Life had changed since he was younger. Not much though. Being a male in the pride was quite easy, and boring at times. Though, Kohaku had no room to complain. He was completely happy with his life, and didn't know anything else. Didn't know that other places treated females and males the same, as well didn't know few treated females with less respect then males. No, here females were the top dog. Bigger then most males, females ran the show. Kohaku had no problem with that. He wasn't very good at running anything. Hell, he couldn't even hunt too well. He always had help from someone one way or another. That, too, he didn't mind too much. He was proud of his pride. Regardless of his rank.
He moved swiftly on the edges of the Parastar clan. The day was nice, and easy. Wind blowing slightly, and the trees of the jungle catching it. Making the leaves hit each other in their own type of music. It was something he could listen to all day if allowed. Which sometimes he did, if he could get away with it. It made the day better when he could get away with that. He sighed at the beautiful sounds of nature. The chirping of the birds high above him. He closed his eyes as he walked.
Sometimes it made him think of the child hood he had. growing up with his sister, and the easy life it had been. Though, still easy now, but he missed the company of his sibling. She had always been fun to play with, and now they had parted ways. Her, an trained warrior, and him a mostly useless male. Though, in the good sense of it. It saddened him that he probably wouldn't see his sister much as he did when he was younger. How he took advantage of that. But then again, she had much more important things then to hang out with him.

It had taken Narhari longer then he had thought to get to the lands his mate had told him about. Having getting lost, he finally found the place. Now, his children where adults. He felt bad for not being there as they grew up. He wanted to make up to Mono for that, somehow. He had met up with her, and she had told him where to go for the male clan of the pride. He didn't want to get anything wrong. Not again. It was bad that he got lost, seeing as he was the navigator of his last pride. Which, he hadn't seen in so long.
He felt bad for leaving it, but he wasn't about to let Mono leave her pride. The place she knew and grew up in. No, he couldn't do that. He signed as he was trying to forgive himself for messing up. But that was harder done the said, sadly. His ears were down, as he walked. Going in the direction she had pointed, and no where else. Of course, he would probably end up losing his way in this jungle. He'd never been in one, after all. The smells were all different, and confusing. So many different ones.
After a while, another creature came into view. At first he wasn't sure what it was, until he got closer. It was another lion. Not any lion though. It looked almost exactly like him, just darker, and with orange. There was no mistaking, it had to be his son. He hadn't seen his kids. He just knew he had a daughter and a son. Though, Mono never really explained to him on what they looked like. He some how knew this boy was his son. Considering it did look almost exactly like him. There was no mistaking it.
"Kohaku?"
Kohaku turned, hearing his name. It was from a voice he had never heard before. He raised a brow in curiosity. A male he didn't know, but they knew him? After a moment, he looked at the other in disbelief. He looked familiar, in away, though he couldn't really place it. Other then the male had his same markings. Though, Kohaku wasn't that smart to place to and to together. He just kinda stared at him.
He didn't say anything, just looked at the other. He looked up and down at the male. He looked almost exactly like him. Apart of a few differences. It took him a few more minutes to think about it. "Who are you?" He asked curiously. This male was an outsider, he knew that. Though, he looked like he belonged in the pride.
Saddened, but Narhari kinda figured this was to happen. He gave a weak smile to the other. At least he wasn't hostile towards him. And was a bit curious it seems. "I'm your father" He said with a nod. He was not to hesitate at all with this. He wanted to just come straight out with it. "I'm Narhari" He told the other. He wanted so much for them to forgive him for his absence. Though, what Narhari didn't know it wasn't too uncommon for a male not to be there. Unless in the pride. Which, now he was. He'd never leave now. To be close to Mono, and his kids. And who ever else.
Even if he wasn't to see Mono all the time, at least he'd have the comfort of them knowing right where he was. And the fact he'd always be with his son. At least, most the time he would be. "I am sorry I wasn't around." He said with a nod. An awkward feeling flowed threw him. An almost uncomfortable one. Was this how it was suppose to be meeting your child for the first time as they were adults?
Kohaku wasn't too surprised by the male's statement. He knew that he had a father, and his name. His mother once told him that he was coming to the pride. At the time he didn't believe her, but now he couldn't say that. If he was, indeed, his father. Which now, he could see exactly why he looked familiar. He noticed that he looked like him, but he didn't understand why. Of course, Kohaku was never the sharpest male out there.
He wasn't sure what to say. Instead he sat there for a moment taking it all in. "Umm....." What was one suppose to say to their father that they just met? He wasn't sure. "hello, then?" He spoke. Was he suppose to show him around, or was he suppose to get to know him first? He wasn't sure. It was so confusing. "I'm not sure how to actually do this, Do you want me to show you around?" he asked him. He was completely honest, at least. That was the best thing to be. His mother told him so.
Narhari was in the same boat. He wasn't sure what to do. Though Kohaku made it easier on him. At least they got to a okay start. Even if it was kinda awkward and uncomfortable. Maybe there would be a better bond between them soon. It would just take some time, and getting to know him. And the pride. He smiled at the other. "That'd be wonderful" He said with a nod. If he could see everything once, he'd know here to go after that. He only needed to see it once, to remember it.
"I need a good tutor around this place." He added. This made things so much less awkward, at least to him. He wasn't sure about his son. And wasn't about to ask him. He didn't want it to become uncomfortable again.
Kohaku nodded at the other. His father. Odd, he didn't know how he could address him. Does he call him Dad? Or does he call him by his real name? It just was odd, he'd have to ask him later on how he wanted to be called. Maybe they could be both adults and call each other by their name. Dad just sounded almost too childish. Then again, Kohaku was good with childish most the time.
"This way," He said with a nod. "I'll show you around the clan as best as I can." He told him. Though wasn't sure exactly what else to do. He couldn't show him around the pride itself. Seeing as most the clans in the place where completely female ones. And the only time males were to set foot in them was if the asked them too. He wondered how well his dad would handle that. Being an outsider and all.
"That would be wonderful, Kohaku" He said. He wanted to say son, but seeing as he was an adult now, it was best to call him by his name he was given. Sad that he wasn't there to name them. Though, he was very pleased with the names given. Mono did an excellent job at naming them. He couldn't have helped with better names, he thought.
"So, this is where all the males stay?" He asked as they started moving towards the parastar area. He understood as much as what Mono had told him, and respected every aspect of it. He felt that females should be treated better then males, anyways. He'd always given females the up most respect, while with males, he only gave them a small degree if they deserved it.
