deep golds. She loved to watch it. She loved it not only because of it's beauty but because it meant that another night was about to start.

Getting to her paws the chocolate brown dog with her streak of yellow stretched out her legs and jumped off the flat rock she had been lazing on. Time to do something, time to enjoy the night.

Sabra
Ah, the sun was setting once more. Yawning the male wild dog stretched one last time before heading to the outside. Now that it was cooler he could explore more in this new territory. Ears flicking back he surveyed it with a small sigh. This place was nothing like the sanctuary that was once guarded by his friend Pattin, but it still held potential. Enough for him to even call this place home.

Tail wagging the dog looked at a small sprout of new life with a smile. "If this little guy from that place can survive here...then surely I can coax some of the other plants to grow." He whispered quietly to himself.

Syr
Large doggy ears flickered at the sound of a voice. A voice she didn't know. Of course, she hardly knew anyone here, she hadn't been around all that long but she knew enough dogs to know when she hadn't seen a particular face before. "Greetings." She smiles, her nose wrinkling and a wag flickering her tail.

"You're new." She raises a brow, it was both a question and a statement all in one. "Sunwarrior." She bows her head a little, her deep orange eyes smiling. "Who were you talking to just now?"

Sabra
Flinching the dog jumped in surprise as another dog talked to him. "Oh!" Chuckling softly the dog ducked his head sheepishly. "Sorry." He really had to get used to the idea of others being constantly around him. Looking back up the dog offered a smile to the stranger, "Yes. I just arrived here a couple of days ago." HIs tail waved behind him as he nodded, "Sunwarrior. It's nice to meet you - I'm Mari- Silverleaf." He shook his head, "Silverleaf, that's my name here."

At her question Silverleaf laughed softly, "Oh just myself and the plant. Though mostly myself."

Syr
The golden nosed female laughed a short happy bark. "Oh? You talk to plants often?" She laughs a gentle slightly teasing laugh.

"Silverleaf, you know, if you like to talk to plants you should go to the woods, there are lots of plants there." She smiles, who was she to judge anyone on what they liked to do with their spare time?

Sabra
Silverleaf's eyes glittered with amusement at her reply. "Ah yes. Though they don't make good conversation, poor things don't talk much at all." He grinned playfully before blinkign at her statement. "Oh, yes I know. I plan to head there later to watch the other tree shapers at work so I can know more about my role here." The dog smiled with excitement, "But this little guy here, well I tried to replant him here after carrying him from my old home." His ears twitched thoughtfully, "If it grows good I'm hoping to harvest it for a healing ointment."

He blinked at Sunwarrior curiously, "Are you a treeshaper? Though your name is Sunwarrior." He added thoughtfully as it made him doubt the chance of her being one. Then again he was new - so maybe.

Syr
The female dog smiles and shakes her head. "No, I don't have the patience for that sort of thing. I'm afraid I'm a little too sharp to be a treeshaper, I do admire them though, I love the trees. Something about them just makes me feel safe. They are amazing things." She smiles gently and wags her tail.

"You carried it? I'v never heard of anything like that before. It must have been hard work, bringing a plant to some where new like that." She chuckles. "I really don't have much sense when it comes to growing and such, I just hunt, but I try to guard my family too, not that they need guarding around here, there are so many of us." She wags her tail happily, she did so love being in a big family group. "I'm heading towards the trees if you fancy a walk. I'm going that way to hunt."

Sabra
Silverleaf sighed playfully, "I see. So sad that youngsters these days don't have patience." Though truthfully he was plenty young himself, though teh dog did often feel much older than he really was. "But yes trees are amazing. All plants are." His gaze brightened with her comment before he chuckled, "Watch out or I'll never stop talking about them." He really was just glad to be able to help nuture life into this place.

"Yes." He nodded, "I was actually surprised that it lived so long, but I didn't come from that far away with it. Just a day or two of travel, though I kept having to stop to give the roots water." Silverleaf smiled, "I'm sure you do somewhere, it just takes some time to find it. Though I admire you for hunting - I'm quite teh sight when it comes to trying to chase down prey." He laughed softly thinking of his own clumsy nature, "Oh?" The dog smiled happily, "I would like that, Sunwarrior."

Syr
"Come then." She smiles turning back in the direction she had been heading, she really did need to hunt. " It's fun to hunt, to help to feed the pack, I enjoy it very much." She smiles gently wagging her soft plumy tail. She laughs at the young comment, yes, she was young, very young really, barely an adult, she knew some where in her heart she would always be a little impatient.

"Stop to water it you say? Tch, I can't imagine doing it myself. The hunt. it's quick, you run, you catch it, it's done, don't need to much patience, well a little, yanno, for the stalking, but really it's very fast paced." She chuckles a little and shakes her head. "You don't look that old though, are you just younger than you seem?" she grins a glimmer of mischievousness in her deep eyes.

Sabra
Stretching one last time the dog started to follow her. "Ah. I'm glad you enjoy it." He grinned. "Else I'd be in trouble for food." Not that he couldn't hunt, just awful at it - not to mention the thought of hurting things made him slightly queasy. As they walked he paused to study trees and other plants that caught his attention before looping back to her side. "Ah, yes."

He chuckled, "It did take a bit of patience to care for the plant." His crimson gaze watched her thoughtfully as she described the hunt, "The hunt is often quick and exciting. Though I feel plenty excitement to see any plant bloom for the first time." Grinning back at her the dog replied playfully, "Just an old soul in a young body maybe. Who knows?" He laughed, "I hope to always look younger than I seem."

Syr
Sunwarrior chuckles and shakes her head. "Old soul, hmm, yes, I'll accept that." She grins and shakes her head. "If flowers would bloom faster I'd probably have more patience for them." She chuckles wagging her tail happily. "I do love to look at them though, they are beautiful when they are open and the leaves on the trees, yes, it's all lovely, just to slow." She shakes her head and sighs.

"My father always says I should be more patient, but I like to live the fast life."

Sabra
Silverleaf smiled back at the female before laughing. "Oh, now what would be the beauty of them if they bloomed so quickly? They fade quick enough at is it." His tail wagged happily, "Yes, very lovely. Just another reason why I help tend the plants." The dog looked over at her thoughtfully before commenting. "Sometimes the fast life is the right path for some." He nodded, "It brings balance that way."

He chuckled softly, "Though I can't help but to be content with living differently than the fast life."

Syr
Sunwarrior sighs, she sometimes wished she could be more laid back, able to watch the flowers bloom, but it just wasn't her type of life. Padding up to the trees the deep chocolate dog smiled at the silvery male. "Well I have to leave you here. Need o do something productive tonight other than make friends." She smiles and bows her head. "It was a pleasure to meet you Silverleaf. I hope your plant blooms for you my friend." She flickers her ears and turns away trotting off down the hunting path.

Her mind wandered on the more relaxed life and she stopped to smell a flower on her way past, though it was so brief that the flower nearly left it's stem. She laughs and breaks in to a run, the fast life was the way for her.

Sabra
Silverleaf smiled, "Alright. I'll see you around, Sunwarrior." Watching her disappear the dog turned onto his own path where he knew he could find other tree shapers. Tail wagging the dog stopped one more time to look back at the way she had left. What an energectic soul. For once he felt the difference between his slow, patient ways and the fast life. But he was fine with that. As Sunwarrior was happy with her fast life, so was he happy with his slower one. Chuckling to himself Silverleaf started back down the path. He would see his new friend again, but for now there was work to do.
